After finishing 14th in our 1st season under Orr in the Championship, we managed to raise enough funds and topped them up with a loan to help fund the new expansion of Abbey Road with 3402 seats, this won't be complete until the 12th of Dec and by then we should have a capacity of just under 14,000.

With no players in yet and no striker at the club who’s got the ability hit double figures, this season will be tougher than last.

Chris Thackeray has been rumored with us again with a fee of 750k-1m; if that’s the case we'll be blowing our budget for the season on 1 player.

only players we can confirm that might be coming are Anderson, Ask and Romero on loan from York, as therein the middle of on going talks with York.

and of course there was the rumours that Orr was in talks with Falkirk over a move to the SPL club, but they fell thru when Alex mcLeish was appointed manager. so is Orr on the verge of quitting the club after 15 years.

well whatever happens this season its sure to be a tough one lets hope we finish it still a Championship club at least.

after two seasons as the u21 manager of the current European champions Northern Ireland, I began to get itchy feet. So when the job offer of Switzerland came up i took it with both hands, ok being overlooked by my home nation was a low point in my career, but in return its spured me on to prove all at the SFA they have the wrong man in charge, and surely my 6-1 trashing of England set alarm bells ringing in Glasgow.

one question I've been asked is will you be happy to knock out Scotland if given the chance? and my answer has and always will be while am the Swiss manager, yes without a care in the world.

What a season!

Well what great but very long season it has been for Arsenal under there new manager Prescott as they made it to the final in all the 3 cups and finishing in 2nd place in the premiership.

The only dissapointing thing about the season though is that despite finishing in 2nd place they were never really in the title hunt as they were always playing catch up due to games being re-arranged as there cup success meant the club played 71 games in total last season but they did manage to win 2 cups.

The first trophy to be won under Prescott for the gunners was the league cup in a 3-1 victory over reigning premier league champions Manchester city at wembley in what was a great cup run as they knocked out a host of big teams including Man Utd, Liverpool and Sunderland. Prescott was said to be happy to win this trophy again as it was the first ever trophy he won in his career when he was Stevenage manager and it brought back great memories but he wasnt going to be satisfied with just this cup.

Well he diddnt have to wait long to get another chance to pick up more silverware as 3 months later Arsenal would be travelling to Dortmund to be playing in the Uefa Cup final for the first time in 21 years and it would be against Precotts old Side which he left last sumer Celitc. Arsenal made it to the final rather easily it has to be said as they crushed just about every team they played including Auxerre, West Ham and Dortmund and on there way creating a record number of team goals in a season for the uefa cup which now stands at 44 goals.

Arsenal were touted as most peoples favourites for the game as they were on the back of a 6 game winning run and hadnt let a goal in those 6 games as well. But Prescott made sure his players were really fired up as he had unfinished business with the uefa cup as he still had the memories of Stevenages 1-2 defeat to sampdoria in the final from 4 years ago in the back of his mind so he was determind not to let it hapend again.

The match itself was really tight but Arsenal were in control but they just couldnt find a breakthrough, that was until the 74th minute when Arsenal Legend Cesc Fabregas fired into the empty net to give the gunners the lead but this was short lived as 2 minutes later Celtic levelled. This was the way it stayed up until full time, so that meant extra time and 30 more minutes.

Arsenal got off to a quick start and scored 2 quick goals in the first 5 minutes and to make it better it was Abou Liri grabbing both the man wo Prescott had taken with him from celtic tO Arsenal and that wrapped the game up and gave Arsenal onlly there 4th ever European trophy but Arsenal couldnt celebrate to hard as they had an FA Cup final with chelsea to thinkk about 3 days later.

It looked as if Arsenal would get a treble of all the cups as Abou Liri gave them the lead but one of Prescotts old players from his Stevenage days who a certain Rob Knott said wouldnt be good enough for the confernece equalised for chelsea with 3 minutes left to go to put another final into extra time. In the end the massive amount of 71 games caught up with Arsenal as they couldnt find a winner and Arnaud Poujol gave Chelsea a 2-1 win with 2 minutes to go until penalties.

But with the squad strengthened again this season Arsenal should have a better chance of challenging for the title and hopefully doing well in their return to the champions league, and now that Prescott has stepped down from the Spain and also rejecting offers from england and czech republic he is ready to concentrate fully on the club and help drive them to even more success.

