Earnie is God!
This international management lark is a bit easy, isn't it? Seems like it so far Meanwhile... We're not keeping many clean sheets but when we are winning 9 in a row and claiming the scalps of Liverpool, Man U and Arsenal, it's difficult to have much of a valid complaint

Earnie is God!
And it's weird because we've sold a load of players and hardly spent a thing on replacements Cooper's our new backup GK and Bae is a 16yo prospect, the only two we spent money on Of the freebies, Popovic and Milner are youngsters and these are the others Gaissmayer the best of the lot and is the kind of quality we need to be looking for from now on. Earnie is God!
Some tricky matches and a loss of form have set us back a little although we are still top for time being. Everton away next for us and last time out they lost at Cardiff. That was only the Welsh club's 2nd win of the season but what a win it was! Facilities Will our 'best youth facilities in the country' finally lead to an excellent youth intake? Well, the signs look promising A GK, CM, W and two strikers, all excellent prospects apparently. Maybe our very own 'you can't win anything with kids' moment
Earnie is God!
World Cup Qualifiers The highly anticipated draw is finally here and I've been tracking down players in the meantime As for the draw... 2nd seeds, drawn in Group 10 with Ukraine, Georgia and Andorra Looking at the 1st seeds, give us Austria please! It comes down to either Austria or England 😟 and of course we get England 😒 Only the group winners qualify and then the best six 2nd-placed teams from the 10 groups also make it through. England no doubt favourites and it looks like a battle between us and Ukraine for 2nd. I quite like how our fixtures have been drawn; a double header v Andorra and then Ukraine/England pairings too. Means I can call up or use a few 'lesser' players for the Andorra matches but have our best players for the bigger matches. Or that's the plan anyway. Earnie is God!
Busy Christmas period and we are still hanging onto top spot. But we play Liverpool next, just two days after dispatching Brighton 3-0, so we are in a slightly precarious position.~ But Christmas doesn't just bring a hectic festive period, it also brings all the buggering clubs out of the woodwork to try and steal my players. Weirdly, a lot of Chinese interest (and only Chinese interest) in one of my best CMs I could actually let him go for the right price as I have too many CMs so will see if a bid materialises. Not shown my profile on here in a while, not even looked at it myself in ages, but here it is Yup, still the same mutli-repeated nonsense. We get it, I prefer to sign younger players 🙄 Although how I quite got a disciplinary rating of 22 out of 20 I'll never know. Stupid FM
Earnie is God!
Happy to sell this merely decent youngster for a really good price. Nice to see our youth academy starting to pay off at last Man U away next, 2nd v 1st
Earnie is God!
We picked up a draw at Man U, beat Everton but then were stuffed 4-1 at Spuds for our first defeat in ages. 5pts clear with 10 games to go. We need to bounce back v Man City next or nerves might set in and we might not win the league
Earnie is God!
A+ rating but the board are very disappointed and concerned about recent results. Stupid FM. I've been a bad boy Not stopped us from keeping our gap at the top though but there are still 5 clubs in the frame so not over yet Edited July 31, 2020 by Earnie is God! Earnie is God!
World Cup Qualifying Campaign First a friendly v Mexico who are ranked 13th in the World and a comfortable 2-0 win for us Which gave us this, which was nice but means nothing if we don't qualify Our first qualifier was at home to Georgia. England had just gone over there and won 3-0, by no means a big score, so perhaps Georgia aren't as bad as is being made out. We'll have to be on our toes, that's for sure. Well, I needn't really have worried as we raced into a 4-0 lead in under half an hour. However, complacency then set in and we only won the game 4-1. It might be an opening victory but I told my players I loved the 1st half performance but hated the 2nd. They reacted well but we'll see in the double header v Andorra in June. Earnie is God!
Title Run-in It's going to be a very close thing this season. No fewer than 5 teams have a realistic chance of winning the league. Injury time equalisers against us in our last two games have annoyed me but we are still there, fighting. If we can win at Leicester and beat Chelsea, I fancy we'll do it, but if we lose both then our chances are gone.
Earnie is God!
I don't think that round of results could have gone much better tbh We beat Leicester, Spuds and Man City lost with Chelsea and Man U only drawing. Could we do it? Big game v Chelsea next and we've never beaten them at home
Earnie is God!
I knew it had to be too good to be true. First, our youth intake arrived and it wasn't looking as great as was advertised a few months back. Certainly doesn't seem to be doing exactly what it said on the tin, that's for sure. But the main problem is that, after I clicked on the player top of the list, the game froze and it's been like that for more than 5min now, stuck on the screen above. Looks like I may have to restart the game, no idea how far back my last save was, prob quite a few games. Will give it a few more min but can't see it fixing itself 😨😟🤷♂️
Earnie is God!
I waited another 5min, tried clicking on a few things, but still no luck so had to reboot it. Turns out it was only two games ago when I saved it last so not too bad but I doubt we'll get the same luck with the last round of games where we won and nobody else in the chasing pack did but there's nothing I can do about that unfortunately. Just have to do it all again!
Earnie is God!
First hurdle down but every other fecker won too so we are a little worse off. Onto the Leicester game but before that, I received this... Nice but not my main goal, we want the title!
Earnie is God!
Title Run-in (take two) compared to take one... This time we drew at Leicester (after throwing away a 2-0 lead 😒) so we now have the same points we had the first time before the game crashed 🤷♂️ Yet again the chasing pack stumbled and the table looks like this... compared to take one... Chelsea and Man U are 1pt worse off, Man City are 4pts better off. Our lead is still 7pts and there are 3 top teams with a game in hand. It's roughly the same. Just hope it doesn't crash again on me so am going to save it now just in case. Edited August 1, 2020 by Earnie is God!
Earnie is God!
Youth Intake (take two) Weirdly, this time around we supposedly have one superstar compared to take one... I see the same players, same names in there but Marvin Brown looks far better than last time. A bit disappointed then that it seems very random with the potential abilities of players, right up until the day they arrive. I would have expected our youth academy and facilities to be the main factor in how good they might be, not a random number generator 😒
Earnie is God!
Again, not bothered, it's the title we want! Our game v Chelsea was meandering towards a 0-0 draw when, in the 94th minute their CB sold their GK short with a backpass, Murray pounced... and hit it straight at the 'keeper 🙄😟 One more chance in the dying seconds of the game from a corner, surely the final action of the game as we are now over the 4min allotted time... With Man U losing, that's their chance of the title gone At worst, we'll be 5pts clear of Man City with 3 games to go. With just bottom half teams left for us to play, if we don't win the league from here I'll probably have to resign.
Earnie is God!
Having said that, WBA up next for us and they are 13th but our record against them is one of the worst we have against any side No win in the last 8 and you have to go back to the Championship four years ago to find the last time we beat them. Hmmm, we played a 4-4-1-1 formation back then to do the double over them. I'm going to dig it back out of my tactics folder to see if we can make it 3 from 3 using that tactic. Why not? Nothing else has worked since and I've tried 4-4-2, 4-2-3-1, 4-5-1, 4-2-4 and a 4-3-2-1 😲
Earnie is God!
Man City v Chelsea, 3rd v 4th, and anything but a home win and I'll be delighted I thought I'd go and have a watch myself Chelski played an unadventurous 4-1-4-1 formation and it was an incredibly dull first half. Just after the break, Ansu Fati gave the visitors the lead and it remained 1-0 right up until the 95th minute when City managed to equalise. Still, a draw is great for us and Man U losing makes it even sweeter. 7pts clear with 3 games to go; a win over our nemesis WBA will seal the title

