stabwest
what did you think of the gig? personally i though it was nothing special only playing two track from pre-californication era that didn't help either , they seemed to have forgotten there older stuff plus the fact on you couldn't buy drink at the gig, unless you stayed outside at the bar. last year was better in Glasgow by miles but on the brighter side at least James brown wasn't playing phew
quote:
Originally posted by AlexisManson: Sorry I missed last session, I was at the Red Hot Chili Peppers concert

John Paul Remington
yeah Frank you'll get a clan ranking, I base my clan ranking on games won, cups won, leagues won, and manager of the month awards. Divisions don't matter yes you have better oponents but you should have a better team. Wouldn't worry to much anyway Gaz has ran away with this game and he should be untouchable now with the amount of cash that should be coming to gretna now. website redesign on the way soon as well. cheers

Gary Toner
Gretna do the unthinkable and claim the Spl Title from Celtic at Parkhead despite a heavy defeat on the last day of the season. Gretna who made history for being the first side to climb from the 3rd to division to win the Spl in 4 seasons, which meant continuous promotions with 3 league titles out of 4. The season has been brilliant from the Raydale park's outfits point of view who can't quite believe what they have achieved but the tiny borders town of Gretna will celebrate into the morning. Toner had earlier spurned advances from the Rangers board over taking the vacant managerial post and cynics now believe he has proved he was right to do so. John Paul Remington
Scots Sunday Clan Update With Season 4 done and dusted, Season 5 is upon us and about to begin. All is going well in the clan, and we're back up to the ten player limit at the moment with the new players settinling in well and getting some great results. Gaz has made himself pretty much untouchable in the game winning the league and entry into the money pot that is the Champions League, but in game terms we have managers scattered across all 3 divisions with makes for good competition. Phone Rings "Yello, Simon Lynn here....Oh Hi Rune Hauge, didnt expect to hear from you after all, you are still owe me 50k for that transfer you know!!" A hush falls over a crowded hall where all the top press in Scotland have gathered, one photographer called Ross Turpie has already been ejected due to eating all the pies at the main table...... Simon Lynn walks proudly in and sits at the head of the table next to the Motherwell Chairman and five men in plain black suits with shades and calculators in hand.. "Firstly let me thank you all for comming here, I am proud to announce that I, Simon Lynn have been appointed the new Manager of Motherwell FC. I am glad i have been given the oppertunity to work with such a club and I believe a can turn this club into a top 6 SPL club, no problem.... The Chairman coughs and then continues to smile ...The players this club has to offer are of outstanding talent... Once again the Chairman coughs ....And the money the club has availible should be enough to bring in a few players a like to bring the quality of the squad up to scratch.. The Chairman keels over.. One of the black suited men approaches Simon Lynn.. "Hello Mr Lynn I'm Agent..erm I mean MR Smith, I work for Cowboy, Robb & Steele Recievers. Sandokan
Stirling chairman is a drunkard, that's the reason why he decided to employ Sandokan (Stefano) as the new manager for his mighty team. I was in a pub downtown when I saw a man lying down on the floor, he looked at me, he offered to me some on his half whisky bottle and he told me something like this: Hi guy what you're doing here all alone? You're not drunk like me... came here I show ya something interesting... We went out and and he took me to a training ground... That's my team fella, that man doesn't like to drink very much, I think I'm going to sack him. I want you to take over. But one condition: you must be completly drunk like me now when you train the team and during the league games! Sounds good I said, and what about cup games? The same, always drunk you get me? Sure, let's go for some other beers, I'm a little thirsty. After a couple of weeks the season started: no many new faces in the squad due to the lack of funds, won the first cup game vs Morton, lost the second vs Brechin. In the league 2 won out of 3 with 1 loss. I think my players also needs to drink a little before the games, I'll try to take them in a pub next saturday morning then I'll see. John Paul Remington
Well Season 5 has begun, Stewart still has next to no money to spend and the lack of movement in the transfer market shows that. However all that aside Brechin have made a fairly decent start to the new campaign and a decent run in the Challange cup to keep things very happy with the Board and the fans, however this may not last as Stewart has made it very clear, either show ambition and back him, or he'll take the 1st SPL offer to come his way.
League Challange Cup Elgin 1 - 3 Brechin Cameron 72 Gillespie 2 Heenan 50, 52 Scottish 1st Division Brechin 0 - 2 Ross County Robsob RED CARD 45 Williamson 59 Robertson 90 League Challange Cup Stirling 1 - 2 Brechin Rennie 84 McAdam 74 McMenemy 87 Scottish 1st Division St Mirren 1 - 1 Brechin Thompson 66 King Pen 54 Brechin 2 - 0 Falkirk Vieirinha 10 Gillespie 77
AndyJ
It wasn't a very busy pre-season as only 3 new players joined the club. The fans were shocked when club captain Stephen Pearson left the Raith to join the Premiership, however the money was needed and will be used to strengthen the squad before the window closes. Various youth players who couldn't make the grade were also realesed from the club. Players In Hamed Namouchi 40k from Rangers Jim Goodwin Free from Livingston James Jowsey Free from Portsmouth Players Out Stephen Pearson 2.1M plus 20% future fee to Tottenham After just missing out on the Champions League last season only a few quality players are needed to turn Raith into real championship contenders. Financial problems no longer trouble the club after the big sale of Pearson but these problems could return unless we reach the Champions League next season or have a decent Uefa Cup run. We are currently waiting on a work permit for Jose de la Cuesta but I am not hopeful of getting it. Latest Results Raith 5-2 Hibs Peers (12) Blackadder (44) Igor (45, pen78) Torry (90)---Brown (31) McManus (59) Killie 2-2 Raith Di Giacomo (9. 15)---Goodwin (4) Sutton (16) Celtic 4-7 Raith Larsson (8,22) Mora (15) Petrov (47)---Namouchi (2,68) Igor (9, 53, 66) Sutton (20, 50) Overall a good start to the season, our gung-ho tactics would mean we will always concede goals but as long as we are scoring plenty I don't mind. The signing of a quality defender such as de la Cuesta might tighten our defence a bit more, if this happens I am sure we will be challenging at the top of the table when May arrives. Gary Toner
Another season, A new dawn as Gretna's fairy tale title win is now history as they go into the new campaign as the side to beat, the team with the bullseye on their backs. The Old firm and Raith are hurting after last season and will look to make amends by punishing Gretna this season but Toner won't sit back and vowed to come out fighting to defend their championship. He has also made moves in the transfer market by caputuring some decent players. I've tried to restore the game in a number of ways but nothing is working, so in effect its all over. As it stands my plans are to put the clan in holiday until FM2005. All exsisting clan members who want a place in Scots Sunday FM Clan will have 1st option, as it stands we have 12 members. I'll start on a new website for the new game and draft new rules. I'd appreciate clan memeber input into this decision, but really i can't bring myself to start over as we've been playing for so long now. anyway I'll be sending out email shortly so all keep in touch and I'll update the thread again soon cheers all. John Paul Remington
lo Frank everyting will be taken on board, but i had 3 save game files. There all knackered which is mad. I've had one file corrupt before but I went back a save and everything was cool. Just one of those things, I'm gutted more than anyone as i've put a fair bit of effort in getting this clan off the ground and the members have put more than their fair share in. I know FM2005 is a fair bit off but really i can't bring myself to look at starting it over, it just to much. I'm defo bringing the clan back for FM2005 and all exsisitng players will be asked 1st and trust me there wil be plenty back ups made of this one. To be fair to a lot of people are losing interest in cm03/04 most players know off Diablo and the rest the best players to buy etc Most of the long term members are now awaiting FM2005. I know i am. I'll keep thread updated about whats happening and i'll be making a new clan webby, all i can do is apoligise for the sudden end. cheers Iain