Wasn't me who gave up it was the rest of them. Think I am just saving my talents for FM08.

I think stabwest should take a lot of the credit as he was the U'21 manager and discovered some real gems to put into your team so it was really him who won you the European Championships. icon_wink.gif

Welling.PNG

Welling United,

The club of history and future

And we see it also in the results

2018/2019 we ended on the 1th place in Conference South

2019/2020 we ended on the 9th place in Conference National

2020/2021 we ended on the 1th place in Conference National

2021/2022 we ended on the 12 place in League Two

And the team who won Conference South is almost the same in League Two.

The Balance is 2 million euro

The Transferbudget is normally 87k euro

Now our best striker in the history (Peter Spink) is gone to Cambridge United (Davie Orr) we need to hang on and search for new striker but that is not easy.

We hope we find a good new striker fast and go promote again and again. So we can follow the line we are now.

So that is the newest of the newest Welling United news

This is made by Roy Peeters

Margate Herald

Manager Robert Knott told the margate herald this week that he hopes to gain promotion to league 1 after keeping the same squad together that ended last season.

He said that he hopes his team can keep picking up maxium points towards the end of the season and he did say thet he didnt mind wot spot they have to clinch to get up whether it be 1st 2nd or 3rd. He stated he did not want this players to slack and fall into the Play off places.

Talking on the players front he said a few loan players will be goin back to arsenal football club with certain players in the squad unhappy knott said he wants to give the players he currently pays a chance to show him wot they can do. A small squad is what i want i dont want any unhappy players. I will be letting a few go in Jan and am not looking to strengthen i feel we have enough depth. After promotion last season im glad to announce the Expansion work on training and youth facilitys has been completed and this will really start to show soon witht he players gaining better training. The financial side is very tight at the moment with a large wage bill but am sure after January this will be controlled and back to a suitable level.

Many Thanks R.Knott

European Champions!!!!!!

Well its been another successful season for the Gunners as they won the Champions League for only the 2nd time in the clubs history and also winning the European super cup for the first time ever.

Arsenal picked up their 2nd Euoropean trophy under Prescott when they met Barcelona in the super cup in monaco. The match itself was ruined by numerous international call ups to both sides left the teams fielding youth players but Arsenal over came the favourites and ended up 2-0 winners but the best was yet to come.

Arsenal went into the final at the De Kuip stadium in Rotterdam trying to put out the memrories of a 2nd straight Fa Cup final defeat this time on penalties and also the last day dissapoint of not being able to steal the title away from Man Utd but if they could manage to win this it none of that would matter.

Arsenals route to the final was an easy one as they scored 28 goals with only 2 against and putting impressive performances like the 3-0 win against Bayern Munich and the 6-0 win over Lille.

Inter werent as impressive on their way to the final but they knocked out top teams like Man Utd and Real Madrid so they would definetley be a danger.

Arsenal dominated the early stages of the game and were deservedley in fron when Jan Erik Lyse converted a rebound after Rubio had hit the post.

So it was Arsenal 1-0 Inter after with 13 minutes gone.

Arsenal continued to dominate with Rubio and Lyse in impressive form up front but couldnt finish any of the numerous chances that they had.

Things looked to be turning against Arsenal on the 38th minute as Mohamed Schmidt picked up a 2nd yellow card which left the Gunners with 10 men for nearly an hour but it stayed 1-0 up intil half time.

Arsenal came out fired up in the 2nd half and added a second goal thanks to Luis Enrique Rubio who was now the lone striker.

So it 2-0 with 43 minutes to go could they hang on with 10 men?

Inter finally got a their first shot on targte in the 69th minute and it was a goal for Giuseppe Buni from a corner.

It looked now like it would be a tense finish and that Inter would push forward but this was not the case as Arsenal continued to be the dominant force and even had a late Rubio goal rule out for offside but this did not matter as they held out and became the European Chmapions for only the 2nd time.

The Arsenal manager had this to say after the game:

This is the greatest day of my life to be able to win the Champions league with the club i have supported all my life it's a dream come true and the only thing that will top it will be winning the treble which is my aim for next season.

SECOND BOTTOM OF SPL!!