Earnie is God!
Early on we were the better side but came unstuck at a free kick, the bane of my FM20 life 😒 but at HT, with Man City losing and Chelsea only drawing, Spurs are now the only side who can catch us That doesn't stop me ripping into the players at HT and they must have listened as we equalised early on in the 2nd half WBA then decided to go attacking and play 4-2-4 for some reason. I thought that would go in our favour but midway through the 2nd half... We are losing. To West Brom. Again. We had our chances in the 2nd half but it wasn't to be, I just can't beat the Baggies 😭 Fortunately, Spuds threw away their 2-0 lead to only draw They remain the only side capable of catching us but we just need 1pt and I'm confident even I can't screw this one up. Earnie is God!
Very tight battle for the other Champions League spots with still any 3 of 5 teams capable of qualifying by finishing in the top four. You'd have to say that Spuds are virtually there due to their better goal difference but I've never seen as close a finish as this in my life tbh Final fixtures Liverpool are bang in form and I'd expect them to beat Palace. Hopefully Man U lose to drop out of the top four. Edited August 3, 2020 by Earnie is God!
Earnie is God!
Planning for next season continues... Unfortunately, he has a few issues I think I'll pass even though he'd come very cheaply. Besides, we don't need another striker. Great to see our players recognised for their excellent performance last week Let's hope we can take that into the final game and also next season
Earnie is God!
We raced into a 3-0 lead at already doomed Cardiff but then took our foot off the pedal and allowed them back into the game. A few harsh words and we were back from cloud cuckoo land and ran out 4-2 winners. Villa failed to match what they achieved in real life in the EPL and that was to survive on the final day of the season. Both they and Watford have gone down, thanks to a Wolves win. 85pts for us in the end and we won the league by 9pts, pretty comfortable in the end. Earnie is God!
Very pleasing to see five of our players in the team of the year and that new striker Gaissmayer was 2nd only to Haaland in the scoring charts. My main difficulty this season was to get a good partnership going between Gaiss and Murray but I think I've found the answer now, playing Gaiss as an IF out wide on the left. He's performed well out there in the few games I've used him and he's begun training as an IF too.
Earnie is God!
Season 2032/33 Review No surprise that Gaiss was named Fans' PoTY. Renyer's goal was a 30yd free kick, pretty decent. Nice to see the board give me a lot of leeway with the club vision and expectations but I only removed 'sign 1st team players to 4yr contracts' as I think 4yrs is a bit much and not every player likes to sign for that long. A bit surprised to see they only want top half again next season, the same as what was required this campaign. But then they also expect us to qualify from our CL group which doesn't really make much sense. I guess it's a roundabout way of saying they want me to prioritise the CL over the league 🤷♂️ But I'll be going for both, just don't tell the board 🤫 If we can also finally get a good run in one of the domestic cups, that's a bonus, but I think that's a bit much to expect tbh

