Saving players to a shortlist doesn't seem to be working for me, when I save the shortlist and import it into FM I just get a blank list with no players in.

littleblue to be honest your a legend the new format is pretty amazing ive had no problems what so ever! and to think you do this for free well i for 1 think nexts years one should be a fiver at least!

Probably i fix the problem. I use an old file with the editor when i start the newgame.

I had a problem filtering in the staff search. The attribute filters weren't working form me, even for just a single attribute (in my case, Motivating greater than or equal to 15). Anyone else having this problem?

Keep in mind that FMSX shows the exact values for attributes. In the game we see attributes as a number from 1-20 but in reality the game has the number based on a 1-100 scale and it's just converted in the game to 1-20.

When doing filters you need to use a scale based on 1-100. It may at first be a bit awkward, but you'll soon get use to it. So for your Motivation greater than 15 you would use Motivation > 75 (basically just 5X whatever in game value you want).

Just a side note:

We believe that issues people are having when trying to change things like Chairman or other "people" variables are being caused by large game files overloading some of the button interfaces (pop up menu buttons). So I'm currently removing all pop up buttons. In all cases LB has "pickers" (the little magnifying glass icons) that enable you to edit those fields with a list of new items, so we're not taking any functionality away.

This is going to take a couple of days to complete so in the interim it is highly suggested that when editing (mainly changing) people variables or really any variables where you see a "picker", use the picker instead of the button menu.

One suggestion I do have though: I noticed that you took away the CA/PA columns when sorting through "People", so the only remaining categories are "Name", "UID", and a third I can't recall off the top of my head. Is there any way to restore the PA/CA columns? It made searching through players a bit easier than going through the Scout interface. Of course, this might just be a personal preference for me. In any event, keep up the excellent work!

But as far as I can see when you want to edit in the players section it loads them up one at a time. Would love to see an option where it says load entire first team, reserves , youth. Then all the players load up in a new window in which you can scroll down them one by one and edit for example contracts without having to go back to team , then clicking on another player.

The new version works with the raw data a bit differently. In the old one people were loaded up into an array (which if you recall is why we had that mess when you tried to sort by CA/PA). In the new version everything is dynamic so what you're seeing is right from the file. So it's not like a separate array that you can sort through any more. On a positive side, this new format lends itself to (although this is WAY off into the future) doing real time editing. So for now, if you want to sort players you really need to use the scout since that's really what it's for (searching players by CA/PA, etc.).

LB added the ability to jump from Club to Person but with all the things you can edit with a Person I think it would be really hard to create one window that would contain all the players from a team and allow you to make edits on the players. We certainly would not be able to have all the attributes and even contracts would be greatly limited (just due to screen space).

Someone get a error when you load a savegame at FM11sx? It says that it is a bug, i can edit and stuff, but when i try to use it in the game, it is unable to load. Does someone have solution to this? I have updated to the latest version.

Hi!

First time using FM11SX since FM10SX. I wanted to wait until it was compatible with 11.3.

Anyway. I downloaded RC1, on startup it said there was a new version, so I let it update itself.

So now I have RC2.

Still, when I try to load a save-game I get the "Error Loading LangDB" message, and a few seconds later (wether I press OK or not) FM11SX crashes.

Know how this could be solved? is the problem on my end or should change some settings?

I have unticked "Compress games".

Thank you and thanks for the great work! I love the new design (which is all I've seen so far )!

EDIT:

Did some tampering, went into FM11SXs Preferences, changed location of Lang DB to fm/data/updates/update 1130/db/1130/lang_db.dat

Now I do not get the error message.

When loading, it just crashes at "Loading Surnames".

Sure! Currently uploading to hotfile, will edit this post once done.

It happens with every save game, so uploading the smallest one (first tried it for a 500mb save).

I've now changed the langDB location to apps/games/sports interactive/fm11/data/db/1100/lang_db.dat (Which i'm pretty sure was the default location). Thing is, now I don't get the error message, it just starts loading and then crashes when loading surnames.

Anyway, upload coming in 40 minutes.

Hey LittleBlue, changed the Lang-DB in preference, so no problem there. But in the Editor part I still can't see my reserve/u18 team and on the scout part I can't "save" a list. The lsit always turn up blank in the game. I play with 11.2. Is there any solutions to theese problems?

Just to clarify. The program just crashes. In preferences I changed the location of lang_db.dat, so i do not get that error anymore. Now it loads and then crashes between "Loading surnames" and "loading people".

Tried to change the lang_db.dat, now it just quits straight away.

I use a steam version, not sure if that makes a difference. Do you know what the path for the lang_db should be? as I have found one, but not sure if its the correct one.

If you're using Steam , in preferences place the lang_db.dat in Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/Common/football manager 2011/data/updates/update-1130/db/1130/and choose the lang_db.dat there

- lang_db.dat and game paths are now checked on load

- when assigning a default lang_db.dat path, the steam directory is now checked and assigned if it exists

- all tildes in paths are now resolved on use

well you have 2 options really.

1) Check the first post in this thread where it says "download" for the link

2) Open an old version of FM11SX and click "check for updates"

cool. now when i try to save it it says 'Only non-compressed save games can be saved at the moment' yet i have unticked compress saved games in preferences and have re saved.

- replaced all picker drop boxes with text fields

- fixed a bug where adding a regional division to a club with the picker would show the nation picker

Great editor. I got a problem tho.

As Im using a 13" macbook i dont get the whole screen/window of the editor. A lot get out of the picture.

Is there something to do/thats been discussed before?

As it is now, i dont get to edit all thats possible, even tho i go "full zoom" in editor mode.

Jadedness moves from high negatives to high positives, from what I understand the larger negatives numbers (-100 to -200) usually means that the player has not played for awhile (essentially getting restless and losing match fitness). The high positive numbers are when the player is getting tired from overwork. So, again from my understanding, the best value is 0.

Ok i want to upate fm11sx finally to version 1.0 so if there are any bugs or problems please let me know asap. If nothing deemed a bug is reported in the next couple of days then 1.0 will be final

To be clear that doesn't mean no more work will be done on fmsx but it means the current version will be considered relatively stable and the focus then will switch to adding new features rather than bug fixing.

This will be the first time since fmsx started in 2005 that I've been happy enough with something to consider it worthy of 1.0 so I'm quite happy

Its impossible to edit the details. As hes having two contracts and I cant scroll down to edit the loan contract.