Well the season was more up and down than davies underpants at a local park, but alas I never got the sack, no major achievements with the Arabs this season, the players looked out of shape and a few looked like this league was beyond them last years star buy Grabejs continues to underperform as he awaits his big superstar move to come, but with his form, he wont get it at all.

Lima another solid signing from St.Mirren is also now bubbling at the loss of edinsen (who wanted to talk to everton, so i let him) still is not happy even though I brought in the rock solid Parker who seems second to none in the air. Lima will also be making sure the door does not hit hit ass on the way out after this years World Cup.

Next season, United go back to thier roots, I have lined up a host of Top young scottish players with my contacts in the SFA. This club is scottish and will be filled with mostly Scottish players who have the fight to get this club in the top 6.

Mind you in my 2 seasons with Dundee Utd I have taken them into the Uefa cup both times and as the fans look forward to more fun in Europe, I aim to spend big and get some quality players into the club.

Now the Scotland front!!!

"WERE ON THE MARCH WI SIMONS ARMY, WERE GOING TO THE ITALEEES AND WE'LL REALL SHAKE EM UP WHEN WE WIN THE WORLD CUP COS SCOTLAND ARE THE GREATEST FOOTBALL TEAM!"

were ging to Italy for the world cup, in Italys group along with costa rica who always scare us scots and columbia who keep giving briefcases full of things.

The team are ready, Im ready so are YOU ready to cheer on Simons Army to the world cup??

More news to come!

After the season started off so well where i was in the top 8 for about 10 games and then the dip happened where we`d lose about 3-5 games then win 1 and so it continued till the end of the season.

So the manager and all the staff are hoping we can finally get the job done and finish in running for promotion whether it be automaic promotion or through the playoffs.

Only time will tell whether we can lead harrogate town to the next level of football which is the conference national

After losing a few key players during the pre-season and rising £2.1m, we left it late in the window to bring in new players, but a busy last week of the summer window saw the club sign 4 players for a grand total of 1.7m.

Followed by a further £1.3m and 5 more players in the winter window.

The team struggled to gel, and spent the entire 1st half of the season in and round the bottom 5.

Wasn't until the return game of Stevenage at home, when our season really kick started.

as Stevenage where going for the title and we where on a run of 9 games without a win, you would expect a title chasing Stevenage team to walk all over a self pitying Cambridge team, who for the record hadn't beaten Stevenage under Orr's guidance in 16 years, but hey its a derby match, and we rose to it, beating Stevenage 3-0, giving the squad a huge boost going into the final 1/3.

Which lead to us finishing the season unbeaten in 10 games and pushing us up to 13th.

Hayesee Moments - The Golden Years

Well Hayes manager Steve Gold is now in his 11th year at Hayes and 10th full season in charge of Missioners and his spell in charge saw many changes ever since he walked through the door.

Things almost got even better for the League Two side with promotion but for the past four seasons they have always been the play off final loser, although that sounds dramatic enough, every season Hayes seemed to have snatched a play off place in style and the last two seasons have been just that with everything from poor form to having just 6 senior players available due to an massive injury crisis! But always in the second half of the season Gold managed to turn things into Hayes favour and make a great run into the play offs......we will see what this season brings!

This season just like the last one saw many changes happening at the club with many club regulars bowing out of the club and making space for new young players who want to prove they have what it takes.

Tommy Spurr, Stephen Ireland and Ian Quinn all left on a free transfer last season as their contracts were not renewed.

Along with them Petrovic was sold for a reasonable 1.4million to Wolves, Lee Fox joined fellow manager Andy at Altrincham, Brian Walls joined Nukes former team Grays for 1.8mill and McBride left for Roy's Welling at 85k.

This season, Thompson, Lien and Law made their way to Dundee in a combined fee of 775k, a step up for all players. Andy Rogers then also joined Oxford for free, a high hope that never happened so had to go.

For these players going out ive brought nothing but youngsters from around different parts of Europe bar one brazilian who had a Portguese Passport, he has been nicknamed Bebeto! The squad has basically been overhauled with new young talent to stop the rot and try and get things moving on again for Hayes.

Staff

Our current line up of staff has changed literally every season, so we brought some new ones ins for this season and gonna hope to keep hold of them too.