John Paul Remington
Clan Announcement ok after a long holiday and a relaxing time the Scots Sunday Clan will be back with its lower league challange, yes boys and girls back to no money and bargin basement hunting, the run down stadiums and 10 angry fans. With FM2005 out in November the clan will start back up official after xmas probably end of January. I'm holding back the clan start to get any patches or updates that may be released into the game before we start. All exisiting clan members from the last game can will be recieving an email shortly to ask if there interested in playing in the new game, if we have less than ten I'l be opening up the game to new blood, which is another reason for the delayed start. Between middle of November and xmas I plan to run some fun games, to work out the best settings to run the game etc and to try out new blood, if all exsisting clan members are playing then I feel we have a solid base that would be foolish to disrupt with bringing in untested players. If new players are to be brought in I'll be advertising in the sticky on this forum and in FMscotland. So if any exsiting members have change email address please mail me your new one, my email is in my profile or catch me on msn more updates shortly, then I'll start a new thread for the new game. cheers Iain

I'll check all my emails tonight that I've recieved and I'll post an updated list of players, but looks like Me Gaz Davie Frank T Ric Allan Andyj if your not on the list and emailed me, send me another, or if your in the spanish game let me know thursday. I'm once again taking the game to a max of ten for the first season. Kick off will not be until January as I'm awaiting the patch / update and for those nice folks at telewest to give me another free upgrade on my broadband, ( 750K to 1meg free ) So updates coming soon, and I'll be looking to get our official Clan status back cheers Iain
John Paul Remington
Clan Update Emails are out and a start date of the 9th of January 2005 has been stated, but I'm still awaiting one or two reply's. Andyj and T if you can get in touch with me as soon as possible, with a yes or no, that would be great. I also need a contact email from you T. So far the Clan has 7 players. Allan Wills Sav Ric Gaz Davie Steve McWee and Me if the other 2 take their place that gives us 9 and thats idea as we can then leave Gretna out of the draw for the teams which would keep thing on a level playing field. I'll be looking to distribute the teams by the end of this week to give us a chance to play some and get used to your squad.
