Gonna go with Glen's all-at-once idea, but I'll also be randomising the priority order at the beginning of every turn, otherwise the same old people will be faced with going last every turn, which, especially after promotions/relegations are becoming important, is a huge disadvantage. This will not be revealed until the whole lot is posted though. If you have been beaten (in purchasing) by someone in front of you in the priority list, you'll be PMd and can change your position.

No problem at all; consider them purchased. This means we can roll on with the first quarter of the season, for which I'll be preparing the update this afternoon.

Once done, I'll run through the new format for the next turn and then we can crack on with that.

Barclays Premier League

As the only businessman currently in control of a club in the Premier Division, we will begin with Aidan Galashan. His Blackpool side have started reasonably considering their stature, picking up 4 points in their first two games; a draw at White Hart Lane, and a 3-1 victory at home to Wigan. They then proceeded to lost their next four games, leaving them a place above the dropzone - which for now is a respectable position. However, owing to the fact that Villa and Man City are two of the teams below Blackpool, expect this to change! They were also knocked out in the League Cup 3rd Round, by Preston. Blackpool spent £3.2M on players, the highest fee being £1M for Pedro Morales, and recouped just £275k, on Jason Euell. However, their value increased - a fact likely to please Galashan.

npower Championship

Continuing with Aidan Galashan, we look at Norwich. They currently occupy 4th place in the league - a very good start in their first season back at this level. They were knocked out of the League Cup by Wolves though. As far as transfers go, they didn't spend or earn any money at all, a couple of free transfers arriving as fringe players was all that happened for them in the summer window. Their league position resulted in a small increase in value.

Moon McNamee now, the owner of Millwall. They sit in 16th in the league, but like Norwich, were victims of Wolves in the League Cup. £180k was spent on the Forest man Garath McCleary, but other than that, only loan players from the Premiership were brought in. Millwall were another club who gained a small amount in their value.

Moving on to Arthur Bach and his Derby County side. County have had a storming start to the season, and currently top the pile in the Championship, although this is slightly dented by their penalty loss to West Brom in the League Cup. No money was spent here either, with Derby's great form down to the manager and the same crop of players from the previous season. Their value has stayed steady though, despite this.

Mike Jablonski's Crystal Palace have also started well, and sit 5th. Alassane N'Diaye was sold to another Championship club for £1.2M, and that money was largely spent (£950k) on buying new players, the highest profile of which is Spanish full back Juanma. Palace were not at all up for the cup, losing in the first round at Port Vale, but their wise transfer spendings and good start to the season see them rise in value by almost £2M.

The next club we are going to look at is Kieran Hayden's Swansea. The Swans have had a poor start to the season, and sit second from bottom after ten games. They spent £400k on an already decent squad, which was also bolstered with the loan signing of Man Utd's Chris Smalling. However, this was seemingly not enough for the team, who were also knocked out of the League Cup at home to Brentford. Despite the poor fortune, the club's value has increased slightly; something which will take the edge off the disappointing start for Hayden.

Long Tym Toon was playing catch-up after having to pay £10M in taxes at the start of the season. This was not aided by his side, QPR, depreciating in value by £1M. Rangers sit 14th after a fairly mediocre start, and were knocked out of the League Cup by Sheffield Wednesday. No transfers were made, but they do have the arrival of Tommy Smith from Portsmouth on a permanent deal in January to look forward to.

Stefan Guillermo put £5M from his own pocket into his club Nottingham Forest at the beginning of the season, and it has seemingly begun to pay dividends. The club sit 8th in the league, and were only narrowly defeated by Norwich in the League Cup. None of the newly invested money found its way to manager Billy Davis however, who spent only a small fraction of the money brought in by the sale of McCleary on the young Israeli Samuel Scheimann. Forest's value has appreciated though, by £3.25M, but this does beg the question regarding what has happened to the rest of the money.

Reading are one of two clubs owned by Coach Crane, and they sit in 21st, just above the drop zone. They are, however, into the fourth round of the League Cup, where they will play Wolves. No transfers were made by Reading, and a notable decrease in value is probably down to their poor start to the season. Things are looking a little brighter for Crane's other club, with Preston sitting 10th after having been predicted a tough season. They are still firing in the cup, where a potentially lucrative trip to the Emirates awaits, and have increased slightly in value. Again, just as with much of the division, the club was very quiet in the transfer market.