Assistant: Stefan Metzger

Coach: Mohamed Sissoko

Coach: Jonny Harkness

Coach: Didi Hamann

Coach: Joop Brand

YCoach: David McCracken

YCoach: Chris Burke

Physio: Liam English

Physio: Mark Jackson

Scout: Ross Herd

With much Transfer money coming into the club the board of directors have also agreed to upgrade the staff facilities and they have kept their word too, Hayes are now slowly matching the best teams in the league with their facilities and these will hopefully be improved even more in the future should the club get promoted. The Average age of the current squad has also gone down from 23 to 21, just showing that we are building for the future!

This season Hayes are predicted 6th by the media, as always, the fans of course would like to see promotion especially after the last 4 seasons all bringing Hayes into the Play offs, with Gold not managing Northern Ireland anymore it will possibly mean that all his efforts will once again go into Hayes, this last time saw two successive promotions for the side, will history repeat itself?

Season 22/23

Pre Season

Our Pre-season contained a mixture of tests for the squad and my newly promoted assistant Stefan, we would face Bury, Salisbury, Lancaster, Grays, Dorchester and Swansea as part our Parent club agreement. The link with Swansea has been cancelled and a new agreement has been setup with Chelsea.

Bury 0 - 2 Hayes

Salisbury 0 - 4 Hayes

Lancaster 0 - 6 Hayes

Hayes 2 - 1 Grays (A good win against the L1 side)

Dorchester 1 - 4 Hayes

Hayes 0 - 1 Swansea (would have been nice to have got a least a draw against the Championship side)

So a pre season which saw plenty of goals rattle in even if some of the opponents wernt the top spec calibre it at least showed we can score goals, the defeat for Swansea is a shame but hopefully it will have brought the lads back down to earth for our first match of the season.

League Two

vs AFC Wimbledon

They got relegated from League One and have thrashed us 5-1 in the past two seasons in the Cups, this would be a test of how far the team has come over the summer overhaul. What a test it was! The goals rattled in for the fans enjoyment, AFC will wonder what they done to deserve this on the first day of the season as Hayes destroyed them with 4 goals and it should have been far more!

Hayes 4 - 0 AFC Wimbledon

With a great opening game the Hayes train continued to roll, next up where Shrewsbury at the New Meadow.

Shrewsbury 1 - 2 Hayes, a close encounter but we managed to make it two out of two.

Hayes 1 - 0 Tamworth, newly promoted Tamworth go home thanking their lucky stars they only let one in.

Exeter 1 - 2 Hayes, another away game and another win, a 100% record so far for the Missioners.

We then had a break from the league for the League Cup but more about that later! In the league we continued with having to face Rotherham at Home.

Hayes 2 - 0 Rotherham, pleased to keep a clean sheet and deserved result.

Cheltenham 0 - 0 Hayes, avoiding defeat when we play away is the main objective this season and we did that here

Hayes 1 - 1 Blackpool, lucky seasiders got a point from us, they didnt deserve it at all.

It was now time for the assistant Stefan to take over again and see what he has learned, obviously the lose the first game trick he mastered!

Barnet 2 - 0 Hayes, our first defeat of the season! Although we should have won, they took their chances better

Hayes 2 - 0 Leeds, well this result makes up for that loss, the former premiership side really struggling in this league

Carlisle 0 - 2 Hayes, consistent is the key and another clean sheet and win certainly puts a smile on my face.

Hayes 3 - 0 Gravesend, tipped for big things we knocked them back big style with a great win.

Scunthorpe 0 - 1 Hayes, Stefan is showing some good stuff here and beaten a tough cookie away.

Hayes 1 - 1 Nuneaton, another game where the opponent has one shot on target and score and we should have clearly won!

It was time for the St. Johnstone Trophy but of course, once again more details about that later, we would now face two games away from home, including Roy's Welling side who are moving up the table slowly.

Macclesfield 0 - 0 Hayes, avoided defeat and a clean sheet, positives are taken out of every game

Welling 0 - 0 Hayes, same again, we avoided defeat away and kept a clean sheet, this should help with the goals against!

Hayes 1 - 0 Basingstoke, Pauls former club come to town and left with nothing, their just glad it was only 1!

Morecambe 1 - 4 Hayes, Greene showed he still has it in him by bagging in a hattrick!

Hayes 2 - 0 Oldham, Greene's good form continued as he makes it 5 goals in 2 games, the lad is on fire!

