Consistancy of attendance was great couldn't really have asked for more, ok I was late twice before you lot dive in and slag me but gives a break if rangers won the league i'd have been playing the game alone on sundays. Gaz has proved the most consistent manager, staying with gretna and promotion 3 years on a row and now in the SPL, will his luck continue or has he ran out of vikings to buy ? Only one players so far in 3 seasons has had to take the II penalty that being Tom, who would be higher up the rankings but points are results if you retire. a few players have been sacked but found jobs, me included, but Ric some how manages to know when the right time is to leave and find a new club. Alexis or Fresh, has started well, winning Div 3 on his 1st outing but can that continue. Tracy finally left albion due to lack of funds. Bod now at Queens of the South has the job of fixing the mess i made of the place, but hey they have tons of cash in the bank, and anyway serves you right ! So the game now has 3 players in the SPL, 3 in the 1st and 2 in the 2nd. 3 new rules in place for Season 4, no declaring interest in human jobs and no nicking youth from human players, unless you've asked them first and and they agree. All players are expected to now post at least 2 updates a season in thread. Full rules and more in the clan webby roll on season 4..... Lambie\'s Lovechild
Things to do in Dumfries when youre Dead Brechin 0 - 0 QoS QoS 1 - 0 Clyde Falkirk 2 - 0 QoS QoS 0 - 3 Ayr United Stirling 1 - 3 QoS A mixed bag of results this sessions sees the Doonhamers sitting 3rd and only 2 points off table topping Ayr after 4 games. A sore defeat in the LC Cup to The Honest Men, and a 2-0 defeat to the Brockville Bairns being the only blemishes on the session. Some new faces coming in over the summer , Baltacha from East Stirling on a bosman , Correia from Brechin for £10k , and Jon Perry from Reading on a Bosman , to strengthen a constantly evolving team lineup. Gary Toner
Gretna hits the dizzy heights of the SPL Little old Gretna in the SPL, we must be dreaming but no it is reality however there is also the reality that trying to persuade the calibre of players needed to survive in the SPL that their future lies at Gretna isn't all too easy. I spent most of pre-season in hotels around Holland, Scandanavia, America and Brazil to little or no avail but they were some light at the end of the tunnel as we managed to freshen up the squad perhaps not too much but it is a start.
Date Person From Fee 2.7.2006 Wyness, Dennis Hearts Free 13.7.2006 Zwikker, Björn Emmen £35K 19.7.2006 Beto II Free Transfer Free 20.7.2006 Vágner Leonardelli CFA £24K 28.7.2006 Kristjánsson, Sverrir Free Transfer Free 14.8.2006 Bodnár, László Dinamo Kiev £160K 19.8.2006 Stenild, Kenneth AaB £50K Total £275K
We will continue to monitor the transfer market throughout the course of the season and if anyone is available that take our fancy we will make a move for them as we have the funds available. Seasonal expectations as always are not high from the boards point of view as they expect us to battle relegation, myself well as you know by now i have higher expectations and i'm looking at not just surviving but making an impact as i believe we have the depth and talent in squad to do this and as we are the underdogs we hope to take teams by suprise when they under estimate us. The season kicks off that see's us entertain Celtic at Raydale park we couldn't have asked for a tougher game to welcome us to the SPL but we are going to relish it. Results
Raydale - Gretna 1 - 0 Celtic Cameron 24 Raydale - Gretna 1 - 1 Hibs Cameron 84 Houston 90 Starks - Raith Rovers 0 - 0 Gretna Pittodrie - Aberdeen 3 - 0 Gretna Mackie 66 Johnson 86,90
Pretty much a mixed bag of results as you can see, a fabulous win over Celtic and two draws later Gretna were brought back to earth after being demolished by Aberdeen however that won't demoralise us and we will look to make amends in the forthcoming games. Lambie\'s Lovechild
Doonhamers Boss in Shock Resignation Palmerston Park was stunned today by the departure of manager Stevie McGuinness. Citing "Personal Reasons" , McGuinness announced he would be leaving the club with immediate effect, no other party was involved, and he wished all those associated with the club the very best for the future. Frankie 7
Caley Appoint News Manager Inverness Caley thistle this week appointed a new manager in the hope to lift them out of division three. The man who has the task is Frank Robertson,a young up and coming manager who the board say has the world at his feet, and will lift this club to where it belongs. His first game was against East Stirling, and after a great start, where 2-0 up till caley keeper,Grant Morrison made a catalogue of mistakes to hand victory to the home side,East Stirling winning 5-4. after a dull 2-2 draw with leaders Montrose,It was up agaisnt Premier league Raith Rovers,in the league Cup 2nd round. And a superb 4-2 victory has started to see Caley on a run of 4 games unbeaten.6-0 victory over Stirlin Albion,4-0 over Morton, and 4-3 victory over Dumbarton, lifts Caley into second place. frank Robertson has added young defender Calum Hardie, and young midfielder Micheal McGlinchey to bolster the squad for the season ahead, although Robertson hands will be tied behind his back with no funds available to buy new players in January. Stephen Wilson
New Manager At Firs Park East Stirlingshire have appointed Stephen Wilson as their new manager in an attempt to get promotion as the board felt a new approach was needed. Wilson's career started with an entertaining 5-4 win against Caley Thistle. Wilson then went on to win another 2 of the next 4 games. However East Stirling sit 7th after 10 games and promotion doesn't look to be an achievable aim for this season.
John Paul Remington
Sorry to see you go bod, but these things happen all the best mate. Clan had a good night last night, but one small problem, pc crashed during final save, corrupt data. Had to load a rotated games save, so we've probably lost the last 2 matches we played last night. Unfortunate but if I hadn't been rotating saves we would have had to start the clan over from the beginning. So we're 8 games into season4 rather then 10. cheers Iain
John Paul Remington
Back to basics for the city Brechin have had a so so start to the season, nothing to get the fans hope up for. The club are finacially sound, and heading the right direction off the park. On the park though things are different. The club bounce from one game to another with no real direction and stewart has been forced to go back to basic, and with some 1st team players putting in some very poor performances, youth is getting its chance, with a few players drafted in from the under 19's to give some competition. Will Stewart get it right or do Brechin look forward to another season in the 1st Division.

