  1. This is why i rather have official in depth videos showing of this stuff instead of content creators. Beta would probably be out by Friday and they only released 1 video about the game and none of it was gameplay lol
  2. I literally got bombard with the same type of video from numerous FM channels…Is this SI’s way of marketing the game? SMH.
  3. I don't start my long-term save until the final patch (when most databases are complete). That save will last me all spring and summer leading up to the fall release. Beta Save - MLS Release - My usual MAN U save First Patch - Either MLS or Lower League (Depending if MLS has fixes) Last patch - Long-term save with maxed database
  4. I'm not talking about directly affecting match outcomes. For example, there doesn't seem to be any benefit or downside to having a good/bad relationship with a journalist. The board itself doesn't seem to care about how you handle the press. Making your squad complacent or fired up because of comments made in the media doesn't seem prevalent. With the newly added supporters, I would guess fans don't care about what was said in the press, either. It appears that press conferences were added to the game to build relationships or a rivalry with other managers, which is outdated in its mechanics. Sure there are morale hits when choosing specific answers, but the problem is there is no risk/reward. There is no risking a player's morale to gain fans' support by calling out an underperforming player (In some cases and depending on personality, this should fire a player up!). Currently, it is either a right or wrong answer; with that concept, we will choose the correct answer every time.
  5. Like it or not, handling media is influencing human behavior. Humans are emotional creatures. The problem with it in FM is there doesn’t seem to be any risk/reward factor to keep players engaged.
  6. I’m here because I want a simulation. Otherwise I would play fifa and just play CPU vs CPU like I did prior to finding text sims. I find joy in loading up every league building a large world and interacting in it. If the game with from match to match, I would personally get bored quickly especially with its current graphics.
  7. I personally would have preferred a proper stadium for lower league teams…
  8. I agree, his point may have been valid 5 years ago, but just like how everyone still preferred 2D during that time, times change and you have to keep up with the technology. not to mention that a blog post was about graphics so trying to dismiss graphics in that tweet is kind of pointless.
  9. I guess the proper question is when did they become aware because its been terrible for a long time.
  10. I remember when that was a feature and it didn't get fixed fully until the next version.
  11. Not to mention there are other football/soccer manager games available, one which has better graphics and is free but doesn’t have support even though disgruntled fans claim there isn’t any competition…
  12. Obviously I don’t know the numbers on how many people are playing on toasters but I’m positive that most are playing on recommended specs and not the minimum. I think we might be over-exaggerating about the quality of some of these computers FM users are playing on. People make it seem like they are playing on windows 98 lol.
  13. Tbh, I would have been fine if the “dev diary” was simply that 45 minute video split into multiple videos leading up to the beta release. That video was weeks ago and it’s been nothing but dead air…
  14. when are we getting more information? I’m assuming the beta is less than 2 weeks away? It’s one thing to have headline features that aren’t that exciting but not having any build up to release is just terrible.
  15. People would be fine with Soccer Manager 2022 graphics which is a free game on steam.
  16. Exactly, people want a stadium editor because stadiums haven’t been touched and they all look the same. There isn’t even any lower league stadiums who only have standing sections.
  17. Idk, my gripe with interviews and press is that it’s just selecting the right answer. It shouldn’t work like that and this is why other players get bored with doing them. Relationships effects with press should be more obvious. Bad relationship should lead to bad press and twisted words. press and interviews should be a tug of war between building relationships, satisfying players, satisfying the board and satisfying supporters. There should be no right or wrong answers! Building a relationship with a journalist may look like answering a question that may otherwise **** off the board or a player.
  18. Yea, I find it hard to believe that someone would essential want a remastered version on FM22 considering the problems FM22 had...
  19. To play devils advocate, even though I personally love all of the details in the game that you ignore, I often called them fluff because they really didn’t matter when it came down to it and that’s largely because it was so easy to overachieve in the game. Not sure if you were the type of player that created a tactic that always push forward and press but I think the game might be less forgiven this year with the defensive and AI changes where you may need to look into Data hub to make tweaks to squeeze out a for more wins. While your not overachieving, the board may be on your back more.
  20. There seems to be a consensus that the top 3-4 features that are wanted are: Set piece creator Better graphics Stadium Editor Enhancements to International football. These seem to be the most talked about everywhere online.
  21. I agree, most of the headline features in the last few years have been revamps and enhancements to things that’s been already in the game. No way should AI manager enhancements or the ability to play defense should be a headline feature. Although, I appreciate the tweaks as one of the very vocal people in the “this game is easy” thread.
  22. No matter what people think about those features in the game, they are an integral part of the user experience. Additionally, these additions are absent from international management, making managing international teams appear very outdated. It is likely that the users who think nothing can be added to International Management are also users who do not care for these types of features.