Having only been defeated once its the best start that Hayes have ever had to a league season and with almost half way through the season its hopefully going to continue for the rest of the campaign. We are three points ahead of QPR in 2nd but even better, ten points ahead of third place, hopefully we can increase this gap even more and have a guaranteed promotion spot come the end of the season!

Plenty of goals have been scored so far this season and even more pleasing is that we have conceded very little so far, hopefully something that will also continue! We still got some tough games coming up and hopefully Hayes will finally see promotion from League Two at last!

League Cup

We got drawn against Championship side Plymouth in the first round and they probably thought they would have an easy ride, well they thought wrong as they were blasted into space by a superior Hayes side that are just hot on form this season.

Despite even receiving a red card late in the game, Hayes never took their foot off the gas as they left plymouth fans wandering why they came all that way to see their team get demolished 6-1! Plymouth got their goal but it was just too late when they were already four down only for Hayes to rattle in two more in the 2nd half.

Hayes 6 - 1 Plymouth

The Cup run came to an end though after that as we faced Bolton, a hard fought game saw them go 1 up after 3 minutes and that was the only goal of the game, it could have gone either way though and maybe next season Hayes will have more luck!

Bolton 1 - 0 Hayes

JPT Cup

1st Round we face Exeter and brush them aside with ease aswell with a 2-0 win. Next up where then Pauls former club Basingstoke aswell and they wished they never met us as their own fans had to see how their side got a 3-0 thrashing from Hayes to help them advance to the next round where they will face QPR, a battle of the top two in League Two!

FA Cup

1st Round of the cup played so far and we faced Newport County, things went pretty much to plan as we strolled to a 3-1 win and go to face Huddersfield in the 2nd round, hopefully we can beat the L1 side to once again reach the 3rd round for a big money spinning tie!

So far success at Hayes this season with some wonderful results, a busy christmas period coming up in the game and hopefully Hayes can continue their success of the last four seasons in always having a better 2nd half of the season than the first!

The Golden Era

Well its all going on at Hayes, a settled squad and a team on course for promotion, finally into League One, can Hayes fans finally see their team promoted once again under the management of Gold! Its going to be a tough second half of the season but with Gold's 10th full season in charge something brilliant has surely got to happen!

The Cups

Well I had high hopes of doing well in the Cups but we got to the JPT Semi Final and lost to Villa on Penalties, the only good thing is, Villa went on to win the cup on penalties!

The Fa Cup saw us face Huddersfield, we should have and progressed towards the third round but maybe we will see Gold near the final in the future!

The League

It was a long tough battle for Hayes in the league but after 46 games............................

They have DONE IT!!! Champions of League Two and in style, Hayes set a new record points total in League Two by beating the previous record set by Davie Orr's Cambridge at 93pts to making it 99pts! It would have been nice to reach the hundred marker but winning the league was a historical moment in itself!

We easily secured a play off place and went from strength to strength in then securing promotion, the board and fans were over the moon and the media went crazy with news of our promotion and League Two winning side!

There were questions from the media though if Gold would be staying at Hayes as in the past Gold has had many offers from big clubs in the Premiership and the Championship wanting his services, Gold replied with "Right now im manager of Hayes and working towards our goals for next season, if this changes, you will hear about it".

Strong words from the manager but the fans of Hayes were not bothered at this moment of time, they are loving it that their team has got promoted.

Stars of the season have been Overgaard on the right wing, a hot prospect for the future in any division for sure, along with him and coming out of his shell is leading scorer for the season Rasmussen followed by "Bebebto" the little Brazilian who knocked in 19 goals to go with Rasmussens 21.

Greene managed to keep the Hayes scoring charts topped up with 14 goals of his own, Gentile, Vitor, Woronickie and Dolezol kept the teams out defensively which meant a massive goal difference of over 50 goals, Henderson the big NI hope of course help with this too by keeping 25 clean sheets for the season.

Having won two manager of the month awards, my first two ever awards, Gold was also presented the manager of the year award too!

So a great and successfull 10th full season in charge for Gold and with the squad developing everywhere means that there wont be too many new faces coming in, plenty of offers are comig in for our current players but we will try to hold onto them and take them to new levels for next season.