Earnie is God!
I think this is just about the final upgrade we can do but am glad to get it done And, due to us selling around half a billion pounds worth of talent, our wage to turnover ratio is right down the bottom of the list again Right, that's me done for the day. Earnie is God!
Well, that didn't happen. However, I'm off today for the first time in 8 days so am getting some games in. Not played in over a week! Summer 2033 and I'm not thinking of buying anyone really. We do have a 20yo CB joining us on a free next week... But unless we lose players to other teams, I'm going to try and stick with this squad. We did win the league with it after all. Rejecting decent offers like this becomes easier when you are doing so well A small boost but hoping for more with a good run in the CL The board do seem very willing to help and this will be even higher this season as we move into our new stadium in a couple of days Fixtures have been released and I'm pleased with how they have come out I'm also quite pleased with the expectations as we are predicted to finish 6th

Earnie is God!
First pre-season friendly and a very comfortable win over Cardiff I've been trying out a new formation and, albeit just a friendly, I think it's fair to say that any tactic that produces 50 shots and dominates with that much possession is promising. Meanwhile, our chief scout retired and these are the applicants for the job Eight of the eleven who applied are already employed by us. I actually really don't like all your own staff appearing on these lists, it's quite annoying tbh. But what I do like is how this has highlighted just how great a recruitment job we did getting these guys into the club in the first place. I've offered the job to 20-20 ENG, which is real life Huddersfield scout Chris Baker who is excellent. Now I'll have to find a replacement for him so it's a bit of a merry-go-round but there we go
Earnie is God!
We really could do with moving up this table and fast! A 6th place finish is predicted. We'll see how we go with our now settled squad. Good to see our two strikers being fancied for top goalscorer Community Shield v Liverpool and it was a pretty decent performance and our first bit of silverware of the season; hopefully more will follow Competition review and expectations. Almost £700m in the bank and I've not spent any of it New stadium and our opening game is expected to be a full house of 35,000 v Palace It didn't quite go to plan as they equalised late on but it's something to build on for us A healthy jump in season ticket sales So after drawing with Palace, we faced our nemesis WBA Can we beat them for the first time in years? No, no we can't No idea why we fail almost every time we play them. They aren't any good really but they have a hold over us. Ah well, onwards and upwards. Really looking forward to the CL draw and hope we get a relatively easy group.
Earnie is God!
I swear the game does this on purpose So yet again we can lose to WBA 🙄 Champions League draw hasn't been that kind but we'll give it our best Moving up in both of these but have a long way to go still Nice to be in this list too but miles behind the big boys OK so the transfer window has closed Just the one buy for us and it's a good 'un His attribute analysis reminds me a lot of what Raheem Sterling looks like in his prime so to get this kid for £30m is a bit of a steal tbh. And we need something tbh because we've made a poor start to our defence of the title Edited August 19, 2020 by Earnie is God!

Earnie is God!
Oh my God, we finally beat West Brom! League form has been poor though with a number of late goals conceded which have really pissed me off 1-1 v Palace, 87th min equaliser for them 2-1 defeat at WBA, 87th min winner 1-1 v Spuds, 94th min equaliser 1-1 v Fulham, 96th min equaliser Been better since then though and let's hope that continues We suffered from late goals conceded last season too so need to keep an eye on that. Earnie is God!
World Cup Qualifying - Down to the Wire?? After drawing away to England, I sort of knew it would come down to the final game, at home to our near neighbours We went from this to this and then this Final match then and a very nervous one at home to England. Earnie is God!
No kidding... After a tense first half, it was goalless but just after the break, disaster... Not saved by VAR either On the hour mark, things were looking a little brighter though We had the upper hand and were playing well Needing the win, I was delighted when we then took the lead But just 5min later, England drew level And, try as we might, that's the way it stayed But every cloud...
