@Cheez3y - I'm really jealous of your maps there. I'm a bit of a map geek myself, so whenever I go somewhere other than Rushden, I might have to steal some of those ideas from you...
i stole his idea to create an overview from all the intake nations and adding birth cities to a map is something I enjoyed doing with my Ile De France 'only' with Paris FC.
great job @Cheez3y

Copa Libertadores Update 2030
CHALLENGE COMPLETED
A very unexpected, but a truly great win in the Copa Libertadores! A 5-0 win in the final against league rivals River Plate, the team we have struggled the most against in the league!!
The domestic league and the Copa Libertadores doesn't correlate with each other, so we started off the season with the first knock out stage of the Copa Libertadores.
We faced Gremio in the first knockout stage and since we won our group stage the first game was away. 2-2 away and a 3-1 win at home saw us through to the quarter finals. Next up was Flamengo and even though the Brazilian teams are better than the Argentinian teams they were struggling in the league and it was obvious in the first game at home that we were the team in form. A 3-0 win gave us a great result for the return leg, a game that ended goalless.
In the semi final we faced Boca Juniors. A really good team that we often struggle against in the league, especially away. We won the first game at home 1-0, a decent result, but I feared it wasnt enough, they usually beat us with more than one goal in the league when we face them away! The game was intense and very evenly played, but they managed to score the only goal of the game in the 52nd minute and it was straight to penalties at the final whistle. We have only one single player with more than 9 in penalty taking attribute and I feared the worst! We somehow managed to score on all 5 and when Boca missed their last penalty we booked our ticket to the finals!
Facing River Plate in the final we were underdogs, but they had found themselves in an unusually bad run of form. 4 losses in their previous 8 games is very unusual for a team of their quality. When playing the final we were 16 rounds into the domestic league, with us sitting first and River in 6th place, 8 points behind us. But I still didn't expect us to absolutely smash them 5-0 in the final! A hat trick from our star striker Leonardo Moustafa was the icing on the cake! We scored in the 27th, 53rd, 59th, 62nd and 80th minute and we completely outplayed them. What a way to win it!
That is the challenge completed as I won the domestic league two seasons ago. I will end the save here and start in a new country (obviously on this challenge). I can really recommend Argentina, I will do the challenge again here on FM22 I think!
Thanks @darren1983 for making FM 10 times more fun!

First world problems, I know, but I have too many good goalkeepers!
The top two are the main ones, and I'm unsure who to use. McGurk 30d has been first choice lately, but now my coaches rate Murray 29e higher. There are also 3 talented ones out on loan and another 16 year old that looks promising.
They are really close, and I'm thinking about seeing if I can sell McGurk 30d since he is valued so much, and then start Murray 29e while the others get some more loans. Here are Collins 31e vs Cook 31b:
Not far off the other two either... A bit lower in the mentals, but they are younger as well. Any thoughts?
If u send a screenshot of all their attributes (profile screen) i'll put them in my excel just to check what that spreadsheet says

Is anyone managing in Portugal? It seems a bit confusing as to which teams you are allowed to take over. I believe it's any teams that have been promoted to the 'Campeonato de Portugal' league ( any group) which would be good as Padroenese are promoted to that level and have great facilities and exceptional coaching. W
I think it is called district or something; u have to pick a team like Belenenses etc.

AFC Rushden & Diamonds Season 2033/34 review
Table | Squad | Transfers | Finances
There we go! Finally eating cherries with the big boys! I think we are going to be thumped back down, but at least we will have given it a shot. Also, Fulham ran away with the league early on, and we were left to fight for the 2nd promotion spot and the playoff spots. The hardest fight was for the 2nd promotion spot against Reading and Sheffield United, but in the end we succeeded. It was a bit close though, as we had a mixed end to the season while Reading went on a winning spree and were suddenly at our heels going into the final match. We managed to win at home to Coventry int he final match though and the promotion was secure.
I will showcase one player here who has been with us for a long time now. Our captain and one of the legends of AFC Rushden & Diamonds, Bruno Costa 25e. He has been with us since VNN and is one goal short of 300 league goals. A real legend for us he is.
We are still continuing to improve the facilities, and expanding the stadium. The stadium now has a capacity of 9,931, and I've not been able to ask for further, so I don't know what will happen there.
The preview was decent, but the intake was rather poor compared to what we've had lately. Jorge 34a seems like a good talent and has some very good mental attributes for his age.
In the FA Cup we lost to West Brom in the 3rd round.
In the EFL Cup we beat AFC Wimbledon, Bournemouth and Arsenal (!) before losing to Sunderland in the 4th round.
Wow great achievement ! now u can push for much much more

