  1. I'll try that, see how it goes. Thank you. yeah, the scrollbar is from the zoom I play on.. 150%
  2. This is the code . I've identified the container that holds the widgets for a week of training : it's the class="main_box_no_margin" one. Problem is that as the whole is constructed I cannot change a single dimension for any widget or container. Except for the training popup ( that height="600" ). A lot of convoluted stuff.
  3. @snowofman Thank you so much. You are truly great, helping everyone around the skinning forum. I will look into these files, and see where it leads. Will post the results.
  4. Hi, I am trying to edit this news panel that drives me crazy because of the scrollbar , but I cannot identify it - and subsequently I cannot find the panel that shows the training weeks. So, if anyone has an idea what is the news panel, or how to edit the training weeks panel to fit the page.. it will greatly appreciated.
  5. This ! 1000 times this ! They have a warning on Clear Cache, but not a warning on Restore Defaults ! I've talked about this before. It's horrible and it's killing us skinners considering the amount of blind trials and errors we have to do - and we have to clear cache 99% of the time.
  6. I think this is a false problem, perpetuated year after year for so long so it has become some kind of ( monster ) fallacy. There is an entire debate on the "FM23 headlines features revealed" topic and I would not repeat here everything from there. I will state only this, again : Improved match graphics will ONLY affect the representation of an already decided / computed match. A re-computation of the match outcome based on changes during the match is on the CPU not on the GPU. There is always a 2D match option. There are always Graphics Options to tune down resolution, texture quality, shadows, etc. There will be a breaking point regarding video libraries, directX etc.. but the OS will catch up with you before an old graphic card will run out of supported graphic libraries. Look now at the Mac users, for FM23 they NEED a specific OS ( i.e. OS 11 ). I think we should stop this trend that points towards the " low end PCs users " as the scape goat for not improving graphics year after year. And obviously if yo don't really care about graphics, others do. You can disregard them even they are improved to a decent level, let's say FM17 level.
  7. Football Manager 2023 2022-10-22 23-31-05_Trim_Trim.mp4 As the title says, watch Dundee United Central Defender ( Nr. 30 ) Match file uploaded to cloud : Dundee v Man UFC running away.pkm
  8. Football Manager 2023 2022-10-22 23-31-05_Trim_Trim.mp4 That CB is running for his life.. away from the ball.
  9. Thank you! We keep hearing these excuses for some time now.. when it just doesn't hold water. If it's "legacy code" involved to get some decent scale on that houses, trees and a static image on panel - and if no one wants to touch it then God helps us all. But it's not. These are just excuses offered around here by people associated with SI and had become some kind of ground truth. Another excuse is that " low-end PC users" hold back the graphics development. I don't think I've seen an official response about the awful trees and upscaled buildings that are beyond hilarious after 5 years. So forbidden legacy code and not disturbing the peacefull AI are kind of superfluous excuses.
  10. Unfortunately this is not helpful for us in any meaningful way. If there is no feedback in any form, if there is no time-line presented for fixing issues that are raised for years - then the general feeling will be of talking to a wall : set pieces, 3D graphics regression, international management, AI squad building, AI tactics, transfers, scouting issues, dynamic youth etc. We are talking about this for years, as you said - and all we get back is a generic response from a moderator. For now this is the general situation: you know we are complaining, we know you know and that's it.
  11. Very well said. Parading small features and meaningless add-ons while ignoring stringent, meaningful issues raised year after year by the community, will only bring frustration and will harden the feeling of disconnect between the company and the fans. The road map for this product is completely unknown to us.. we are not entitled to know it, but it will help us and them to know it. Maybe be a part of it.
  12. It looks like this year will be an FM22 v2.0 - and don't get me wrong, I think FM22 was a very solid and enjoyable release! My interest will be related to the announced headline match/ tactical AI improvements. Squad Planner will be a useful feature I think if it's interconnected with scouting. For the gameplay upgrades : Data Hub was expected to be further developed and it's becoming a very nice tool for those who are deep into stats. I'm trying to guess how the pre-match briefings will look like as there is no picture available yet.. so maybe this will be an interesting change - or not. If I had .01% hope for a Set Pieces revamp.. I've just lost it. It is what it is.
  13. I do understand that it's tough to swallow when someone is very very critical with your work or your plans, but also there are a lot of people complementing their work. I said it also.. and I hope some devs read it when I did - this game ( their work ) pulled me out from the darkness that loomed over me- depression and mental health issues hit me hard in the last couple of years. I do understand that they don't want to make promises but also.. you know, maybe they can take a chance with it, because at the end of day there will be only 10 -15,20 people complaining hard for a hypothetical postponement. How many people are active on the forums ? How many of them will be extremely critical ? It will be tolerable , I think.
