Earnie is God!
Summer Transfers 2037 I'll come back and edit this post when we make more moves in the market but we've already moved on some players already. Saita, who was away on loan at Eibar last season, has moved permanently to Italy. I did have high hopes for Colin Collins but he's no Jordan Jordan and the offer from the Mackems was too good to turn down. Asikhia is an English youth international GK but nowhere near the first team, Knowles' progression at CB wasn't quite as much as I'd have hoped for so he's gone too. White was a youth intake from last season who was always just going to be a bit of a money maker. We do have a slight issue with a lack of Home Grown players and moving these on hasn't really helped but I'm sure we'll get by. I've also decided to sell 7th choice striker Brown; was never really getting much of a chance here and the £27m+ offer from China was excellent business for us The 3 kids we've signed so far have all been here training for a while now, waiting until they turned 18 to sign contracts. Not sure exactly how they'll turn out but they are virtually risk-free gambles I've offered a contract to 31yo RW Rios, who was Man U's star player last season and I think had the most assists in the league. He's a free agent, only wants a squad player status and should fit in well. He's a model professional too so that will help with mentoring the youngsters We're also signing another kid next month He has very good physical attributes already and works really well within a team. I have high hopes for him too Edited October 31, 2020 by Earnie is God!
Earnie is God!
McKenzie doesn't want to join Real Madrid thankfully Rosi turned down a whole host of other clubs to join us. It's going to be another great season, I can feel it
Earnie is God!
Can't complain about his debut We are the pre-season favourites to retain the title too Although McKenzie, top scorer in the league for the past two years, isn't favourite to make it a hat-trick

Earnie is God!
Not long until our new stadium is ready either We started the season with a Super Cup loss to Bayern Munich but we were pretty comfortable until we went down to 10 men and then struggled a little But we bounced back by thumping Narrich 8-0 and then Villa 5-0 Champions League draw wasn't bad Still nowhere near the top sides but we are getting there

Earnie is God!
A quick update with Wales and qualifying for the World Cup. We were unbeaten in our campaign, going into the final match away to Portugal. They were unbeaten too. In fact we were both on the same points with the same record A draw would have been enough for us at their place and that's what we got Turns out both of us have qualified but it's great to have won the group Edited November 6, 2020 by Earnie is God! Earnie is God!
Whoop! That'll help with gaining new gate receipt records like this What will also help is going on long unbeaten runs too We couldn't shake Liverpool though as they just kept on winning too 1,000 games at one club, not many managers can say that Of course the FM gods decided to play nasty and we suddenly had all 3 of our strikers out injured Just in time to play Liverpool away 🙄😒 But we scraped a late draw at their place to remain top by a whisker We followed it up with a 4-0 win over Cardiff. Our current run is 33 games and that's where I've saved it and closed the game down for the night Let's hope it can continue through December and into the new year Edited November 6, 2020 by Earnie is God! Earnie is God!
Overall right now Our better H2H v Juve means we've won the group regardless of what happens in our final game v Shakhattack. Here are all the groups PSG are out already and Bayern, our only defeat this season in the Super Cup are in a spot of bother too. Earnie is God!
♫It's Christmas Time, There's No Need To Be Afraid♫ But afraid is precisely what I was when we faced up to Arsenal on Boxing Day before having to travel to Everton just 2 days later. Injuries have hit us hard and we are down to the bare bones, with a number of youngsters having to be included in the squad for one or both games. The match against the Gunners didn't seem to be going our way when we had two goals disallowed early on. Thankfully the GeistMeister, our only fit striker, gave us the lead on the half hour mark but The Arse equalised from the penalty spot on the stroke of half time. Geist continued his return from injury with another goal after 62min to make it 2-1 in our favour before we had yet another goal ruled out and I was wondering if we'd end up paying for it. 2-1 is how it remained until injury time when it went a bit crazy! There were three more goals after the 90min mark; fortunately, they were all in our favour and we ran out rather flatteringly 5-1 winners Top scorer McKenzie came off the bench for the last half hour and played on the left wing; with Everton around the corner, those minutes will do his fitness good. Geist ended up with 4 goals in the game but may have to make way for McKenzie due to fitness as he'll only be 85% fit for the match, as will most of our players. Liverpool won too of course and they hold a slender advantage over us at the halfway stage. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas your typical Liverpool/Man City title race. And this will mean nothing if we don't win the league