Manager's Thoughts
Very satisfied with this first season. Almost perfect run in the competition, solid run in the cup and at the request of the board the step to being a professional club. Hopefully I will be able to extend the contract of a few more important players and survive or dream of more next year in the special 1b (8 teams) series.

SC Eendracht Aalst - Youth intake - Season 1 (2021/2022)
A striker from Egypte? can't wait. I need players to fill my squad and bench.
Signed them all (16) because i need some squad depth. Happy with overall personalties and some of the special nationalities. Four or five could feature in the first team next season.
Some mixed Nationalities, a few from Africa and two good Italian boys.Best of Class 2022
Jacobs 22-1 is the best prospect, he could be my main MC next season. Lucarelli 22-2 will be retrained as WBR . Urso 22-3 has potential to be a squad DC and he is tall. Ghany 22-10 isn't starting with a lot of CA but he has the best PA. Driven personalty and good determination is a very good thing.

LEAGUE CUP
A good group stage followed by a 2-0 defeat to Breioabik in the semi-final. Still no League Cup for Haukar.
LEAGUE
So this was the most excited I had been for the start of the new season with our little Brazilian winger starting his first full season. Despite my positive mindset, we got under way with a 4-3 defeat at FH. Really dissapointing!! We then hit the ground running and went unbeaten in our next 13, winning 8. A setback at Valur didn't stop things, losing just once more to finally claim the Icelandic Premier Division!!! CHAMPIONS!!!!!
ICELANDIC CUP
Really poor!! We met a none league team (that I can't even type), and went down 3-0 at the first hurdle. I rested the whole team, but we still should of made it through. This may have helped with our league form though, with only that to focus on.
THE PLAYERS
Gylfi Sigurjonsson had an outstanding season. The league winning captain finished with an av. rat of 8.02. His centre back partner Hakon Ingi Leosson also carried on his great form and midfielder Ingolfur Adalsteinsson went up a level with a 7.61 rating. Kristofer Hinriksson finished with 28 goals on 28 appearances and became our record league goalscorer, with 102 goals. Jales made an impact from the right, with 12 in 23 and a 7.30 av rating.
THE YOUTH INTAKE
Following last seasons impressive intake, things carried on, with 5 4* potential players coming through.
Good job, now u can grow in europa

AFC Rushden & Diamonds Season 2030/31 review
Table | Squad | Transfers | Finances
Well, it turns out we are quite good. And frankly, we keep overachieving. So, I think this is down to the fact that the team cohesion is through the roof. I mean, these players have played together for many years now, and I actually think that is more important than ever. At any rate we stormed this season as well and won the league by a mile. Playing in League One doesn't pay very well, now does it? I hope the Championship pays better, because we really need to up the facilities now. Looking forward to how things will turn out next season, because I think that might be the roof of our current squad. We keep losing to Championship teams in the cups, so I doubt I will have much luck next season.
The preview of the intake looked very good once again, and once again the intake was a bit disappointing. I got to stop trusting those previews. The best of the bunch seems to be Albert Fuchs 31a.
In the FA Cup we beat Blackpool, Boston United and Portsmouth before losing to Peterborough in the 4th round.
In the EFL Cup we lost to Bristol Rovers in the 1st round.
In the EFL Trophy we drew Swindon Town, Tottenham u23s and AFC Wimbledon. We finished 2nd and progressed. Then we beat Arsenal u23s, Chelsea u23s, Mansfield and Newcastle u23s to reach the final. There we beat Southend to claim the trophy.
What a great progress ! u are going to finish the challenge with them if u continue like this

In general this would mean that it looked like a promising youngster that was going to make to the youth intake but instead was "poached" by another club and he'll be joining their youth intake instead. You do get 5% though for all transfer fees ever made.
Idd ! but not 100% sure they'll pop up their. U have to check the clauses - transfers page regulary to see if the clause is actived because the player that was poaches, reached the intake.