  14. As one who had a minor (?) disagreement with @themadsheep2001 some days ago that ended with 2 of my comments removed - I do think we can get carried away with some arguments and sometimes there is more sarcasm and bitterness than it should be, but I've never seen abuse on this forums. Probably is removed pretty quickly. There is a lack of dev love in the skinning forums also. We are still poking our eyes in the dark with the skins - not knowing most of the time how to do things, always trying - always guessing. There are the mods, there are some experienced users there and that's it. What I do feel is a form of ..general disregard. It feels that our suggestions, pleads and cries ( when suggestions are ignored for years) are ignored because there is no real feedback. For example, we do not know why there is no upgrade for Set Piece Creator for years, and we don't know if it' will be in the dev pipeline sometime. Because there is no communication really. We have no idea what's taking into account from the suggestion forum - for real.
  15. Exactly. FM is blessed from this point of view vs other types of video games - as the computation can and IS MADE prior to graphical representation. Whatever graphical representation would that be -2D, 3D high / medium / low quality. This alone should stop the idea that "low-end PCs" are stopping the improvements of graphics. If graphic cards from 2008 can run the visual representation for FM23 ( per recommended specs ) then maybe this graphical representation should be the " lower settings " going forward and improve. But there should be a will , and there would be costs..
  16. I've started to talk on the other thread because I was annoyed of the same old mantra that we keep hearing every year with "low-end PCs hold us down". You guys said what it is to say .. the business controls the drive forward. No competition, no drive for significant improvements. What I am really looking for is an hones approach from the company in order to stop this blame shift towards the gamers. I would like to hear a decent discussion with the community: Guys an graphics overhaul will cost X amount of money - we cannot invest it or we want to invest in this, or we are planning to save money to do it in 2027. Our current dev plan is A,B,C .. generics. Maybe will happen, maybe not. What do you really need now? And the community could say : maybe we can squeeze something in your next release - like set pieces, or stadium builder. I don't know. And the community will understand if you they will say graphics in 2028, or we are trying but we don't have money. But I just can't hear this " lower end PCs " gamers hold the game back. It's ugly and insulting.
  17. Actually my biggest pet peeve are set pieces . I'm just annoyed a little about the graphics discussion .. I can ignore the graphics usually.
  18. I know man, I'm not trying to start an quarrel or something.. I'm just sad we keep hearing this thing on and on "we cannot improve graphics because of lower end PCs" when it's not fair. It feels like we're been taking for fools.
  19. Please explain this : You have to understand that this product is the sum of all parts. It's ok to say one year.. "Yeah, you see we've changed engines to Unity and you know .. we kind of figuring stuff out, sorry! Next time will be better ". It's ok to say another " Look - we have major improvements to AI". Great. nice. Should be like that. But man, we cannot ignore things forever. Every year we pay a full price. We can't say.. " you know , another year without set pieces revamp, I'm paying 10euros less". But this is the 6 release from FM17 and there is nothing and we start to get used to it! And this is really bad! - here have this dynamic manager timeline, instead - please enjoy it. We've hired artists. Please stop. That damn goal net is acting like the poltergeist. The trees are from popup books made by children with one green pencil and a colored paper. The stadiums are the same everywhere around the world. Everywhere. I'm not mad about the reality of graphics because I understand it's money and they are a business. I'm sad because we could have a better game, but money talks. I'm just sad that some people including yourself are still pushing this idea of consumer protection, lower end PCs drag us down and all this jazz every year; and you keep defending SI in an issue where they cannot be defended. That's it.
  20. I think you didn't understand my point. I have no issue with the game supporting toasters / potatoes as recommended hardware. My issue is that every year we hear the same mantra of " We cannot improve graphics because of lower-end PCs" and people are still buying this argument when it's obviously not true. If these toasters could run FM17 back in the day then the same toasters would run a decent improved FM2X. Because right now FM18 to FM22 and FM23 are behind FM17 regarding graphics. And again honestly, realistically .. who's crawling slowly to death with a Intel Core 2 playing FM ? NO one. So we are not talking about these kind of toasters. We are talking about toasters from last 7-10 years. If they can run FM22 right now, why can't these toaster run a game with improved graphics engine , with lower settings ? lower setting to the level of the beautiful graphics of FM22 with trees made of 8 pixels. This argument of lower-end PCs when we talk about graphics has to stop man. It's not the stopper. It's insulting. You can talk about this in regards of processing, AI everything else but the graphics. They have to invest money for art, animation, design etc. and they do not want that. That's the stopper. And please, please .. your PC is heating up your room because of the 180k players in 55 Countries that you've loaded that burn through your i5. This has nothing to do with ME graphics.
