Earnie is God!
Murray finally got his wish to move on to pastures new If I'm sticking with the same formation, I don't really need to bring in a new 3rd striker. However, I've been toying with a 4-4-2 in pre-season and so might need another forward and have been tempted with this top player Bayern have been trying to prize away my best AM £151m is a lot but we don't need the money
Earnie is God!
Let me get this right. They have accepted an offer from our U18 team, they are considering an offer from our U18s and we've also made an offer with our senior team, right? Erm, what? Earnie is God!
2 hours ago, Earnie is God! said: However, I've been toying with a 4-4-2 in pre-season And after all of that, I've decided to ditch those plans and try and have some fun with this tactic by knap. I have no idea how it's going to work but the games should be full of goals, hopefully most of them for us I didn't use it for the Community Shield, I went with my own 3-5-1-1 but that wasn't going that great so switched up to the 4-4-2 I'd been using and we ran out 5-2 winners
Earnie is God!
1st game with the very attacking tactic and the number of chances created was crazy. We walloped Leeds 6-0 but I can see us conceding a fair few against better opponents. Will stick with it though. The wingbacks are going to create and score loads with this. Gotfred on the left and Christensen on the right with 3 goals between them this game. Let's see how many they'll get by the end of the season. My money's on Gotfred being our Player of the Season 😏
Earnie is God!
We then lost the Super Cup 3-2 to Man City and were exposed far too many times. Hmmm, maybe don't use it for the big games or perhaps tweak it for those Edited November 14, 2020 by Earnie is God!

Earnie is God!
We dispatched Benfica with ease and now will play Valencia in the QF and, should we progress, will have to beat either Arsenal or Real Madrid to reach a 5th successive final We've also set a new record run of unbeaten games in the CL and have since extended it further by one Edited November 19, 2020 by Earnie is God! Earnie is God!
Our league form is still strong whilst Liverpool have faltered recently. It means we have a healthy gap at the top although we can't get the magical 100pts We can still eclipse our 93pts of last season though

Earnie is God!
Champions League QF and we are in trouble, going down to 10 men in Spain and losing 3-1 to Valencia. It's going to take a heck of a lot for us to overturn it but overturn it we do Of course after such a fantastic turnaround, my AssMan must wish to depart some wonderful words to the team at the final whistle, right? Stupid FM!!! Of course, I choose a far more appropriate response... And we play Real Madrid in the semis Edited November 19, 2020 by Earnie is God! Earnie is God!
I might be leaving at the end of the season but couldn't resist agreeing to sign this guy. Look at those 20s! 👀 With a week off before the CL final, I thought I'd arrange a friendly to keep our players match fit. Fortunate that I did as I then noticed the option to use it as a testimonial for our long serving 33yo Welsh GK Rhys Jones Plenty of ex-players agreed to play for us, although not so sure on this guy Still, we started with all of them in the side, even him In a surprisingly tetchy affair, Ajax had two men sent off and we ran out comfortable winners And, as should happen in testimonials, I made Jones captain for the day and subbed him off in the last few minutes so he could appreciate the adoration of the fans Edited November 19, 2020 by Earnie is God! Earnie is God!
Last signings and they are real good 'uns Some stats before I resign. We ended up the most reputable club both in England and Europe. Not bad for 20yrs' work from nothing Also the richest club in the World; surprised to see Spal in 2nd and Forest there too?? Still a long way to go in terms of global brand and turnover though This 20th season's fixtures Lastly, our final league standing along with our record in the EPL and CL
Earnie is God!
I'm going to resign now and fast forward a season, then maybe 5 seasons then 10 and possibly 20 to see how they are doing.
Earnie is God!
A few staff members left with me and the frontrunners to take over my role are... The Valencia boss has done great for them but please, not Pogba! Turns out it was none of them, Luis Enrique got the job instead and I'm pleased with that It's not a quick process to get through so not sure I'll do 20yrs in the future or even 10 maybe but 1 and 5 for sure
Earnie is God!