AFC Rushden & Diamonds Season 2029/30 review
Table | Squad | Transfers | Finances
Umm.... we are very good apparently. I expected us to fight for survival this season, but somehow we just....won. I think my tactic somehow got even better after the update, and we flew through the season having great fun. I'm still conceding way too much, but I just can't make defensively sound tactics apparently. The continued improvements are still paying off and we continue to make improvements both on and off the pitch. I got in another million from some clauses after the big sale we had a few seasons ago, and it helped us stay in the black this season. The youth costs have sky rocketed after we turned professional, but I hope that means we will continue to get in better players going forward. The new stadium should be done after next season, so that's also something to look forward to.
The preview of the intake looked very good this season as well, and the intake was good. Ryan Stocks 30c is a very talented striker.
In the FA Cup we beat Hednesford Town, Blackpool and Sheffield Wednesday before losing to Barnsley in the 4th round.
In the EFL Cup we beat Forest Green and Coventry before losing to QPR in the 3rd round.
In the EFL Trophy we drew Aldershot Town, Swindon Town and Tottenham u23s in the group stage. We won the group and progressed. Then we beat Bournemouth u23s before losing to Brighton u23s in the 3rd round.
Very fast promotion, great job XaW !

Database | Manager | Club info | Club vision | Facilities | Finances | Squad | Squad Calc.
Intro
After an attempt in Gibraltar (bugs prize money and registration players) and almost starting with Croatia Berlin I am back... back in Belgium after a failed attempt at Berchem Sport , I have now opted for the team with the largest following in the lower series, SC Eendracht Aalst. I also expect large expenses for youth setup but hope that this can be compensated by high income spectators. I also expect a lot of special second nationalities and that is a nice extra ( @Cheez3y). Semi Prof, no big competition, good supporters... I am looking forward to it! We start with 19 players for the first season.
History SC Eendracht Aalst
SC Eendracht Aalst, or Eendracht Aalst for short, is a Belgian football club from the East Flanders city of Aalst. The club is affiliated with the KBVB with number 90, and has black and white as club colours.
SpoilerAt the beginning of 2000, Gilbert De Jonghe and Patrick Orlans were the 'bad guys' , because they were heading for a merger with Sporting Lokeren. However, the supporters protested en masse against selling the club's individuality; the match against Sint-Truiden was kicked off in front of empty stands to symbolise how many Aalst fans would come to watch a merged club. The merger plans were put away and De Jonghe and Orlans left the club. Luc Coppens, a loyal sponsor for many years, took over the torch and became the new chairman. The well that Orlans and De Jonghe had created turned out not to fill and despite countless desperate attempts, the club announced bankruptcy at the end of 2001/2002. This meant the end of KSC Eendracht Aalst under the old name. In the 2001/02 competition the club also ended penultimate, but because of the bankruptcy Eendracht had to go to Third Division. They never came back since those days.
Aalst played 16 season in the first division of Belgium. Last time in the firt tier was in 2001/2002. They finished 4th in 1995 and played two UEFA Cup games in 1995 against Levski Sofia and As Roma
SC Eendracht Aalst Facts

Facilities
The Pierre Cornelis Stadium is a football stadium in the Belgian city of Aalst. It has been the home stadium of football club Eendracht Aalst since 1928. The stadium had 7500 seats of which 4000 stand and 3500 seats. Later this was reduced to 4,500 seats. The stadium is situated on the Bredestraat, near the viaduct over the Dender( Dender is the rival club and the name of a river) and in the shadow of the Heilig Hartkerk.

Aalst is located between Brussel, Gent and Antwerp . 87332 people live in Aalst.Key Players
De Neve, Fabris and COpado are my three key players and they are central midfielders so this is my strongest part of the squad. Lentz my main and good GK.
