I thought we got a place in the CL Group Stages after finishing second last season. Turns out I was wrong, and we go in to the third qualification round. And that will be the end this season

Just reading through this thread. Phenomenal progress! Well done. :applause:Good luck against Juve.

Aha yes true! Maybe I should have said, enjoy the experience. :D

I remember a save I did several years ago with Sola in Norway, a game played at the San Siro against AC Milan in the UCL. We subbed on a guy we had in the original Sola squad when I started the save, Fossen, and he only came on and scored to ensure the game ended 3-3. This one of my most memorable FM experiences. :)

We did pretty good actually, I'll post the results soon :)

It's always nice to keep hold of one of the "original" from the team! I am so far in to the save now, so there are barely any real players left

August 2042

Two losses this month, and we are tied at the top of the table with eight games to go.

Champions League

Too absolutely no ones surprise we lost both of the games against Juventus, but the first one was very close! Eirik Løkken (YP14a) even missed the goal one on one with their keeper. Overall I am very happy with our performance!

Europa League

But at least we're in the EL, our first adventure in Europe! Winning two out of these six games would be nice.

What an absolutely incredible season! This was only our third season in the top tier, but we won the league! There is nothing more to say really :D

Vålerenga striker Yordan Kolev had an amazing season!

Norgesmesterskapet

But, not only did we win the league, we also won Norgesmesterskapet!

In the final we faced the team that finished last in the Eliteserien this season. We really had no problems in the game, but 5-1 is a bit too much

The two best this season looks very good! Especially Omar Zada (YP21a) could be a star for us!

Top three sorted by PA.

If only he had the physicals of the guy below!

Two players in the NXGN 2043! Daniel Bath (YP19e) is considered a wonderkid now :D

Speaking of Wonderkids, Øystein Anthonessen (YP20a) could be the next Erling Haaland!

We had an incredible debut in the Europa League!

The two highlights have to be the 8-0 win against Sporting CP and the 7-0 win against Austria Vienna. Two absolutely ridiculous games!

946258437d499404f572d25791051e76.png

That means we finished 7th, one place above Real Madrid

In the knock-out stages we faced Levante from LaLiga. They were close to the bottom of the league when we faced them.

568e93933aadaf3deaabc5a9f483f8cb.png5f03f0ad4008cc5ea3b9b009cb2f46ed.png

We did not have that much trouble really, and got through to the Quarter Final.

There we faced FC Utrecht, from the Netherlands.

19a170cafa5396e49e3b217c924dac40.png6d006c10d3d1e874c81d9a8acd61b3f8.png

And that was the end of the road for us this season! Two pretty close games, but we could not score enough goals.

Do you get news items for these to say player x is placed somewhere. Or do you need to search the list?

I believe theres an option in the message that only shows players from your team

There are 50 players in total. The list is sorted in tabs, 1-10, 11-20 and so on. And the last tab is the players from your team, if you have any on the list :)

Sold Players

Marcus Roos (YP16a)

After getting the move to Hamburger SV he has mainly been used as a winger. Had a decent first season for the Germans.

Thomas Gudmundsen (YP17a)

Is a regular for PSG and the Norwegian national team! Have not really set the world on fire for PSG, but his value has skyrocketed. Remember, I have a 50% sell on fee :D

I am now looking to start this challenge - Youth only from Norway's 11th tier today with Frelsesarmeen Oslo.

@Warg92Do you have any tips or advise?

Anywhere you go the graphics from? Any use of kit basher?

What have been your main learning points in this save?

Do you remove the leagues below you as you move up the divisions?

Keep up the good work, really enjoy reading your save.

Salvation Army Oslo, a good choice!

To be honest, the only advise I have is that you have to have fun with your save. If you don't "feel" the save from the start, I suggest going with another team. An actual advise is that when you turn semi-pro, and you give the new youth player "Youth" contracts, that will cost you a normal wage every month. But if you re-negotiate those contracts right away, you could get them on contracts that only pay an appearance fee, saving you a few quid each month. And money is something that you will struggle with.

One thing I have learned is that the "only" thing that matters on a HoYD in the lowest league is the Personality. Personalities on the players he is getting is the key, as the facilites will stay bad all the way up to the top leagues. Good personality equals good growth.

Yes, I remove them. But now that we're a top tier team, I still have the leagues down to the fourth tier added. I like to follow the leagues below us, for realism :)

Thank you for following!

I am really annoyed that we did not win the game against B/G. They got a man sent off with us being 2-1 up in the 80th minute, and somehow managed to score two goals, making it 3-2 to them. Thankfully Gosvig (YP17b) saved us in the end.

Great thanks for the advise! I had been doing the youth academy challenge in Denmark but after 2 promotions and still not getting any coaching badges as the board kept rejecting them it's time to move on!

I will do some more research on teams in the 11th tier as maybe one day dream of coming over and watching a game! Any teams that you recommend/have anything unique about them?

Is there a local Norway website which lists the actual results of this league?

Good luck!

One team that stands out in terms of being unique is GBK Lillehammer (Gudbrandsdølenes Ballklubb Lillehammer). Every starting XI, every position, who plays where, tactics, formation in the game and things like that is decided by the fans! I believe they use TikTok, where the fans (and the opposition players as well!) can vote. They actually won their league this season, but did not want to get promoted :)

Fotball.no has every single game in Norway. But there is no other options than Norwegian on the site, so it might be hard to navigate.

Well, at least we beat Bodø/Glimt in the last game of the season. But it did not matter, as we lost the two games before we faced them. That means we finish second. That is the second time in three seasons. I am not happy with our two last months of the season, as that is what managed B/G to win the league. But, I am happy we managed to keep the second place, as that is a Champions League place!

Absolute ridiculous first season in the Champions League group stages! The stats from all the games is posted below. The only game we really struggled in was the game against Manchester City, as they showed us the level of the absolute best teams.

All the teams that qualified for the next rounds. Other than us the biggest surprise have to be Karlsruher SC, they finished top four in the Bundesliga last season, for the first time! Another surprise was that Manchester City finished way down in 16th!

Youth Intake 2044

7d9955cceffe4dff608c4d597d309715.png

I believe this is the first youth intake with maxed out recruitment and youth training (Or does it take more than one year to show on the youth intake?), and this looks like yet another great year!

51a3931941eed02ff71bd9c3ae90f26e.png

John Ulrik Ferrer (YP22a) looks like a very good prospect, and it's even better that he is a CB, as that is one of the positions we have the worst cover outside of the starting XI.

de67a28abf90ec2bd836d50d3b908aea.png

Ergi Ibrahimi looks like a decent player as well. Another great striker prospect at club.

Not related to the Berg family from Bodø, sadly.

This is the Legends of Bodø/Glimt, just to show how good the Berg family has been for the club.

Decent start in the league. I made a mistake by rotating the team 100% against Sandefjord, believing our second best team could beat them. How wrong I was. Roas Husby scored a late goal coming from the bench. At least it helped us in the CL :brock:
