  1. So, he doesn't want to join AIK due to the rivalry that exists with the very same AIK...got it!
  2. Thanks for your feedback mate, much appreciated. Quite a battle you're in there with Portimonense but that's the kind of competitive challenge we all like to engage in. Evra seems to be doing a bit of a hokey-cokey. What would you do if he was to exit the club?
  3. Interesting to hear how it's been for you, thanks for your feedback. More importantly, you're staying very strong there and it looks like little or nothing will stop you making a return to the top flight. Keep up the good work mate!
  4. Really great to see the fans takeover, I don't think I ever saw that at a club I managed in FM.
  5. Agreed, fantastic attention to detail and can really feel how immersed you are in this. I really love the graphical efforts too.
  6. Congrats on the promotions and for the signing of Dele Alli! Hoping your Kenyan striker continues to score goals for you.
  7. Fantastic progress there, very pleased to see the defensive improvements especially. My limited game time on this version has not been so much fun - not the results particularly, but the sheer volume of goals. You've shown that it can be done in a more structured manner, which gives small hope for the future. You seem to have made some smart signings, and I hope that you can keep this run of form going!
  8. There is a 14 minute long video (made by Juventus) but not in English, so the written article below gives you some basics. https://football-italia.net/video-juventus-tell-story-of-paralysed-next-gen-player-who-fought-back-to-full-fitness/
  9. Unlucky to fall just short, but hoping you can take the small extra steps next year. Nice to see the name Daouda Peeters there, he's had a tough few years (interesting story) but I hope he can go on to have the decent career his talent was predicted to deliver. If that can be under your management, it would be very pleasing.
  10. Those sort of things never used to count against committed spending, but possibly it might be the case on FM24. I have every confidence in you to meet this challenge and will be watching
  11. Nice story, great reasons for picking the club. It's been quite a few years since I last managed AFC Wimbledon (did about three versions consecutively) and wish you good luck with this.
  12. Great thread title and header graphic. Quite a task you set yourself there! Ironically this was a club I set myself up to manage last night as potentially my first proper job on FM24. There are only a small number of EFL teams I never tried,, this being one of them. The squad is not too bad to start with it seems. I genuinely have no such ambitions to achieve those heights, and would probably only do a year or two if I press continue. Wish you the best of luck anyway.
  13. Good luck with this. Hungary has the most ridiculously lax foreign player rules which means you can pick your players from far and wide. But on a 'building a nation' level if you're trying to be mainly home-grown, it's ironic that you'll be trying to succeed whilst working in virtually the opposite way of most Hungarian clubs. There are a few decent players that might help you along but it won't be easy if you're aiming to do it with locals.
  14. Tough window there mate. There are some other countries that I think have a similar issue with the young players being prevented from playing in other teams of the club. I cannot really see how that helps their development. That's quite a big variance on committed wages, given that you are in July it doesn't seem likely that it is allocated for returning loan players, so not sure on that. Assume it's not relating to players you have/had lined up to join. So you have 21 registered and/or available players now?
  15. Thank you, nice to see some familiar faces around these parts. I played a few months on the early access with Southampton, then had visitors over from UK. I've not played a single match in the last two weeks but might give it another go soon. I've got some ideas of clubs at various levels in England, and some from around Europe. I'm a bit concerned about some issues I've heard - mainly player unhappiness, interactions & morale and about lots of high-scoring games. I'm more a lover of tight low-scoring affairs where you have to work hard to convert more than a couple of chances and where you can defend resolutely and keep goals out and clean-sheets. I have no idea if this has been exaggerated or not, but those aspects would be quite disappointing if true. The team I wanted (want) to manage the most this year in England didn't have particularly accurate data and is doing rubbish in real life - both factors didn't really inspire me too much so far. How are you finding this version and do you think your experiences are similar to those who started new on FM24 instead of carrying a save over? What I saw in the early access was that the ME looked to be quite good, hopefully that is the case. Sorry to take your thread off topic!
  16. I thought it was about time I checked up on you
  17. Congratulations on the promotion. That was a scare after you thought it was already done & dusted, but class came through to save the day
  18. Good to see you still going strong on your carried over career. Best of luck, certainly in a good position, and hopefully Evra will stay for you.
  19. I like Palace and think they're one of the best EPL picks for this version of FM. Good progression so far, and agree a massive coup to land Endrick at a great age. A very strong squad assembled now,
  20. Nice journey and story so far. You've done a good job taking them to this stage and surely you will get even stronger in time. Poland seems to be popular in FM24 on the FMCU forum, as there are a few stories from there. In fact, it's a country I only briefly dabbled in before and might make a good change from the countries I normally go to in Europe.
  21. Nice intro, and similar philosophies to how I play FM too. A good choice of club and country, I've always enjoyed Denmark and also agree the calendar makes it an easy fit. After the start you made, wishing you good luck is a bit weak. But I wish you a happy career there.
  22. Great intro(s) and I like the selection of the country and club. Best of luck
  23. Thanks for your replies and views guys, good to hear nothing major is affecting you. Looking forward to another enjoyable year of cheap fun with FM24
  24. After being away for a week from the day the early access launched, I will now be having family visitors here for a week on the day of the full launch I hear there are quite a few 'beta bugs' so I'm not sure that my test save will continue beyond the weekend. I didn't have the best start when even my manager profile pic on the club page was a silhouette, despite the full face/body/attire showing on the opening of the game. But I uploaded a saved pic to at least have a face in the game... Despite this, the game seems to promise some very good improvements over FM23 and it has great potential this year. I finally picked a side to test the new stuff on, and if it continues I will turn it in to a career update. I also made some fresh kits to welcome the fictional son of Lawrie McMenemy to Southampton. How are all you guys finding FM24 so far?