In other News, we also got Blyth as a feeder club, our first ever feeder club! Metzger couldnt handle being assistant and has taken back a coaching role with the club and Joop Brand has been promoted to assistant to help with the daily running of things.

Rumours have come in that Liverpool have offered Steve Gold the managerial job.........will Gold leave to join the elite in the EPL? stay tuned to find out more....

Arsenal.PNG

CHAMPIONS!!!!!!

After 3 seasons of long hard work Arsenal have finally done it and manager Tim Prescott has succeded in doing what he came to the Emirates for and managed to win the Premiership for the 20th time in the clubs history, more than any other club.

Arsenal did it the hard way as the first half of the season didnt really go to well despite winning the European super cup for the 2nd season in a row and also winning the world club championship for the first ever time in the clubs history, but the clubs main focus was on the premiership and they were a massive 14 points behind leaders Man Utd and it looked like they had no chance.

This looked even worse after back to back defeats in the turn of the new year to Man City and Everton looked to of ended the hopes of any title success but these defeats helped kick start Arsenals season and they went on a 30 match unbeaten run helped push the club back in to the title race.

It all came down to the last day of the season with Arsenal 3 poitns ahead of Man Utd and just needed to avoid defeat against Millwall to pick up the title.

It was a tight game at the Emirates and that was the same at upron park where Man Utd were playing West ham. The nerves got to both sides in both the games as nobody could find the breakthrough and they both ended up 0-0 which handed the title to Arsenal for the first time in 4 years.

But there was little time to celebrate for the players as there was the small matter of a 2nd successive champions league final this time against Man Utd to come.

It was going to be a interesting encounter at the Santiago Bernabeau as Arsenal were on a high after stealing the title from the red devils while they would be out for revenge.

Arsenal went into the final 25 games unbeaten in the champiosn league and only conceding 2 goals on their way to the final and that put them as favourites.

The first half was scrappy and their were no clear cut changes with only 1 shot on goal.

The 2nd half did improve or more like Arsenal did and they managed to get 2 goals and man utd couldnt reply so Arsenal had their 3rd champions league triumph.

It was Arsenals best ever season as they managed win 4 trophies and become world and European champions as well as winning the premiership so it will be a season that will be remembered for a long time by the gunners fans and the club need to build on it for next season.

Well folks, the new season has also been played during the Monster Marathon FM Session!

Lots more has happened in the game, updates are to follow soon, some of us unfortunately have had to go to work!

But boy I tell ya! I think ive slept around 6-8 hours since Friday and im knackered this morning and feeling it! 1 hours sleep Friday night to Saturday cos of work, then something like 3-4hrs sleep Sat to Sunday, up again at 7am cos of work, then last nite, i slept an hour and a half if that lol.

Anyway, game should still be up and running as far as I know! Hopefully wont miss too much with being at work all of this morning!

1st full season

After a slow start at Hibs we managed to finish 5th and get a UEFA cup spot, and hopfully we'll have a improvement on last season UEFA cup run where we got knocked out at the 1st rnd by the Polish side Wisla Plock 1-0 (agg), was also knocked out of both domestic cups at the quaters stage 2-0 by Kilmarnock and St Johnstone.

after much turmoil in the boardroom with a possible over, Eddie Bryce resigned from his post as chairman which allowed Kevin Brown to move in.

Before Ed quit he had given us a 25,000 all seater capacity stadium, in our bid to match the old firm and city rivals Hearts.

Job Completed

Margate's Robert Knott walked away from his job as Manager on 17/02/2004 giving the reason that he has taken the club as far as he could.

After taking control of the club in confrence south and having no money, a small wage budget and no players or staff. Knott really has done a very sucessful job in making Margate Fc a League One Club.

He has layed the foundations for a new manager to come in and take this club to the next step :

A very Good wage Budget for this league.

A very good squad to compete in this league

A stadium that is Currently being Enlarged

Good Facilitys for Training and Youth

Good youth prospects coming through

with all this in mind the Margate chairman and Fans would like to praise Knott and Thank him for the job he has done here at hartsdown park!

Fans Upset with Knotts Appointment

Knott Saves WBA

Seems Fans are starting to trust new man Rob Knott after he guided the team to safety and another season in the English Championship.

