  1. Are you sure you have downloaded the whole pack 8.26 Gb and not just the last update? Here are the full instructions from the site - https://sortitoutsi.net/graphics/style/1/cut-out-player-faces Which Version Should I Download? If you've never downloaded the pack before you should download the larger "complete pack". If you downloaded the last version then you only need to download the new changes for this version. If you've missed an update pack you can still download it at the bottom of this page, just make sure to unzip the oldest versions first so old versions of files don't overwrite the newer versions. How do I Install It? Once you've downloaded it you'll be presented with a ".zip" file. Extract this file to the following location "My Documents » Sports Interactive » Football Manager » graphics". If the "graphics" folder doesn't exist you can simply create it. If you are asked to overwrite any files it's okay to do so, but if you're downloading packs in multiple parts make sure to unzip the oldest packs first otherwise the old versions will overwrite the new ones. Once you've done this, load up Football Manager and go to "Preferences" and then "Display & Sound". Make sure that you tick the check box on the page called "Always Reload Skin on Confirm" and un-tick then box saying "Use Skin Cache". Hit Confirm. There should be a box that pops up saying "loading image data for the new skin". Once this is done your graphics should be working within the game. If you want you can know go back into "Preferences" and "Display & Sound" and un-tick "Always Reload Skin on Confirm" and re-tick "Use Skin Cache".
  2. On a tangential note, perhaps this all started, in the real world, to shimmy around salary structures and wage caps.
  3. https://community.sigames.com/topic/381231-playing-in-real-life-stadiums/#comment-10493739 From the above thread - ... I'd love to be able to pepper the crowd at Anfield with modded banners and flags that represent the real fan culture. Imagine how vibrant that would be if all the stadiums had their own partisan feel, as created by the modding community, embellished by club-specific crowd chants (not the horrible ones!). Magic! and... ... I already have the FM15 fan banners. I even made a pack for LFC for others to download, and whilst they do a little of what I am getting at, having them replace ad boards is ultimately pretty unrealistic in this day and age. SI have started the ball rolling with flags and banners with just the club name on dotted about the ground, but they are not moddable. I'd like to see a system similar to, but separate from, the ad board,s with thirty or forty flags and hanging banners placed in the crowd or hanging from the upper tiers (where they are in real life) which could then be overwritten with custom made ones that reflect the real fan culture. Add that to editable stadia and sound files and matchday would certainly whip up the hairs on the back of the neck a fair bit more. Of course, in SI's defence, I have no idea how difficult to implement in game. I did suggest it in the appropriate thread a couple of years ago, along with the dynamic ad boards that we now have.

  5. I have to echo the sentiments here and add that I'd love to be able to pepper the crowd at Anfield with modded banners and flags that represent the real fan culture. 6. Sad news indeed. I hope it helps those close to him in some small way to know how respected he was and that they are in our thoughts.
  7. Trying to arrange some friendlies during an Indian training camp but there are no nearby teams to choose from. Choose other takes me to a list of Indian clubs but I can't spot how to actually choose one. Am I stupidly missing something obvious or is there a problem? I have to say that that I am very impressed by the standard of this beta, very few issues. The match engine is smooth and the play produced is both varied and dynamic. Actually seeing low cutbacks into the area from wide positions for pacey mobile forwards to take advantage of rather than asking players to do it but then dying a little inside each time they smash high crosses into the defender five yards away. The UI is slick and responsive but I am getting a few flickers and stutters as the calendar processes. Columns in the squad screens seem a lot less unruly (I'd have paid just for that!) I've not really bonded with my social feed yet but it's early days and I am at least glad it is there to be explored. All in all, so far, take a bow SI.
  8. It does seem a bit of an incomplete addition. I imagine it will be developed further in the next iteration. As a side note, the only other useful thing that leaps to mind about signing staff members who don't need specific attributes is can they increase my club scouting knowledge?
  9. Ha! Me too! Unfortunately it was Laporte in his debut after a 35.5m transfer AND against Suarez who duly netted with a screamer.
