le_crab
Has anyone failed whilst managing Celtic? I've just started a save with them as I am just returning to FM after about a 5 month break and feeling a tad rusty.

Koennn
Celtic is by far the strongest in the league so it shouldn't cause you too much trouble. The challenge lies in European football but even if you fail there, you probably wouldn't get sacked.
QWERTYOP
If you fail at Celtic, time to try a different game.
RonnyDonny
What do you consider failing?
DizzyPenguin
What do you consider failing? Only winning the league by 20 points or less and having to win the Scottish Cup on pens.
Andy H
Anything less than trebles is failure in my eyes. Progression in the champions league is the toughie.
steff91
i agree with the laste few posts, you would really need to be bad at FM to fail/struggle with Celtic.
Bluebird123
I don't think FM is the game for you if anyone struggles with Celtic. I managed Hearts for 3 years, finished 2nd twice and 4th once (first season) won a few cups but could never topple Celtic, they'd always win the league comfortably. I went on to manage Celtic two years later and I could see why I couldn't get anywhere near them. They are richer, stronger and have a much better set up than any other club in Scotland. Add the Champions League money you get you get a budget which will surpass the total SPL spend in a transfer window. So yeah, if you fail with Celtic then you are just terrible at the game. Having said that, Hearts ALWAYS go on to dominate Scotland in every single one of the long term saves I've attempted, no matter where I manage. ozzyoscy
In around 2025 in my FM 07 (so long before Celtic had their real-life monopoly), Celtic won the league by 30 points and were the only team with positive goal difference. :/ *slightly related cool story bro*
