  1. For some reason Paris 4231 DM Nike 23.0 is still the most stable tactic for me. Tried the 4213 and scored at impressive rate especially at home though overall consistency was not as good as 4231. I also prefer DM's over VOL's as lower mentality of midfielders probably gives more balance. Tempted to try Paris 23.1 with one DM and one VOL posted above, might be a good compromise :D

  2. ME23.0 PARIS 4231 DM NIKE P104 FA Manaus brazilian Serie A (predicted 3rd)

Second consecutive title but first really dominating season finally surpassing 100 points and 100 goals scored. Started the season with 424 but inconsistent results in cups and at the start of the league made me switch back to 4231 and things improved instantly and dramatically, including an elite season for star striker Beherensdorf

86 goals overall including 32 in 32 Serie A matches without taking penalties. Could have easily topped 100 goals with penalties (we took about 40 penalties overall!) or just playing more matches in the weak Amazonense. Very consistent scoring form in Serie A, with maybe a hat trick and a couple of braces but mostly a single goal every game. Of course the rare scoreless game with missed chances and low ratings usually cost me the win including the Copa Libertadores final against Flamengo...

Strong performances all over the squad, with STC and AMC being the highlight of the team (DM's with 20+ goals mostly scored via penalties). I think at this point the quality of my team should be able to handle most formations though the 'old' 4231 did MUCH better than 424. Next season I'll try the 4213 which really suits my squad and especially my group of young strikers coming back from loans, worst case I'll switch back to 4231 :D

  3. As often reported for many other tactics even the 424 is working well at home but seems quite inconsistent away. After a rough patch I've switched back to PARIS 4231(ME 23.0 with IF's and Nike defence) and looks more stable both home and away, I think AMC helps controlling the game on current ME and I agree FM 23 is pretty much built around 4231 DM formation so probably worth tweaking the 4231 which is unfortunate as my team is loaded with promising young strikers :D

  4. ... and that is why I never update in the middle of a season :D

HGF 4231 N DM NIKE P107 EC with Manaus in Brazilian Serie A (pre-patch!)

Finally managed to end Flamengo domination in a treble winning season as we defeated them in all three competitions (league, cup, Libertadores) relying on a very young team

Some great attacking football and all the AMC's thrived in the narrow formation while strikers were slightly disappointing compared to previous seasons (top striker Behrensdorf still managed a decent 19 Serie A goals). I have some very promising strikers developing so ideally will switch to a 442 next season - if the new update agrees :D

I don't know much about the data editor but I'm so glad someone is doing this. In previous FMs i've tried to do a Wellington Phoenix/NZ save with NZ in AFC where I just try to advance NZ football as far as possible. I've always just used other posts online, but they have never had the nix reserves fully intergrated with the nix first team. So I wouldn't be able to move players between the reserves and first team. Will this be possible in this version?

Great work btw, hopefully sega can officially add the system in the coming years, sorry I can't be much help.

@limonezz and @ratio1618 made a wonderful NZ file last year recreating the whole structure and every tiny detail (including WP reserves). Hopefully they'll update for FM 23 at some point. OP doing a great job this year!

  6. PARIS 4231 DM NIKE P104 FA second season with Manaus (Brazilian Serie A, predicted 15th)

Lost the title on last matchday drawing at home against Sao Paulo. We had same points as Flamengo and better GD but they had more wins which apparently assigned them the title. Flamengo kind of ruined our season as they also beat us in both Libertadores and Brazilian cup finals. We beat them in Super Cup though :D.

    200422118_ManausFutebolClube_Overview-3.thumb.png.4f5ebf7fbfeb6bf81a53dda9da487483.png

The team vastly overachieved once again and performed at similar level of last season with HGF 4231 though the DM's seemed to add more stability esp away (only three losses in the league). We had more points, more goals scored and less goals allowed than last season though still not enough to beat Flamengo :D. Club legend Paulo Vyctor (a serie B caliber striker at best) failed to reach the 100 goals mark for the first time due to more rotation in the weak Amazonense, but still managed 88 goals including 33 in 37 serie A matches. Next season I'm planning to try narrow Paris 4231 (my favorite formation) and sadly replace P.Vyctor as first choice striker.