  10. I think you are spot on with the Amb/Ev combination. Unfortunately, I have found it is also quite rare. One way I have used to shed a little light on the quality of potential tutors is if you happen to have a professional squad you can scout ambitious players and the reports will give an indication as to whether they will fit in or have to adapt. Thus giving a guide to their professionalism. The same can be done if you have an ambitious squad and then scout professionals.
  11. I certainly hope so. It just occurred to me recently that I haven't ever noticed a personality change other than under human management. It would certainly make for a more dynamic game world if it were to happen under the AI. Has anybody noticed? Any confirmation?
  12. Do player personalities only develop under human managers? Do AI managers use tutoring? Does the new squad personality effect work for AI teams as well?
  13. Well, thanks to strangerthankindness' fantastic work and him basically spoon-feeding me the code to mod his work I made some custom adboards for Anfield in FM15 IMHO mods like this really take the game to another level and add to the atmosphere, suspension of disbelief and game immersion. It would be great if in future FMs we could create custom flags and banners for the crowds/upper tiers (to replace/add to the ones SI have put in with just the club name in a generic font) rather than having to overwrite adboards, as covering them up is generally unrealistic in this day and age. It would also help if the adboards functioned as they do in real life at the top end of the game ie. one (animated? may be difficult?) ad shown across all boards and then rotated for the next one and so on.
  14. I'm wondering about using look for overlap with IFs. Won't that make them hold things up and reduce their ability to provide adequate penetration?
  15. Agreed, a 1000 manual explaining every single little thing in the game is an unreasonable expectation, which is why I make no mention of it. However, a heads up that something we are familiar with now does something different, counter-intuitive, automatic and (at least immediately) irrevocable is entirely reasonable. Agreeing to accept a value-specific offer from a specific club with a player in a one-to one meeting is entirely different to a transfer-listing that player, which is then automatically broadcast to the entire football world. Tool tip is the way to go. By the way, I should have said from the start that this issue is a minor frustration (related to a larger issue about counter-intuitive labels and documentation) in what, as ever, is a wonderfully immersive game. This latest update has produced the most fluid, complex and realistic match engine I have experienced. There has been some seriously great work put in.
  16. Thanks Seb, I imagined that would be the explanation. However, I have to agree with johnhughthom. What on earth is the rationale behind not telling users that the game now does something automatically that it has never done before and that nobody could reasonably want or expect it to do? I had to quit without saving and replay a couple of games (something I don''t like to do) as a consequence.
  17. Hi, I would guess it is because white and blue are the default colours for the Barclays Premier League.
  18. I have just told Emre Can exactly that after Real Madrid came in for him and he was happy with it. Then the game automatically and irrevocably transfer listed him causing a media uproar and a feeding frenzy of predatory clubs. I'm pretty sure that didn't used to happen.
  19. It really is quite easy, just have a look at the link I've posted and follow the instructions. If I can do it anyone can.
  20. Have a good look in here http://community.sigames.com/showthread.php/408495-FM2015-Guide-How-to-Extract-Default-Files-amp-Understanding-File-Structure It takes abit of time to digest it but if you follow the instructions you will have a much better understanding of the skinning process. Worked wonders for me.
  21. Great news, thanks again. I appreciate that you are kind of guessing in the dark a bit, but now I know that there's at least a chance of a decent improvement I think I'll go for it. I'm after a more immersive game world and just wanted at least some assurance that I was targeting the most appropriate upgrade. Much appreciated. EDIT: The trigger has been pulled and it should be here tomorrow morning. Immersion here I come...
  22. Thanks Welshace. My game play experience isn't too bad now to be fair. The upgrade can be had for around the £80-100 mark which is fairly reasonable. I realise it is a very subjective issue as one man's fine is another man's slow. If I were to say that I am happy with how my current processor handles 8-10 playable leagues, is it possible to have a rough guess at how many more I could add to that with the new processor and keep the same-ish game speed? A couple more? Twice as many? Or is that just impossible to quantify?
