[FM23] Base Skin NO FACES MOD V1.19 released on 31/03/2023

V1.19 Available for download! 
I would like to thank those that help me out with hints and suggestions on how to make this skin possible. (not in order ): @keysi @bluestillidie00 @statomatic7 @jambo222 @michaeltmurrayuk @snowofman @Tyburn. You guys have been really helpful.

What I wanted to achieve, with this skin, is to avoid any faces in the game and have an old style game with just informations, numbers etc. To to that, I've change (where I could) portrait with the Kit image that we all like. Anyway. Hope you guys enjoy it.

IMPORTANT! THIS SKIN WAS ORIGINALLY CREATED JUST FOR ME AND I'VE ADAPTED TO MY 16" MACBOOK SCREEN. SO IT IS TESTED FOR HIGH RESOLUTION WINDOW SETUP! BEAR IN MIND, I WON'T CREATE AN ADAPTABLE VERSION OF IT. SORRY IN ADVANCE FOR ANY DISAPPOINTMENT!

CHANGES IN V1.19

• Removed face and added instead Shirt-Kit on new news screen I didn't see before  
• minor fixes to some panels
• start to work on MLS

• Improved and fix Pre-Match Briefing with the Shirt-Kit
• minor fixes to some panels

CHANGES IN V1.17

• during match day i've updated few bits. Added Kit Icon Best Player so it doesn't have just the name anymore and I add the Kit icon in Opposition instruction as well
• on the Player PopUP windows i've added the Position. It is handy for my way of playing.

CHANGES IN V1.16

• few bug fix in SHORTLIST page and changed few Faces with the KIT 
• Few extra face gone.

CHANGES IN V1.15

• few bug fix due to my mistakes. For example. TOUCHLINE SHOUTS. ENTIRE TEAM was missing 
• Few extra face gone.
• Added the KIT instated of the face for WORLD NEWS in the drop down progress calendar.

CHANGES IN V1.1 (earlier than expected!!! )

• add INSTANT RESULT button @bluestillidie00 i've used your xml file i've found on the forum and it fit perfectly.
• when I started to play, I've got into a bug I made 😂 so i fix it. Text disappeared into contract negotiations. All back to normal.

KNOW BUG or Missing bits:

• Few bits here and there. Specially some portrait still there that I can't figure out how to remove it. (Hopefully they all be gone for V1.1);
• For some reason, in some pages the player will display your team Kit instead of their team (Hopefully I can understand with community help how to solve or workaround for V2);
• The skin hasn't been tested for MLS;

• Removed all the portrait

• Fixed the Kit Bug (can't really promise that though)

To begin with, i'm struggling to understand how to remove the faces from the training section in my HOME page where you can see the red arrow. Any idea?

This widget is connected to panels/widgets/club training performes list widget.xml

It's the same as with what we did yesterday, just change the first number to 0 and the face won't show.

The second widget "Training" in right selector in your picture is connected to panels/human/manager home training.xml

And delete the picture widget for both best and worst performers

You have it in your own picture, try to read within the files what widget is linked in and to.

you can edit the picture in this widget panels/player/player training performance panel.xml, just search through that file where the picture is and play with the alignment.

you can make them use l the black default face, but not what you're tying to do

Thank you @bluestillidie00 but than means I'll have that black face that is the reason i'm removing all the faces LOL
I know i'm wired but ... if i remove them all ... i won't be offended anymore LOL

It is kind of going back to a text base game (just with logos and kits) like it was before it became FM

So to give you an update. I've completed the Player section

If you are just wanting to remove the licensed faces and blank default faces and don't mind an empty space where they were.

Then you just need to extract the contents of the pictures/players folder from the default graphics fmf file.

Then delete the graphics from those folders but keep the config files, then place those config files in the graphics folder inside your user data location (or inside your skin if you only want the change to affect this skin) and that will remove all the licensed and default player faces.

(Though you may need to make sure the file path is not exactly the same as the default path - should be some posts about how to do this in the forum, as it gets brought up every couple of years)

mmmm thank you @michaeltmurrayuk i thought about it but than yes ... it means i have to deal with the blank space left behind. So maybe it is worth it to try and do looking into each section. It would take time but maybe it could be an interesting Skin for people like me .. that want's a face and black face free game LOL

I think the easiest way to approach it would be to use the find in files function in Notepad++. Find a code used for the player faces, remove all traces, then when you spot another face, do the same until they're all gone

Wouldn't even need to do that. Just edit your skin_config.xml

Meeting panels are controlled by the various interaction files in the panels\generic folder - different files for different people/meeting types.

Dynamics stuff xml files are named chemistry - club chemistry support panel from the panels\club folder and team chemistry overview panel from panels\team folder should control that page.

I can't figure out where I control the faces here and I can't remove.

Hi @snowofman thank you for your reply. That is the page for actual list but the there isn't any indication of the portrait picture. 
The other one I solved today was a mini player panel just for the player. I thought would work the same but i can't figure out and the same for Risk Assessment in Medical page.

I don't get it. There isn't a common path in this code LOL

i think the picture might be part of the table code.

and not seen the risk assessment code, do you have a name for the file

Hi @snowofman it is soo wired how some pages are made.

Take this one for example. I understand that 'inbox content with physio intro panel.xml' is that file that control it but no clue to understand where he gets the Face.

For this page, the file that control the list is: club playing times for upcoming season panel.xml but again ... I can't see any mention or connection to where to find the face picture.

Guys, i have one last bit on this Medical Centre.
So i know that line in yellow control face and name but i can't understand how to control just the face. Any idea? @snowofman

how about replacing the default dark face with a transparent png file? That way you'll have the faces but it's a blank space

that was an option but than you leave a gap pretty much everywhere. The idea is not just the black but any faces.

First one ... Injury Update i can't find how to manage to remove the faces.
Second one ... is Expected Play Time.

Really appreciated any help. At least so i can carry on with the game and find out what's left LOL