Leicester were recently bought by Uncle Scrooge, although he didn't live up to his name with the Foxes spending a massive £4.3M in the transfer window. Aided by the £4M sale of Jack Hobbs to Birmingham, players such as Alassane N'Diaye, David Edgar, Adam Hammill and Kostadin Dyakov were brought in to the club. The side sit 9th in the league, and are still going in the League Cup, with a fourth round tie against Bristol City to look forward to. Their value decreased ever so slightly, but this was more than likely down to the transfer spend. With a healthy bank balance himself, things are looking very bright indeed for Uncle Scrooge and for Leicester.

Sergio Gonzalez is the owner of Cardiff, a club who have remained at exactly the same value. They sit a disappointing 19th in the league, and were ripped to shreds by Burton Albion (4-0) in the first round of the League Cup. No major transfers were made, either in or out, and it has not been the best of starts for the Welsh side.

Symon Krajnik saw his Scunthorpe side slip down the finances table, but won't care a jot following their solid start in the league. The Iron sit 11th, and although they have been knocked out of the cup, look like they will be able to achieve a solid mid table position this season. The only major transfer made was that of James Brown from Hartlepool, for £450k, and it is likely this had the biggest impact on the club's finances.

Lionel Agurre's Middlesbrough lost £5M when one of their board members fled with the money, but that hasn't stopped them starting well in the league. Boro sit second, just a point behind early pacesetters Derby County. They were beaten on penalties by Reading in the League Cup however. A successful use of the transfer market for manager Tony Mobray however saw the likes of Zsolt Lacczkó and George Elokobi brought in, as well as signing the likes of Bébé, Kyle Naughton and Junior Stanislas on loan. Boro have lost value, but not as much as the £8.3M lost on transfers and to the boardroom traitor, however.

Abdul Al-Salami owns two clubs, and neither are doing particularly well. Coventry sit 17th in the league, and Leeds United at the bottom of the pile. Both are out of the league cup, but interestingly, both increased in value. Cov brought in Seamus Coleman on loan, and United brought in Kyle Walker on loan. It's been a slow start for Al-Salami's clubs, but despite the club's footballing performances, he will be pleased with their performances on the stock market.

Hull City are owned by Phill Ewles, and have started well, sitting in 3rd in the league, and awaiting Tottenham Hotspur in the League Cup. This was achieved without manager Nigel Pearson feeling the need to strengthen the squad, but somehow Hull's value has dropped alarmingly. Their finances may be dire, but Ewles will not care if they are able to bounce straight back up into the Premier League.

And finally, we come to King Tikki-Man, the owner of Bristol City. City are only 18th in the league, but are into the League Cup 4th round, where they will play Leicester, and are £10M better off thanks to a private investor. Only £1M of this was used to buy new players, with Isaiah Osbourne and Gary Roberts coming into the club. This leaves Leciester, and Tikki-Man, some money to play with.

How the next round will work:

1 - I will post a list of everyone's dice rolls here, and instruct you as to whether or not you have the option of an event.

2 - You will all send me a PM back telling me firstly whether or not you'd like to take this option (should you have it) and secondly if there is anything you'd like to do on your turn. These include:

- Buying and selling of clubs to the AI at face value. Only one purchase can be made per turn, although as many sales as you wish are allowed.

- Buying and selling of clubs between players at an agreed value - of course you will need to copy me in on any email here.

- Sacking/hiring of managers

- Putting money into the club

- Taking money out of the club (this will result in you being unable to purchase the same club again for 3 whole seasons following the time you sell it)

3 - I will select the next order of play in a random draft (kept private) and PM those back who are no longer able to do things like buy a specific club, as somebody higher up the order has already done so.

4 - Once this is all sorted, the quaternary update will be run

Another thing to note (applies particularly to Long Tym Toon right now):

If you are personally in debt, you will be forced to pay 25% interest per turn on the amount you are currently in debt by. This will take place every turn that you are in debt, apart from the turn you actually go into the red. In Long Tym Toon's case, this means he will begin paying more money at the end of this turn. To get out of debt, if you are in it, you have the option of selling clubs, making money from events, taking money from the club (which you can not put into a negative bank balance by doing so), or by taking a loan from the CSE Investment Bank. At this time, the bank will only allow loans in order to get out of monetary troubles, and will not sanction loans explicitly in order to purchase clubs. Loans are typically 15% APR.

