OlivierL
Puștii lui Hagi - The Viitorul is bright ! Introduction: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FC_Viitorul_Constanța FC Viitorul Constanța is a club founded and owned by legendary player Gheorghe Hagi since 2009 . Hagi wanted to take over his old and almost bankrupt club FC Farul Constanța but did not get permission . That's why Hagi started a soccer school in Constanța , Ovidiu .Hagi then bought the licence from CS Ovidiu in the League III . Usually the Romanians ignore the inconspicuous sleeping city Ovidiu and go to the fashionable seaside resort Mamaia. Since a few years the town is also an obligatory stop for the celebrities of Dinamo and Steaua Bucharest. Thanks to the local Viitorul Constanta , Ovidiu is on the map, now it has to get rid of its destitute view. The immediate vicinity of the four-lane road that divides Ovidiu into two looks like a war zone: the half-finished houses and hastily abandoned construction sites follow each other in rapid succession. Until the well-shaped contours of Stadionul Viitorul with its 4,500 covered pitches suddenly appear in no-man's-land. This is where the Academia houses the Fotbal Gheorghe Hagi and Viitorul Constanta, on a seven-hectare piece of land. With its eight football fields, it is by far the largest and most modern youth academy in Romania. The youth hotel that is on the scaffolding has to complete the picture. With his two instruments, the academy and the club, Hagi has long been preparing a putsj for the establishment. : Hagi breaking through Bucharest's power with his provincial club and other big cities like Timisoara, Cluj, Ploiesti, Arad and Craiova. With a budget of 4.5 million euros, Viitorul doesn't even come close to the six richest clubs in Romania, but the climb from third division to the top is unstoppable. In 2016-2017 FC Viitoral became champion with the youngest team ever and last season it won the Cupa României. Confirmation and European success should now follow. With Hagi as owner and Head of Youth Dev. (I changed this in the editor, Hagi was Manager and owner) and best friend Gheoghe Popescu as chairman this can't go wrong. Well-known players from the academy : Razvan Marin (Standard) , Ianis Hagi ( Genk - Rangers) , Florinel Coman ( FSCB), Cristian Ganea (Athletic - loaned back). Location: FC Viitorul is located in region Constanța , Constanța is part of Northern Dobruja: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Northern_Dobruja Stadium: Facilities : Great training and youth facilities , excellent academy coaching and exceptional youth recruitment. Why FC Viitorul ? : I was looking for a new challenge after my adventure with Icelandic club IR (only youth) . I am a big fan of Bilbao / only Basques. That's why I was looking for a team with a special background and preferably active in a nice special / beautiful region. I finally chose Romania as a tribute to my great-grandfather, who had roots in Romania. I want to emulate a Dobruja only policy. Thanks @Jimbokav1971 and @Muttley84 for the suggestions. OlivierL
Puștii lui Hagi - The Viitorul is bright ! Challenge - rules & objectives Rules: *only sign players from Northern Dobruja (Romania) or homegrown players from club playing in Dobruja. *Romanians already in the squad from outside North Dobruja can stay . *People from outside Romania in the first team (5 ‘important ‘ players at the moment) can stay till I have enough good Romanians to replace them. Note: all the players from the region and our youth intake get a (GH) tag. Objectives before FM21 arrives: *Winning the league with only Romanians (born in Dobruja and/or players from own academy) *Getting past the Europa League group stages with only Romanians. *Getting into the Champions league group stage with only Romanians. *Produce a lot of Romanian internationals (in 2025 , 25% internationals should had an Gheorghe Hagi education). *Produce a lot of Romanian internationals (in 2030 , 80% internationals should had an Gheorghe Hagi education). *Coach the Romania national team. Quote Georghe Hagi "Getting players into the national team is the ultimate goal. I want to help rebuild Romanian football". Editor: I found 144 players .. not enough, i hope that this list will increase after scouting . But this save will be in particular a youth save. I had to use the editor so i could change the role of Hagi and to add the region tags ( The cities from Constanta and Tulcea received a [Dubruja] tag , made a mistake because it should have been Dobruja ) . With this tag it's easy to use the right player search filters. Without this tag i have to typ every city each time i do a search. Now i can search on ' Dobruja'. Database: Next : Meet the manager - Meet the club - Meet the squad - tactic . I'll update every season in two parts + highlight the youth intakes. Please let me know if u have any tips to improve this topic . Edited May 6, 2020 by OlivierL