Fun fact: regen full back Eriksson Ottesen is chilean and has no apparent ties (place of birth, second nationality, languages spoken) with Sweden, Iceland or any other nordic country

  7. Very often referees seem to have awful ratings in matches involving my team (not necessarily harming my team)  like 4 or 5 (sometimes 3...) while they generally tend to have decent ratings in other matches (I can tell by checking referee's profile). Wonder if other people have experienced the same or maybe it's related to the tactics I use (usually intense pressing + tackle hard often resulting in above average number of cards for both my team and my opponents)?

  8. HGF 4231 Attack P101 ALL CUPS

Manaus newly promoted in Brazilian Serie A (predicted 19th)

    133105249_CampeonatoBrasileiroAssaSrieA_Stages.thumb.png.1807ab5463cb736f4584fa0acfadc53e.png

Maybe the first time I've missed the title as a newly promoted club in Brazil :D. Very unlucky to find a superb Flamengo side in their very best season (83 points would have won the league in last two Serie A seasons) though we managed to win Brazilian Cup (avoiding Flamengo in the tournament). Attacking felt much more stable than VA especially away and 37 goals allowed are a great result considering the quality of my defenders. 97 goals scored also best offence in the league despite missing the 100 goals mark :D. Paulo Vyctor watch:

    342496863_PauloVyctor_Profile-2.thumb.png.73086474af77758d44d6e7789c40d763.png

Phew! Managed to reach 100 goals in the last game of the season to keep the legend alive. Once again numbers are inflated by the weak Amazonense though 37 goals in 35 Serie A matches are a great result. I just miss the VA numbers :D.

    1454077826_ManausFutebolClube_Overview-2.thumb.png.59f2c876592b5ecc7178128f50ac4f4b.png

AMC/STC connection still the highlight of the team (for a realistic stats of goal scored in Serie A i.e. without Amazonense boost think those numbers divided by three). Surprised by relatively low numbers of goals from corners and from crosses. Assists by CWB's were more long/killer balls than crosses, which seem to be less OP for the fist time in years. All in all another massively overachieving season with a very effective tactic. I do miss VA though I don't think the quality of my team can handle that at Serie A level. Next season I'll try PARIS attacking 4231 DM, should be similar and I actually prefer using DM's (we have lots of natural DM's).  Long term goal is always VA 4231 DM :D

    @kandersson

VA Tactics are not working as we with MC compared to last year. I also tend to make the normal tactics and then try VA, so maybe too early in process

VA worked very well for me at home though away felt a bit hit or miss and generally less dominating than VA in FM22. I'll try Attacking next season, would you suggest changing mentality on the same 4231 DM or should I use the already tested HGF 4231 Attack P101 ALL CUPS?

  10. HGF 4231 DM VA P101 FA CC with newly promoted Manaus in Brazilian second division (predicted 15th):

    1950805395_BrasileiroSportingBetSrieB_Stages.thumb.png.a8481a9e5ae24b0f00b2aa9f79212fe6.png

Bossed the league with amazing home form and tons of goals scored, the few losses were all away and surprisingly heavy (including a 0-6 in brazilian cup against Serie A winner Flamengo) though all in all it was another dominating and overachieving season. The return of Paulo Vyctor :D

    1235331233_PauloVyctor_Profile.thumb.png.1da94053914918211d77f3f7b5ad4a86.png

135 goals in 57 apps! Don't mind the 70 goals in the weak Amazonense, 56 goals in Serie B were the real deal.

    312624155_ManausFutebolClube_Overview.thumb.png.d21883f83d318e3eced0f9300d764362.png

The old Paulo & Diego connection! Stats are obviously inflated by the Amazonense league but are impressive nonetheless. Very Attacking might not be the wisest mentality for away matches especially against bigger sides in Serie A so will probably switch to something less extreme next season.

@knapyou think Attacking mentality is more effective than VA this year? I'd like to stick to a 4231 as I feel AMC and IF's are much better than in FM22.