Speaking to the Official Website

I never had an doubt in my ability or the team when i took over this job. Its a fantastic club with great facilitys, best in the league a great stadium and a squad that has all the things a team at the top of the league would want. The league position is not an injustice were not playing good football ,morale is low and the players have started to forget what winning feels like.

I had been out of work for several months since leaving Margate Football club and i was starting to get bored of watching tv on the box. Things got that bad i once thought about going to watch Hibernian (a team who's managed by a close friend of Knott)in the scotish league. I quickly thought against the idea!

Im Now looking forward to the new season and hope we can Kick on and show this league what were made of.....

So thats the movers and shakers, the staff were kept apart from that Riise moved from Assistant to being a coach and brought in was Italian Marco Amelio.

The Campaign

Well, the cups came and went, League Cup 2nd Round exit to fellow Premiership side Norwich and out to Oxford in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup. For both games and the first half of the season, Assistant manager Riise was in charge, it was in Jan that Gold returned from his holiday and made the backroom staff changes.

Well, Liverpool kicked off the first game of the season against a big opponent in Citeh! A 0-0 result was quite pleasing as a defeat was predicted for Pool. The Media have predicted the club to do slightly better than last year and have put them at coming 15th place come the end of the season.

A loss to Sheff Wed set reality in though that its going to be tough in the EPL, but the side returned with wins over Bradford and Notts County.

In Riise's half season spell he managed to get a 3-0 win over York and also overhaul Chelsea with a great 5-1 win infront of the home fans. Unfortunately they then lost 1-0 to Man Utd but recovered their form with a 2-1 win over Tim's Arsenal.

Gold returned to the Hotseat and was immediately beat by Notts County 2-0, although the result says more than the game itself! One team took their chances and the other didnt. But Gold's harsh words with the players returned 5 wins on the trott for the Reds and that included a 2-1 win over Tavvs York!

Then a result which I couldnt believe was a 5-0 tonking from Chelsea, despite having had more possession, more shots, more completed passes, crosses, headers and tackles, we couldnt score and they took every chance they got, Ramos scoring all their goals! But then with just a few games left of the season it happened...........

West Ham Utd sack their manager! The team with the Legendary but declining in his older years striker Mark Matchett were managerless, Matchett was on the phone to his former Northern Ireland manager to try and pursade the German to move south.

Days later Gold gets a very tempting offer from West Ham, it was agreed by both parties that they should wait till the end of the season before matters are resolved regarding the deal.

Well Gold continued to serve Liverpool and finished in a respectable 7th place, much better than what the fans, board and media thought would happen.

Gold has successfully taken Liverpool back into Europe, much to the fans delight! A very good squad has been build at Liverpool that will go towards challenging for Europe and more in the future.

Gold was also praised by not just Liverpool fans but also Harrogate fans as the season drew to an end, with Liverpool announcing a new Feeder club deal he immediately went about sending many youngsters to fellow manager Tez and it turned their season around as Harro avoided relegation for this season!

However, Gold's stay at Liverpool was to be a short one! Having signed up a couple of players for the future, Gold announced he would be leaving the club to move south and take over the reigns at West Ham Utd.

Gold was said to be sad to be leaving Liverpool so quickly as he had started to build a very competitive young squad who are not just already talented but will get even better in the future. He wished the club all the best for the future and hopes that they bring in a very talented manager with bags of experience in both the EPL and Europe and that next time he would certainly aim to stop a lot longer!

Golden Hammers To Knock Up The Table

After only one season in the Premiership, Gold left Liverpool and has taken up the managerial job of West Ham United, the team finished one place above Liverpool and also of course qualified for Europe.

Gold was sad to leave Liverpool but was said to be looking forward to the future with his new club and hopes that he can build up the strong foundations that have been set and take West Ham the extra step!

Transfers

Gold immediately brought some much needed new faces to the Hammers squad which included Liverpool left back Al-Khiliwi, at only 21 he has is showing that he is an outstanding professional and one of the best in his position.

Joining him is a future CB from Coritiba named Fernando, with the feeder club deal we matched the bid and he was happy to join me, will be going out on loan.

Italian right winger Cinelli joined for 9million from Atletico, our current right winger has approached the Golden 30 and Cinelli im seeing as his future replacement.

Andy Bull joins for 7million, can play on both wings and upfront, another with future potential and will be acting as cover.

