The problem I had with this system was with the continental qualifiers. They were done in alphabetical order, for example the teams that qualified were only from group A so I opted for a group system. I'd be happy to see how you can manage that. Could you post the way you will use.

You can try something like this :

I don't understand what you are trying to do. Especially your Mother Competition. But already you are missing the level of your Fourth Division, there are no registered teams and your Mother Competition is a league with minimum 70 teams. Also missing is the Type of your divisions. I think you should first create your entire file in Basic Rules and then convert it to Advanced Rules once you are sure you have what you want.

Another question: If my Top Domestic Division is a Mother Competition where should I use this? In the Child Competition or in the Mother Competition?

Does anyone have any idea how this works? I have looked at different leagues where this is applied but it is not clear to me. If for example: 1) my top domestic league contains several Child Competitions I guess this is where you have to define who will qualify but I have trouble understanding how. 2) I have several secondary divisions and I want them to qualify for the Continental Competitions I think I should use this. My questions are, among others: a) should I only use this option in the Top Domestic League? b) I guess it works according to the number of places allocated to the country in question. What happens if this number changes? c) I don't see where it is defined for which competition the team is qualified (UCL, UEL.)

I don't know but this is what 10 months of work looked like. I had also used extinct competitions which were themselves removed from the DB. At first the IDs were changing and breaking the whole system, so I tried extinct competitions which themselves disappeared after an update. Edit: Sorry if this is off topic you can delete this post if you mind.

This happened to me last year under the Continental Rules where I had built a pro/rel. regional system. All the IDs changed... I would have had to start all over again from scratch

It's weird when I tick this one off everything works for me.

In FM22 I put them in the competition itself and it worked.

Are the amateur leagues missing ?

Yes, there are many advantages. I find it more flexible to build. Also what makes me think it's a good solution for what I want to do is that it allows some teams to stay in the best national competition in their country which I imagine has an influence on their budget as well as on the players they can recruit. I imagine a super league as a major competition with a promotion/relegation system and a second division where all the teams from the first national division that are not in the super league would qualify to fight for promotion. This would avoid having a multi-level pyramid where it would take several years for a team to reach the super league. It would also allow for a normal format for the lower national divisions. It is also easier to control squad registration under the continental rules.