I will be uploading screenshots of the Premiership and Championship shortly, as well as a list of the positions on the board all players are at.

NEWSFLASH

An as yet unnamed consortium of businessmen has tabled an offer for Sergio Gonzalez' Cardiff City. Gonzalez rejected the offer, denying that his club was up for sale. However, there are reports that the consortium are seeking FIFA approval to force the sale through, citing the facts that their offer is very reasonable, and Gonzalez does not have the means to run the club well, as their reasoning. FIFA have yet to respond.

Moonshine hasn't been online for a fair few days so I'm not sure how much longer until he sees that it's his turn again. I've sent him a PM, but if he hasn't replied or posted by tomorrow evening, we'll continue as if he's chosen to do nothing on his turn. I feel it'd be harsh to dish out any sort of punishment, seeing as this is only the first time, and he's bound to have other, far more important things, going in on his life.

Premier Division

Aidan Galashan's Blackpool Town are by far the strongest side in the division, although this is mainly down to the fact that they are propping up the rest of the table. Four points off safety and at the bottom of the league, it's going to take some effort for the Tangerines to stay up this season. They are, however, still proving a solid investment for Galashan.

Championship

In England's second division, the two automatic promotion spots are held by Lionel Aguerre's Middlesbrough, and Phill Ewles' Hull City. The two are five points ahead of the rest at the moment, and as they are the two clubs causing their owners the most financial difficulty of all businessmen at present, they must both be praying that they stay there. Should either club gain promotion, it will be joy unfounded, as all monetary woes will be cast to one side with the arrival of the honour and riches the promised land offers. Veteran Hull forward Nicky Barmby, after whom The KC Stadium has been renamed, will certainly hope so. The playoff spots are currently occupied by King Tikki-Man's Bristol City, Uncle Scrooge's Leicester City, Burnley, and Preston, belonging to Coach Crane. Moon McNamee's side, Millwall, sit just outside the playoffs at present.

Interestingly, McNamee is one of only three businessmen who's clubs have made a profit this quarter, along with Aidan Galashan (for whom the wealth of both Blackpool and Norwich increased), and Kieran Hayden - although the latter did pump some of his own money into Swansea to achieve this. Hayden's Swansea side are currently bottom, and the only one of our businessmen's clubs currently in the drop zone. However, with the bottom of the table currently really tight, Hayden shouldn't be too nervous just yet.

All our sides are currently still in the FA Cup - by virtue of not having played yet - but only Long Tym Toon's recent acquisition, Portsmouth, are in the League Cup Semis. The story of Toon's purchase of the club is, as with many previous Pompey owners, shrouded with huge controversy. He allegedly took over £6M from his other club QPR to cover both the sale, and his own personal debts. Rangers' fans are said to be furious, and want Toon's head.

There have been a raft of managerial changes. Within hours of one another, Guillermo and Tikki-Man sacked Billy Davies and Keith Millen from their jobs. Theodore Whitmore filled the vacancy at Forest, and Martin O'Neill agreed to make the move to Bristol. Brendan Rogers was sacked after a unanimous vote from the Swansea board, and replaced by Sean O'Driscoll, who was in turn replaced by Phil Brown at Doncaster. Reading decided Brian McDermott had to go, and he was replaced by Paul Jewell. And finally, after Roy Keane was sacked by Ipswich, Kevin Blackwell took the reins at the Suffolk outfit.

After an alleged furious bust-up with his manager, youngster Ashley Palmer has quit Scunthorpe, and is now available on a free transfer.

One final piece of massive news. After requesting a FIFA decision to force the sale of Cardiff City from Sergio Gonzalez, a consortium of businessmen has managed to receive a backing of 11 out of 21 board members, meaning they have forced through a reported £23M sale of the club. Gonzalez, who has seen his personal wealth increase by over £5M over the last half year thanks to his investment in the Bluebirds, is said to be unworried by this, and is seeking a new ownership post.