Dominik Stumpf, the German striker joins from Barcelona for 4.2million, lots of potential in this guy and if he turns out then ive got one hot talent on my hands!

Ben Ahmed, the Tunisian joins for 11.5million, although his WP was turned down, he moves to our Polish feeder club to gain experience and his WP, already two years spent in Spain will hopefully mean he will get this soon, a rising star who is scoring for fun for his national team.

Rounding things up are Markus Meier, a free transfer from Gladbach, again another striker with potential and Diarra, the Centre Back joins also on a free from Lyon and will be replacing Hobbs who is retiring.

Going the other way were Claudio Bigi, the Argentine was earning a lot and seemed prone to injury, he goes to Spain for 2.1 million. Joining him in Spain but going to Deportivo is Gabrielli, the 33 year old Italian Centre Back enjoyed 2 years at the Hammers but his best days are behind him im afraid. German striker Nico Brill also leaves the exit door, almost the biggest earner on the wage bill Nico had to go, he was sitting in the reserves so the bid from Sevilla was accepted with open arms.

The Campaign

We travelled to Old Trafford for the opening game of the season and what a game it was, the Hammers could and should have got at least a point but how these things go, we get beat! With a defeat things can only get better!

That they did aswell! With a 6 game unbeaten run which included just one draw but more importantly, wins over Blackburn and Chelsea! Although then losing to Wigan somehow, things picked up as Everton received a 5-0 bashing infront of the home fans.

Two defeats in a row followed though, but they were to Citeh and a humping from Arsenal, but all good sides recover and West Ham did just that by this time going 7 games unbeaten, this time drawing with Man Utd and beating both Tavvs York and Tims Liverpool side.

Although we suffered two more defeats again, we also have won two more games, the last win being over Norwich which takes us to 3rd place in the Premierleague with 2 games in hand over York, hopefully we can get maximum points from both these days and slowly decrease that gap that Arsenal have built up so far this season, Im definately cutting myself out for winning the league, Arsenal look absolutely invincible this season and will without doubt win the title with ease, but from our current position, if things go as planned, then getting a champions league place would certainly make me more than happy!

In the FA Cup, again I go out at the 3rd Round but we lost to Chelsea, so no shock at all like with Liverpool last season! In the League Cup we managed to get to the Semi Final before Arsenal won 2-1 on Agg.

In Europe we have been making strides, despite a shock, and I mean shock, 1-1 draw away to Zrinjski, we managed to round things up at Home with an easy 2-0 win.

We then got drawn in Group D along with Besiktas, Stuttgart, Celta and Zurick, the two opening games vs Stuttgart and Besiktas ended with a 2-2 and 1-1 draw, but wins over Zurich and Celta propelled the club to the top of Group D and see West Ham go through as winners!

For the Knockout stage, the Hammers will be travelling to Dortmund, a big big game for both teams and one were we can hopefully take victory and continue playing in Europe!

Other Club News

West Ham manager Steve Gold and the Hammers board have proudly announced a new Feeder team links, first agreement was made between Miami FC and West Ham, a merchandising agreement which should hopefully see West Ham's popularity increase over in the states.

A bit closer to home, actually, a lot closer to home! Gold also announced a feeder link agreement with fellow manager Rob Knott, West Ham have agreed to a loan deal in which Gold will send out top class youngsters to aid the Baggies campaign!

So far so good for Gold at West Ham, many changes are still to be made but they will be introduced over time. Hopefully a Champions League place come the end of the season, that would be a wonderful start to my Hammers career!

After 4 very successful season Arsenal have made the announcement shortly after the final whistle of the last game of the season that Tim Prescotts services will no longer be required.

They have said that it was a tough decision to let him go as he has been one fo the clubs most successful managers but they are holding him responsble for being loyal to the useless assistant manager Chris fairclough and for not sacking him sooner as he helped ruin the clubs season.

Arsenal would like to thank Prescott for all he has done in takng Arsenal to where they belong in being the best club in the world.

In his time at the club he won:

1 Premier division Title

2 Champions Leagues

3 European Super Cups

1 Uefa Cup

2 World Club Championships

1 League Cup

Overall Arsenal fans will look back at his time at the club fondly and they will just hope he doesnt return with another club to make the chairman regret his decision.