So, apart from the players I signed, Dronfield have brought in a new LB, a backup GK and a young AM. They've sold off a number of youngsters as well as a couple of fringe players. On top of that, GK Jones has gone to Rangers so just as well I gave him that testimonial before I quit Fast forward to the end of January... Dronfield go top of the league and here are some others from around the World Dronfield signed a backup RB in the window and loaned out some squad players. Champions League going well End of season next... League and CL double. Very nice
Earnie is God!
Oops Wales did OK though, reached the QF before losing to Scotland (?!). The Scots got through to the final before being thumped 4-0 by England
Earnie is God!
Season 2040/41 Dronfield signed a youngster but sold a whole host of talent; I'm a bit concerned Jobson left on a Bosman, World Class CB Barry went, as did The Geistmeister, the superb youngster Zola and Russo out on loan Onto January... No more players signed, a couple more loaned out. Still, it doesn't seem to have affected them much I removed some of the other leagues to speed things up, left it with the 'big 5' Ole back for a third, no doubt another unsuccessful, stint at Man U End of season... Another title for Dronfield and into a CL final v Barcelona but it's going down to the wire in Spain, Italy and France Juve eased home and PSG squeezed in too Barca won 1-0 after extra time Edited November 20, 2020 by Earnie is God!
Earnie is God!
Season 2041/42 Another season without any signings, and more players sold Not so dominant in the league so far this season, and no surprise End of season... Six titles in a row but it was very close. Sadly, knocked out in the CL by Valencia at the QF stage means no 8th successive final for Dronfield. Beat Liverpool in the FA Cup final though, a nice domestic double Ortega with 2 goals, I said he was a beast, just look at his numbers! If Dronfield keep on selling all their assets, there won't be a 7th title in a row, that's for sure.
Earnie is God!
Season 2042/43 🤦♂️😨🤬😲🤦♂️ They sold superstar Ortega to Bayern, not impressed. Although they have spent big on two new players and they are excellent I'll continue tomorrow
Earnie is God!
Ole sacked 🤣 Dronfield not top at the halfway stage 😟 I failed to notice a new man at the helm after Enrique jumped ship and moved to Valencia For some reason, Dronfield have 5 games in hand late into the season Looks like 2nd place is most likely. A loss in the EFL Cup final to Chelsea and knocked out of the CL by Bayern, it's not great. But an FA Cup final appearance awaits, that's something at least A home defeat to Leicester in the penultimate game of the season cost Dronfield the title but they did beat City in the FA Cup final
Earnie is God!
Season 2043/44 Can Dronfield regain the title? Will they have yet another new manager? Will they continue to sell off all their talent? Well, I can answer the last question with an emphatic yes One gone and another 3 on their way Thankfully, only one of them left and they signed a rather average looking replacement This is their current lineup Very pleasing to see the likes of Williams, Watson and Somolani coming through. Watson was the one kid in our youth intake a number of seasons ago that I said was probably our best ever. January and nothing really happened in the market but there is a development abroad. Here is a list of Ligue 1 winners over the years... And here's the current table Is it possible that PSG's dominance is broken, even for just one season? Fast forward to May 11th and the last week or two... Dronfield regain the EPL (and through to the CL Final v Liverpool), Bayern and Juve win their leagues but it's a battle between Real and Barca in Spain and Troyes are holding on desperately in France! Can they do it? Yes! Barca pipped Real too after the latter lost on the final day CL Final and Dronfield were dominating but had to come back from a goal down, with this being the winner Yeah, I have no idea why someone who was in charge for 20 years would turn up to see this game Stupid FM! Earnie is God!
Season 2044/45 Typical Spurs, bottling it PSG made it two years in a row without the title as this time Lyon finished above them. Last season's shock winners Troyes finished down in 7th. Dronfield lost to Arsenal in the semis of the CL but the Gunners were beaten by Valencia in the final. Earnie is God!