I'm giving the remaining five of you until 2200 BST tonight to PM me, informing me of your move for this turn. Particularly significant to the three of you still with event opportunities; particularly King Tikki-Man with his vested interest event.

Moonshine, having missed the last turn as well, will be evicted from the sign-up should he miss this, and the next turn as well. As we are still in the early stages of the game, I'd be willing to allow somebody else to take his place should this happen. I'll be sending him a PM to inform him of this in the event that he does not check the game thread before that time.

Premier Division

As ever, we start with England's elite. Man Utd are at the top of the table, as they were last quarter, and with a ten point lead over Chelsea, look like they will, without serious mishap, be lifting the title. Bolton are still clinging on to a CL place, and with a very respectable price tag, some of our richer businessmen may be considering selling their clubs in order to make a purchase. Our only man with a Premiership team at current is Aidan Galashan, who's Blackpool are still clinging onto the field gallantly. With a goal difference in keeping with those around them, and only three points from safety with eight still to play, the Tangerines are still harbouring hope that they can mount an escape. Their value is still rising on account of their great showing in the division, but relegation will surely cause it to plummet, as the likes of Hull City have proven.

Championship

Lionel Agurre's Middlesbrough are still leading the charge for promotion with seven to play, and are four ahead of the competition. They are firm favourites for promotion, but there are four teams not too par behind them - King Tikki-Man's rich Bristol City, Phill Ewles' not-so-rich Hull City, Burnley, and the late chargers, Preston, of Coach Crane. Moon McNamee's Millwall and Sergio Gonzalez' Sheffield United are both pushing Stefan Guillermo's Nottingham Forest for the final playoff spot - and perhaps more.

At the wrong end of the table, Keiran Hayden's Swansea, Scunthorpe - belonging to Symon Krajnik - and Aidan Galashan's Norwich are all in a spot of bother. Will the businessmen choose to cash on on their clubs now in the event that their teams go down and in the process lose value significantly? Or will they keep the faith and stay with their ship? Remember - any club that is relegated from the Championship will be automatically sold at face value.

Cups

The League Cup semis were not a successful adventure for Long Tym Toon's Portsmouth, as they crashed out 3-1 on aggregate to Wolves. Toon will however earn significant prize points from their run, which will surely help alleviate his dire financial situation. Arsenal beat Wolves in the final. None of made it to the semis of the FA Cup - with the furthest round being reached the fifth. Blackpool, Bristol City and Portsmouth all crashed out at this stage.

Managers

Theodore Whitmore lasted not even two months at ambitious Forest, who was sacked midway through February, and replaced after a week with Blackburn assistant Neil McDonald. Whitmore must be wondering what he did wrong, keeping the side just out of the playoff places during his short tenure, and will go back to focussing his sole attention on his other job; the head coach of his home country, Jamaica. Uncle Scrooge's Leicester were not happy with mid-table mediocrity, and sacked manager Sven-Goran Eriksson for staying there. Steve Beaglehole is the current caretaker boss, but Scrooge will surely be mulling over the other potential possibilities before any final decision is made. Liverpool sacked Roy Hodgson after a poor Premiership campaign, and Sam Allardyce is the man they have chosen to take over. Former Blackburn star Alan Shearer has filled the void left by Big Sam.

Mike Jablonski, Arthur Bach and Coach Crane all pick up 10000 points for passing GO!, so please consider this too when you look at your current points total, as it will not be added on the leaderboard until the end of this turn, although you do have it now.

Stefan Guillermo has our first sabotage event of the game. I would like to inform him that these are the most dangerous type of event - some are very good, but there is a 30% chance of getting a negative event, which are very, VERY bad. The advantageous events are also unlikely to win you many friends, either.

Season 1 Special Prize

Yes, there will be prizes available at the end of every year, for the top 3 in the specified category. This time round it is for the Wheeler Dealer of the Year - the player who has earned the most money purely based on increase in value of clubs they have owned (between the times they have bought and sold them, or between the time bought them and the 1st July 2011). First place will be awarded 10000 points and 250 rep for their longest-owned club, second will get 5000 points and 250 rep, and third 5000 points.

@letissierandhenryaregreat - You need to get rid of some PMs; I can't reply to you. But I can post it here: "No, it's the same as any event in that you'll find out what it is straight away. And it won't be posted in the thread; only club and point events are."
