Sorry, I haven't had this situation in the Danish league, but what @ivanow42 explained usually works for other competitions that require squad registrations, so I don't see why the Superliga would be different.

Got the same in the second season, playing with AaB. First season I finished 3rd, and that was counted as achievement complete (for both seasons the target was to have a place in the Championship Group). Also in several news items, AaB was quoted as finished 5th (which was my position in the preliminary phase).