Season 2045/46 Dronfield have spent big in the summer but I'm not impressed. 5 defenders coming in but only one of them is any good. A 35yo backup GK and £104m spent on a very good midfielder but not worth £100m+ 😒 Still, let's hope they can help win another title. Man U sacked another manager and this is the new guy *chortle* They are languishing in 14th place at the turn of the year; Dronfield are top ...and another title Barca and Bayern win theirs, PSG stumble yet again allowing Lyon to win their 2nd title in a row. Meanwhile, Italy goes down to the final day where AC Milan are looking for their first league trophy in more than 20 years And they do it with a solid away win. Juve down in 9th! CL and Arsenal yet again beat Dronfield in the semis and this time go one better by beating 10-man Bayern 3-1 in the final.
Earnie is God!
OK, that's 8 or 9 seasons done and Dronfield are still a major force, I'm pleased to say. I'll probably skip forward to 15 or 20 seasons and then take a quick look at what's been going on
Earnie is God!
So what's been happening in recent seasons? Ole has been back to Man U for a third time, and subsequently sacked again Lampard became England manager and led them first to success at the Euros in 2040 and then they also won the World Cup in 2042 so I guess that was only 74 years of hurt in the end He resigned straight after that and went on to manage Dortmund, and now at Leipzig. Barcelona legend Xavi is currently in charge of England, who retained their Euros trophy in 2044 too, very impressive In Spain, no surprise that it's been mainly Barcelona and Real Madrid but Valencia have sneaked a title in too Bayern continue to dominate in Germany; Dortmund the only side to have stopped them in 27yrs of FM, on 3 occasions Over in Italy, there have been no fewer than 6 teams to have won Serie A: Juve, Inter, Lazio, Napoli, Roma and AC Milan PSG's dominance is over in France as a run of 18 in a row was ended by Troyes! That was 3 seasons ago and Lyon have won the two since then [edit: make that 3 in a row for Lyon now] In 2047, Xavi left his role as England manager after winning the Nations League to take over at Barcelona (about time!). The reason this job opened up is because Rakitic left Barca to join Dronfield when Gallardo retired after 6yrs at the helm Man U have gone through more managers than most in recent seasons. Bartosz Bereszynski (??) is the latest to try and win them a trophy for the first time in about a decade English clubs have won 4 of the last 5 Europa Leagues After leading Lyon to 3 successive Ligue 1 titles, manager Gerardo Seoane moves to Valencia in 2047 and guides them to a whopping 103pts! They are also in the CL final against... Dronfield Lyon don't seem to be missing their old manager though as they record a 4th straight league win, 16pts clear of PSG with a game to go Dronfield beat Valencia 3-0 to win their 6th Champions League trophy 2048 and England win a 3rd Euros in a row; can't seem to stop them now That'll do, 10 seasons in the future is enough. I'll end this with some screenshots
Earnie is God!
Final season transfers and good to see the Dronfield tradition of producing players with a "so good they named him twice" being continued. After previous academy products Collin Collins and Jordan Jordan, we have Fatai Fatai 😁 Excellent and sustained success The World's best facilities A gazillion trophies, right from the bottom to the top McKenzie with 163 league goals, by far the most for us... and plenty of other records Premier League and Champions League winners
Earnie is God!
To think how far we have come, from the bottom of the 10th tier of English football right to the top of the World and to sustain that for another decade, it brings a tear to my eye I can tell you. I started this back in April, more than 7 months ago. I chose Dronfield in honour of my mum who had passed away a few days earlier. If she was still alive and knew about this, she'd probably just look at me funny and think I was mad and she's probably right 😏 In the beginning, our stadium had just a 500 capacity, our bank balance was £168 with a wage budget of £92/wk. Our squad was valued at £617 and we had 12 season ticket holders. In the end, we had a 52k stadium, more than £700m in the bank and wages of £5.58 million a week. Squad value = £2 Billion with more than 44,000 season ticket holders. I've thoroughly enjoyed this save but it's time to move on, perhaps in more ways than one. Just one last thing to do...
