    Remove the custom graphics, clear the cache and preferences folders and see if the game freezes. One way or the other you can pinpoint if it is the custom graphics or not.

    Yeah, I see the irony in that but with a top team and 10+ scouts out all the time, it is pretty easy to top up the shortlist during a season and I am not uncomfortable with 9-10 players for each position. When I do identify a need, I can usually sort out a replacement from the shortlist, so it does save time in the long run as long as you keep it up to date.

    I clear the shortlist every season and only keep realistic targets, so I have about 120/130 players only

    If the save and the overwrite backup wont load than it looks like a corrupted file, I'm afraid. Do you not have any other backup? I would always suggest that you use the rolling 3 game autosave option and set it to weekly and you will always have a couple of backups if there is any future issue.

    Save issues can always happen for many reasons so always set the saving option to the roiling 3 game autosave and you will always have a couple of saves to go back to if there is another issue. That save may well be lost as once corrupted can very rarely be recovered. Try going into the Games folder in your Documents and there should be a file called last save overwrite backup- select that and see if that loads.

    I think that this approach is reasonable and understandable- starting to negotiate with the player whilst some way down the road of negotiation with the club. Cold negotiations with the player before any transfer negotiations have started is unlikely.

    This feature is not in the game at the moment. It is also a bizarre concept that you would spend time and effort to deal with a player before knowing whether you can reach a deal to buy him. I do wonder how many of these reports are paper talk and how many are fact. The penalties for poaching can be quite high, so I do wonder if this will ever be introduced into the game unless it becomes the norm in the future.

    It is unlikely to be an issue with the game and the fact that the problem starts with a graphics failure would suggest that there is an issue with the graphics card. I would suggest uninstalling the graphics card driver and reinstalling the latest version from the card manufacturer's website. Then go back to a previous save and see if that works. If that doesn't work then it may be a faulty card.

    I suggest that you clear the cache and then set the screen size in preferences and then confirm.

    There is no doubt at all that the player interaction module does require some adjustments, as there have been many instances reported of illogical reactions from players.

    It depends on where he was signed from- if the team that he was playing for is in a league that is not active/playable or your database is not big enough, there is a chance that he will not be able to be signed.

    I have never understood the AI logic in wanting to loan a star player from a lower reputation team- it looks like they want a low cost trial and if it works out then they will pay only a % of the player value. They want it both ways.

    Difficult to tell what the issue is- it could be something in your editing or maybe failing FFP regulations? Stadium or facilities not being up to scratch will not stop a promotion as the game will just put you in another ground whilst yours is upgraded

    Processing times do not appear to have been an issue with this version, so maybe it would be worth having a look at other reasons if your save is running slowly?
