Makoto Nakamura
FC Santa Claus (abbreviated Santa) is a football club from Rovaniemi, Finland. The club was formed in 1993 following the amalgamation of Rovaniemen Reipas and Rovaniemen Lappi football clubs. Home matches are played at the Saarenkylän tekonurmi or Susivoudin kenttä in Rovaniemi. FC Santa Claus won its group in Kakkonen, but lost promotion play-offs final to HIFK and failed to gain promotion to the Ykkonen league in 2010. Rovaniemen Reipas (RoRe) were the more successful of the two founder clubs, playing 12 seasons in the Kakkonen (Second Division), the third tier of the Finnish football system in the periods 1978-81, 1984–89, 1991-92. Rovaniemen Lappi (RoLa) played 3 season at this level in 1987-88 and 1992. The merger consolidated FC Santa Claus as a Kakkonen club and they spent a further 8 years at this level until they were relegated to the Kolmonen at the end of the 2000 season. The club gained promotion from the Northern Finland (Pohjois-Suomi) section of the Kolmonen in 2008 and are currently playing in the Kakkonen again. The club won the Midnattsolscupen (Midnight Sun Cup) in 1994. Third career lucky, with it being that 'special day' I can't think of any better club than FC Santa Claus! I'll be using it as a Youth Only Challenge and hopefully I can get into this one and make it last and take Finland to the top as traditionally in my saves they always languish between 170th - 200th in the NT Rankings. Makoto Nakamura
Meet the team! First thoughts, we are going to be leaking loads and loads of goals, and also that we have loads of quite weak strikers! Best Players: Thankfully our GK is one of the top 3 players as I can see him having a very rough season...

Makoto Nakamura
2012 Youth Intake One thing I do know with the newest patch is that the Youth Star ratings are apparently bugged? But Matti Juntunen is the best of the bunch.
Makoto Nakamura
FC Santa Claus - Kakkonen Lohko Pohjoinen - 2012 League Table League Positions Graph With it being the first season I didn't know what to expect, the media had us down to finish 6th, we would've finished in the top 3 but we lost the last 4 games of the season making us finish in 7th. Suomen Cup - A good win against Kuusysi but TP-47 proved themselves to be too good for us. Squad - Loads of attacking players we could do with more Midfielders & Defenders though. Finances - A boost from the board kept us above the red for this season. Key Players: Raphael Edereho - Top scorer this season and quite good all round. Jerry Bjorkberg - Only 19 and was the only player to get in the division team of the year. Season| League | Position | Suomen Cup | Achievements | -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2012 |Kakkonen Lohko Pohjoinen | 7th | 5th Round | |
JackJCFC
Interesting career choice. Always enjoy reading a youth challenge and Finland is a rarely managed in country so should be a good one. Decent 1st season, very close so not too much ground to make up.

Makoto Nakamura
25th September 2013 Another bad intake and I don't know if it's to do with the bug or if they're just that bad.
Makoto Nakamura
FC Santa Claus - Kakkonen Lohko Pohjoinen - 2013 League Table League Positions Graph An improvement on last season, hopefully next season we can take the extra step in a promotion. Suomen Cup - Out in the 4th Round this time being beaten by BK-46. Squad - The squads gotten a bit smaller and a couple of younger players are coming in now. Finances - The board put £140K in to boost the finances (and my junior coaching) to keep the club in good stead. Key Players: Ville Maatta - Solid and worked well in the center of the park. Mika Hanninen - Finished as the top scorer with 8 in 17. Makoto Nakamura
A good read, as expected. What happened to your Go Ahead Kampen save? I just wasn't really enjoying it in The Netherlands, plus I saw FC Santa Claus on Soccer AM last Saturday and really wanted to see what they were like. Makoto Nakamura
I actually have a Youth over 1 1/2* PA! He's 6'7" and has great Natural Fitness & Jumping so he should be good in the air, we also have our first Englishman to come through.