Earnie is God!
Liverpool dropped points in their next game, drawing at Chelsea, so we had the chance to regain top spot with a win on Merseyside. Typically, it wasn't to be and we suffered our first defeat of the season. So much for being invincible 😟 Although it's no great surprise that Everton are doing well, they have a master in charge Edited November 6, 2020 by Earnie is God! Earnie is God!
Ballon D'oh! Earnie is God!
We bounced back from our defeat at Everton by taking it out on Colchester in the FA Cup But we then lost for the 2nd time in the space of a week on Merseyside when we went down 1-0 to Liverpool in the 1st leg of the League Cup SF. Still, it's not an important competition for us. Sure, I'd love to win it all but it's the lowest priority right now. The league is the main thing and we dominated the game at Man U But surprisingly, it wasn't the biggest win in a big game on the day If we can keep close to Liverpool and then beat them at our place in March to go top, I'll be happy
Earnie is God!
We lost at Arsenal Still, it's not bad. We're still on course for a club record points haul. Earnie is God!
We gained revenge over Liverpool for the 1-0 1st leg loss by blitzing them 3-0 And we'll play Chelsea in the final after they walloped Man City 7-1! Not sure what's going on with Man City. They have a great squad but that's the 2nd time in 4 games they've conceded 7. Unbelievable, Jeff!
Earnie is God!
January also means transfer window and, as usual, we have clubs coming in for our best players and offering ridiculously low amounts, like this one I mean, seriously? His value is £66m for starters and he's 1st choice for us. Who in their right mind would think that an offer of £27m [plus £9m] was going to tempt me? Idiots, honestly. Earnie is God!
We've traded top spot with Liverpool over the past few weeks but a slip-up v Man City allowed them to have a slight advantage over us. This week has been a reversal of fortunes, however, as we thumped Cardiff 7-0 and Liverpool only managed a draw at Dirty Leeds They still have that game in hand though so we are going to have to beat them at our place next week to give us a real chance. Before that game is the small matter of the Carabao Cup Final against Chelsea this weekend. In the CL, we shocked Barcelona in front of 127,000 fans at the Camp Nou Lionel Messi Park, a stadium they built in honour of their hero 5 seasons ago. We came away with a mammoth 4-0 victory to take into the 2nd leg at home; at least that's one game coming up that I don't have to worry too much about. It certainly wasn't your typical 4-0 drubbing but we took our chances and they failed to convert theirs

Earnie is God!
Cup Final. We took the lead but then this happened Eek! Chelsea equalised in the 2nd half but I changed to a 3-5-1-1 formation and we sneaked a later winner

