Well...like I said there could be some fails along the way.

At the moment Danilo refuses to change the nationality.

This can change, but for that, Brazil needs to drop in the WR.

How do you decide on the Chinese names when and if they adopt the nationality?

Why are there only 2 Chinese players in your national team? Are your club players not good enough, or are you resting them? (I must admit,in my somewhat similar Scotland / Hibs save) I try to avoid starting my outfield players for the national team because they're usually fairly jaded.

Especially if there are jaded Celtic players I can start instead.

However, apart from my goalie, there are no Hibs players who are clearly in the best starting XI. A lot of them on the sub's bench though, on merit.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_given_name

I found this list on wikipedia with the most common names. If a name doenst show up, I just search it on wikipedia and look up the meaning.

Then I look at the player and try to find something. For e.g. is a player strong -> strong means Quiang

I doing it, when I call them up. I like the immersion.

Just not good enough. The players at Shenhua are by far the best players in the country.

Ofcause its a benefit for us at the moment, that Im taking like 10 players from them, but I did that a Shenhua too.

We lost the games against Shenhua.....

So if we got the same points, the got the advantage.

But they only drew Guoan, so we are back at the top.

OK, but in China the family name comes first, so with Quiang Vito, it should be Gabriel Qiang (no u after Qs in Mandarin) or whatever family name you want to substitute Gabriel for. If you want a vaguely similar sounding Chinese surname, maybe Gao.

Oh thanks. The naming stuff is kinda hard, since is so different.

You better believe it. Chinese people have about 4 or 5 different names or nicknames, and are called different things by parents, other family, friends, work colleagues etc. Names are really important in China.

Anyway, having lived in China a lot, I'll be following your progress with interest.

Most of the time I lived in Ningbo, a city of 6 million people, and 0 non-amateur football teams.

I also lived in Dalian, which has 2 professional teams, but I never met anyone who watched their matches, even on TV.

Cool.

"but I never met anyone who watched their matches, even on TV."

Wow this is pretty savage.

Sorry to hog your thread, but have you ever actually watched a real CSL football match? They're pretty tough to take.

Dont worry, we talke about China so it fits here. :)

Yes I watched couple of games like 2-3 years ago. In Germany its not easy to watch the CSL, but DAZN had couple of games each week.

I saw a lot of SIPG now Shanghai Port with Hulk and Oscar.

The football wasnt really good, the foreign players where always one step above them on the field.

AND everybody was sweating crazy.