OlivierL
Puștii lui Hagi - The Viitorul is bright ! Meet the manager & staff: Apart from a head scout, the staff is quite complete with Popescu as chairman and Hagi as HOYD (Model citizen!!) and owner. Pretty strong DOF and assistant manager. With the youth I had 23 staff members while the board only wants to keep 3 trainers. I was able to terminate the contract of eight coaches but it wasn't free of charge. Potential problem at the end of this season as almost all of them are at the end of their contract and there are more than three good coaches at the moment. OlivierL
Puștii lui Hagi - The Viitorul is bright ! Meet the squad: Many players from our own youth academy but only 5 from the Dobruja region. As you can see, the players have been tagged.(DOGH) = Youth intake FC Viitorul / Gheorghe Hagi(GH) from earlier intakes and born in Dobruja .(GH) = Trained at the club U21(homegrown) and not born in Dobruja and was already in the squad.(DO) = Player born in Dobruja and/or homegrown because of history with a team from Dobruja. I’ll add a number(year) after future youth intakes. DOGH20 or GH20 .. that depends if the youth product was born in DObruja or not. Of course there were already a lot of players at the club with a limited history. But all players who were in youth training before the age of 18 have at least gotten a (GH) tag. I will keep this up to date every year in the factroom. Meet the best players: On loan from Athletic . It's a player with a Basque background so it's a nice story since I started this challenge according to Bilbao's inspiration. I have him on loan till the end of the season. Great defender from the Academy , he'll be my main central defender . The best striker in the squad. Trained by Hagi and hopefully a goal machine. He scored remarkably almost nothing in the past. Summary: a pretty strong core with a libero Paul Iacob suitable for my tactic . Multiple good wingbacks , strong midfielders ( Mix of defensive and creative) and in front a lot of options. Lack of a pressing forward can be solved through Jacques Zoua normally no transfers needed. Edited May 6, 2020 by OlivierL
OlivierL
Puștii lui Hagi - The Viitorul is bright ! Meet the youth: Many youth players, trained in the Hagi academy were sold . But there are still some very good potential stars left. I present you the best ones (they got tags as well). Remarkable that there are many from outside Dobruja. I'm curious if this will be the case with future youth intakes. Father & Son Popescu I'll loan out all my players from 18 and older. The 'wonderkids' age 16/17 will stay at the club, because training is important for them and we have the best facilities in Romania. I will show a spreadsheet (like the previous post about the first team) each youth intake in combination with how I determine which youth players are allowed to stay (calculate their attributes and strength per position) and possibly retrain them for a new position. This was a long and last update for today. Next: Season 1 Pre Season - tactic - transfers . Afterwards i'll update 3 times a season (First half - Youth intake - End of the season). If i have to report something important I won't hesitate to post this faster. Edited May 6, 2020 by OlivierL
OlivierL
Puștii lui Hagi - The Viitorul is bright ! Season 1 - Pre-season & Preview : Pre-season was ok ,a good win against FC Midtjylland and only two injuries. 22 of the 24 players are match fit. My libero tactic, i'm using this tactic since FM19 . The first one I created at the FM19 beta . First eleven after the pre-season . First choice wingback Damien Dussaut got injured and one of my best central defenders Robert Hodorogea was injured at the start of the game.. He is out for 11 months After the pre-season I promoted Alexi Pitu and Louis Munteanu to the first team . They will play for the U19 but trainer with the first team and get mentored. They are both in the first team in real life. I don't know what to expect. the board wants top half.. i'm going for top four (Europa League first qualifying round for the number 2 , 3 and 4). I hope i can win the Super copa (would be the first time ) and try to survice in the Europa Qualifying rounds. Though born in Romania, he and his parents immigrated to the Basque region when he was a child, and he spent significant time with Basconia, Athletic’s feeder club, as a youth player, thereby making him eligible for the Lions. He also represented the Basques at the U-18 level. 58 minutes ago, quee said: I think I may have missed a trick by choosing Dinamo Bucharest as my first chosen-affiliate! I read somewhere that a few of the top teams in Liga 1 don't even have a youth academy .. not sure if this is true. I'm really curious to see where the players will come from in the next youth intake. Many of the current 'academy' players come from outside the region.
quee
Does anybody know if Iannis's dominant foot is left like his father? In the game he have both as very strong. For either footed player, they should still favour one over the other most of the time.

What I would have liked is that you continued using Hagi's tactics and not your own, but I get where you're coming from. 19 minutes ago, quee said: Does anybody know if Iannis's dominant foot is left like his father? He actually was asked this in an interview and declared himself as being strong with both feet, but he feels more natural controlling the ball with the left and shooting with the right. So there you have your answer I guess, pretty sure thats not reflected in game though.

Actually hoping my scouts discovered him so I can consider him for my LW. Anybody from Dinamo I should be looking for? Thanks for the info on Hagi. In one of my updates I had asked why I chose Dinamo as my affiliate, it was because I was planning to get Hagi then because of the Romanian connection (Viitorul should have been the more obvious connection, tbh, but only Dinamo was in the list ). They played against Gent this season but I can't remember how they played? normally they should have played against my home and favourite team Royal Antwerp but we moved directly to the next round because of disqualification from another team. I do not remember how they played in that game, but at some point Hagi imposed 4-3-3 at all his teams in the Academy (from the main one to the youngest). He wanted to do something like Ajax where all are prepared for the same formation. It is true that the first team might have switched a bit from this according to oposition, but I think that is a cool philosophy to have especially in a save like yours.

OlivierL
This story is over before it started.. Found no match with the Romanian league and the region was far too small and unrealistic. It became more of a Youth only challenge and I've done that a number of times already. Started something new, and i hope this will be the right save and story :