Earnie is God!
We then dropped points with a 0-0 draw at Chelsea and Liverpool went top again. Once more, we went down to 10 men and it was that man Christensen who saw red (he seemingly has a problem playing Chelsea). Then Liverpool blinked and it was advantage us again Arsenal aren't completely out of it yet either but it'd be a shock if they won it from here
Earnie is God!
Champions League draw wasn't too kind but there are only the best teams left in and none were going to be easy And the Dortmund game will be yet another landmark for me Four English teams in the final eight but that would go down to just the one after the QF So now we face Juventus in the semis for the chance to play either Bayern or Valencia in the final Edited November 10, 2020 by Earnie is God! Earnie is God!
Youth intake was supposed to be rubbish this year but we did unearth one little gem. According to my coaches, he's the best we've produced in a long time, if not ever He obviously needs to work on quite a few things and I'm trying to get his bravery up to start with, then will move on to his speed
Earnie is God!
We've made the biggest loss in the league this season but that's mainly down to the stadium expansion, and the high wage bill here of course. We'll be making money again next season though, that's for sure
Earnie is God!
Wales - World Cup and Nations League With the World Cup looming around the corner, I need to finalise my initial squad before narrowing it down to the final 23. A few players are coming through but not many so I'm expecting to see many familiar faces for the tournament in the summer where we will face Iran and Morocco in our group. The draw has also just been made for the Nations League and I think we've been a bit fortunate with our group for a change Of course the Dutch will be tough but we've had two top nations to compete against in previous tournaments so having just the one gives us a small chance of actually winning our group
Earnie is God!
A rare 0-0 draw for us but we'll take that from Italy and rely on our excellent home form to see us through to a 3rd successive final! And that worked a treat as we ran out comfortable 2-0 winners to meet Bayern in the final Just a shame we threw away the chance of remaining 5pts clear at the top with a shock 2-0 defeat at lowly Narrich 🙄
Earnie is God!
Job done! Although this achievement is wrong, we've not won 3 in a row yet! Earnie is God!
Ouch! Earnie is God!
FA Cup Final Dirty Leeds stood in our way of a league and cup double, effectively a treble if you include the Carabao. With top scorer McKenzie having done very little for weeks now, and our results not exactly being great or emphatic, I did take the risky step of dropping him for the final. I also changed the formation and went with a 4-5-1 with IFs supporting the striker. We took a 1-0 lead into HT and then a quickfire double inside 3min at the beginning of the 2nd half had us in complete control at 3-0. Or so it seemed. A penalty gave them a way back in and another late goal made it 3-2. But we held on to lift the trophy for the 3rd time in 4 seasons Edited November 10, 2020 by Earnie is God! Earnie is God!
The achievements are definitely screwed up because I've not been awarded the 'double' one either for winning the league and cup double. I've done this too but not had it either I was thinking about continuing for one more season to make it 20 seasons at one club but not sure I'd even get this Plenty to think about but first we play Bayern in the CL final. Will consider my future after that Edited November 11, 2020 by Earnie is God!
Earnie is God!
The game itself wasn't that exciting, as tends to be the case when two massive clubs play in a final I suppose, but we came away with the win thanks to an early goal Last season we won the EPL, CL and Carabao. This season we've gone one better and won the FA Cup alongside those 3 too Six trophies in a season is enough, isn't it? Hmm, maybe do that final 20th season but with an entirely different formation or something. I've been designing a 3-5-1-1 tactic and used it occasionally during games this season so might give that a go for season 20. It still needs a little work here and there but at least it would make it interesting. Either that or spend really big on the best World Class talent I can find and try to break 100pts in the league and all sorts of records. Meh, I'll sleep on it. Earnie is God!
World Cup 2038 - South Africa Ah yes, the vuvuzelas! How we all miss those, right? Right? 😏 28 years after last hosting the World Cup, South Africa are back to welcome one and all to this one. Qatar are involved in the opening match and go down 10-0 to Croatia and follow it up with a 6-0 defeat to hosts SA. Groups only have 3 teams, remember, with the top 2 progressing to the last 32. England stuffed Venezuela and drew with the USA to qualify.Ireland have drawn with Mexico and just need a point v Senegal to progress.Norn Iron have won their group with victories over Chile and South Korea; very impressive.Scotland... oh wait, they didn't qualify for the tournament 😁 We thumped Iran 5-0 and they then lost 4-2 to Morocco in their 2nd game. This means we've qualified and only need a draw against Morocco to top the group. Should we avoid defeat and finish 1st, we'll play either Tunisia or Colombia in the last 32; Ukraine have already won that group by beating both of them. I guess most results so far haven't been too much of a surprise although not all. Argentina slumped to a 3-0 opening defeat against Denmark and will need to beat Congo to get through. Belgium lost to Costa Rica who lost to Nigeria so now the Belgians have to beat Nigeria to leave them all on 3pts. Goal difference may then decide the positions. Most of the big teams are through to the knockout stages though. Edited November 13, 2020 by Earnie is God!
Earnie is God!