Makoto Nakamura
FC Santa Claus - Kakkonen Lohko Pohjoinen - 2014 League Table League Positions Graph An inconsistent season as we drop back down to 7th, again we got up to 3rd before losing it twice.. Suomen Cup - Got to the 5th Round again but losing on penalties to PK-37. Squad - The squads getting bigger again and young Tuomas Lindholm (YP3) already has 2 appearances for the first team.. Finance - The board didn't put any money into the club this season, hence why we're now £51K in the red. Key Players: Antti Enbuske - Highest rating at the club and is still very young so hopefully he can do better. Mika Hanninen - Made the league team of the season even though he only played 12 out of the 18 games, he's hit 30 now but hopefully he can spend atleast 1 season in the Ykkonen! Youth Players: Matti Juntunen (YP1) - On loan to lower league side FC Muurola making 3(7) appearances and scoring 2, but only getting an average rating of 5.95. Arttu Vikman (YP2) - Played in the U19's made 9(2) appearances but got a lowly rating of 6.39. Tuomas Lindhelm (YP3) - Probably the only Youth that has any chance, 5* rating now and already starting in the first team. JackJCFC
That guy should be a beat in defence. Not doing too bad so far in the league, nice to see some English blood coming through.
Makoto Nakamura
Both players are good enough to play at this level, may be good enough for Ykkonen.
Makoto Nakamura
FC Santa Claus - Kakkonen Lohko Etela - 2015 League Table League Positions Graph New league, better result, finishing 3rd although we could have been 2nd as we tied on goal difference with 2nd and had the same number of points, but we scored 2 goals less. Suomen Cup - Lost in the 4th Round 6-5 on penalties to PK KU. Squad - The squads getting better and we now have more potential in the team as it gets younger. Finances - The board put another £140K in but we still finished in the red, we really need to get promoted pretty soon. Key Players: Markus Pasoja - A good young player, in the first season he started in the U19's so wasn't through any Youth Intake and he played every game this season and got the highest average rating. Mika Hanninen - Yep, it's him again! He may be 31 but this year he set the record for most assists in the 2nd Division with 11. Kakkonen 4 groups of 10 teams 18 games - Teams play eachother twice Ykkonen 10 teams 27 games - Teams play eachother 3 times Veikkausliiga 12 teams 33 games - Teams play eachother 3 times Plus a maximum of 7 Suomen Cup games makes the league go very fast, especially when you have a computer as quick as mine! Thanks b101, I'll try to get as many season done as I can before I go back to school on the 7th, it helps that competitive league games are only from late April - late October! Makoto Nakamura
The youth is definitely getting better now, and D® is probably our weakest position which means Samuli will go straight into the First Team.
Makoto Nakamura
FC Santa Claus - Kakkonen Lohko Pohjoinen - 2016 League Table League Positions Graph The tightest league I've been a part of, 1 point between the first 4 and the top 3 tied on both points and goal difference! Suomen Cup - Out in the Fourth Round again.. Squad - The squads very good now and I'll definitely be hioping for promotion as I think we are finally good enough now. Finances - The board pumped even more of their money into the club putting our balance £79K into the black. Key Players: Tuomas Lindholm (YP3) - What a great season, capped by the U29 National Team and got the best average rating for us, a very, very bright prospect. Raphael Edereho - At the age of 33 I thought his best was over, but he decided to go and score 17 goals in 18 games which is 9 goals more than his record of 8! gogogo golem
Just read this and it's great. Makoto Nakamura
Probably, yes, although I can't see that happening for a very long time, I'd say go as far as possible with the club and then manage club & country simultaneously. Makoto Nakamura
FC Santa Claus - Kakkonen Lohko Etela - 2017 League Table League Positions Graph Another 3rd place finish....surely we have to get promoted soon? Suomen Cup - Managed to get through to the 6th Round where we lost to MYPA 5-4 on penalties. Squad - The squad is still getting better but it looks more and more like we may never get promoted. Finances - The new board keeps pumping in the money, but the Youth Setup is pretty much taking it all away. Key Players: Tuomas Lindholm (YP3) - An even better season for Tuomas getting more U19 caps and 5 PoM awards in 14 games. Tomi Nyakenen (YP4b) - Also been called up for the Finnish Under 19's and was our top scorer. Makoto Nakamura
FC Santa Claus - Kakkonen Lohko Etela - 2018 League Table League Positions Graph Typical, we lose 1 game all season and we beat the previous record of most points in this league with 41 points...yet we finish 2nd as Klubi-04 get 44 points. Suomen Cup - 2 penalty wins put us into the 6th Round, where we lost again. Squad - The original players are really aging now but that's okay since they're being replaced by better youth players. Finances - Board putting in more money to keep us going and no coaching upgrades this year. Key Players: Tuomas Lindholm (YP3) - 3 U21 caps now, and 6 PoM awards his defending kept the goals conceded to a very low level. Tomi Nyakanen (YP4b) - Top scorer again with 11 will need a 2 striker formation now thanks to Jari so hopefully there will be a great partnership. Samuli Rautio (YP5) - 2 U21 caps and got a rating of 7.53 which is great.