John Paul Remington
The Season So Far With 15 games of the season gone, Brechin find them selves sitting 7th in the 1st Division, having spent most of the season in 10th and 9th, a steady up turn has be witnessed in their fortunes. Stewart has gona back to basic and made the tactics simple for his players, this they seem to have responded. but will it last ? Rebuilding has begun, with a number of players being shown the door as they simple dont cut it and will not feature in the the plans of manager Stewart, also with the players leaving and a few contracts renewed Brechin find them selves in a much better shape financially than at the start of the season. Thing are looking positive at the moment and if there playing performances keep up, a safe mid to top league finish should be well with grasp. Gary Toner
While hte gypo's continue to well gypo, Gretna's fairytale rise to the top half of Scottish football's elite continues on in style. With so much to play for this season it was imperitive Gretna got in to a good consistency and tried to pick up points on the road while being hard to beat at home, however no where in my wildest dreams did i suspect that half way through the season and we would be sitting 2nd although there is a long way to go i'm pretty confident that we will finish in the top 6 atleast which would be a fantastic achivement for this small club from down south. Session wise it went pretty well except for the token defeats against the old firm and a slip up against Montrose in the league cup. Cameron and Oskarsson have found their form again after a slow start and Gretna are looking good. The rookie has turned this team around and they are now top of Scottish Third Division. Ian Harty,Scott MacClean, and Chris Hay are all chipping with the goals.MacClean topping the scoring charts with 25 goals already this season.

Gary Toner
Having played just over half a season Gretna could be on to achieve the impossible, a place in Europe. Currently sitting top of the SPL although Celtic sitting in 2nd 1 point behind have a game in hand the Raydale park outfit are performing beyond theirs and their managers wildest dreams. The league is not a certainty at the moment but if Gretna continue to play in the fashion they have done then these relegation certainties will surely finish in the top 6 and possibly grab a uefa cup place at the very least. AndyJ
Raith Update Raith have been playing very well lately which means they now have a chance of winning the SPL, however any one of 4 teams could still realistically win it. We are currently 2nd in the league 3 points behind Gretna, and 1 point ahead of Celtic who are in 3rd place. Latest Scores Raith 3-0 Brechin (SC) Rangers 2-4 Raith Kilmarnock 1-5 Raith Dundee 1-3 Raith Hearts 2-4 Raith (SC) Raith 4-2 Gretna Raith 5-2 Hibs Raith 7-0 Livingston Celtic 1-2 Raith Gretna 1-7 Raith Raith 4-0 Aberdeen Dundee Utd 1-0 Raith Raith 2-0 Hearts Dunfermline 1-1 Raith Top of the Table Gretna 63 pts +41 Raith 60 +31 Celtic 59 +14 Rangers 56 +9 Top Scorers Sutton 25 Namouchi 19 Igor 9 Torry 7 Peers 5 Top scorer John Sutton will miss the rest of the season with a broken leg after the Gretna players targeted him during a recent cup match. This has seriously dented Raith's title hopes with only 6 games left and with league games against Gretna, Celtic and Rangers still to play this year's league finale could well be the most exciting in history. John Paul Remington
Brechin PLay out Remainder for Pride[/] With promotion a distant memory for Brechin manager Stewart and his team are simply playing for pride and preperation for the new season. Weakness's in the side are being identified and new players are being sought to strengthen the side, and some exsisting squad members are going to have to prove there worth is they want a new contract. Stewart grows a little more impatient with the Board at Brechin as they refuse to move the club forward to match his ambitions, with money in the bank, Stewart is looking for some investment in the club to take it forward but the board seem in no hurry to match his ambitions.
Ross County 5 - 1 Brechin Armstrong 36,65,72 Gillespie 55 Thyer 75 Huton 86 Clyde 2 - 4 Brechin Gilhaney 59,66 Heenan 45 Gillespie 50 Vieirinha 84 Fagen 90 Alloa 2 - 0 Brechin Vareille 38 Johnston 63 Brechin 1 - 0 Falkirk Gold 29 Queen of the SOuth 1 - 2 Brechin O'Hara 73 Vieirinha pen 57 Gillespie 26 Brechin 2 - 0 Peterhead Heenan 35,62 Partick Thistle 4 - 2 Brechin McBride 7 Heenan 19 Magill 9,45 Gillespie 53 Murray 81 Brechin 1 - 0 Albion Rovers Gillespie pen 86 Ayr 4 - 1 Brechin Ramsay 39 McAdam 45 Kean 58,74 Conway 62 Brechin 2 - 1 Ross County Gillespie 7 Keldie 36 Heenan 61

Gary Toner
With only 6 games left in the current campaign, Gretna are within touching distance of achieving the seemingly unachievable. 6 games to make or break Gretna's season, however many plaudits will say whatever happens Gretna can look back on this campaign and hold their heads up high although Toner will settle for anything less than the league title and a crack at the Champions league next season for his minnows.
