hrbfcrule
End of Season Report: IK Tord Swedish First Division Elite, 2022 League Table, League Graph Squad We got off to a decent start with only 1 loss in the 1st 9 league games. But we struggled through the middle art of the season, this coincided with Fredrik Karlsson (YP8) going off form. Luckily we didn't damage our promotion hopes too much. In the closing stages we refound some form and 4 wins from 4 in September put is in a very favourable position for promotion. However we always make it difficult for ourselves and proceeded too lose 2 of the remaining 3 matches. This put our promotion hopes in a bit of trouble but thankfully other teams struggled and we even managed to finish top of the table with a measly 49 points. To put the points total in perspective in the past 12 seasons 49 points would have once seen you into the promotion playoff place and all the other times it you would have finished 4th or lower. So we didn't really win the title because we were good but moreso that everyone else was crap. Not complaining though we are into the top tier Swedish Cup Another away draw, making it 7 in a row. Went out at the 1st hurdle 1-0 to Linkoping who are 2 divisions below us. Youth Players (At the Club) Anton Alvefelt (YP1) - Assisstant doesn't rate him but he put in another great season I am glad I stuck by him now because a few seasons ago I was considering selling him. Tony Thoren (YP5) - Another one who is slowly improving, another solid season nothing spectacular. Filip Linder (YP6) - A fantastic season for him, conceding just 20 in 30 games along with 14 clean sheets. Niklas Andersson (YP7) - Only made 1 appearance, only keeping him for back up now. I really need a new keeper soon as Niklas Andersson (YP7) may be on his way pretty soon. Fredrik Karlsson (YP8) - Not as good as last season but still one of our best performers. His importance to the team was exposed when he lost form midway through the season. We dropped a lot of points then but soon enough he was banging them in again. 11 goals from 27 appearances. Fredrik Lundgren (YP10) - Again didn't make an appearance and is about to leave the club as his contract nears its end Stefan Nilsson (YP13) - Our best player of the season according to average rating considering we only conceded 21 in 31 this season you can see why. Anders Svensson (YP16) - Again his goalscoring ability was on show he netted another 3 this season. It may not sound a lot but he was our 3rd highest scorer. Christoffer Zekria (YP17) - Decided not to renew his contract so he will be gone at the end of this season, never really fulfilled his potential despite numerous opportunities. Lars Lundgren (YP18) - Another who is on his way out, wouldn't sign a new contract his reason being that he wanted to join a bigger club. Fair enough I guess. He had interest from League 2 Southampton and others of around that calibre. He then rejected them a signed for GIF Sundsvall the team who finised 13th in the division I'm in. Muppet. Anders Axelsson (YP20) - I said he was the weak link in our defence last season well not any more. He improved greatly and had his best season ever by a mile. Fredrik Berg (YP21) - Again didn't make a start but did come off the bench a few times. Will probably let him see out his contract as he isn't improving. Marcus Johansson (YP22) - He will be leaving at the end of his contract as well. With Peter Jansson (YP33) looking promising he has no future at the club. Mattias Hakansson (YP23) - Has got too big for his boots and requested a transfer. Won't sign a new contract so will leave at the end of the season. I'm gutted as he looked like he would be a good player. Pontus Lagerlund (YP24) - Managed to end his goal drought this season but that was the only highlight in an otherwise poor season. Jonas Widmark (YP25) - Has been pushed out the 1st team a bit by new players coming in but has been reliable when called upon. Joakim Lindqvist (YP26) - Again not great, will be on his way out soon. Jonas Andersson (YP27) - Has held onto his place in the 1st team. Didn't reach the dizzying heights of last season but nevertheless a good season for him. Jimmy Froberg (YP28) - Will be on his way out soon, he just isn't cutting it. Bojan Ohlsson (YP29) - Did well when called upon but due to our very strong defence he didn't get many opportunities. Anton Dahlberg (YP30) - Not as good as last season but a decent performance nonetheless Simon Berisha (YP31) - Only made 1 appearance and didn't do great but he is rated 4* potential so definately 1 for the future. Par Eklund (YP32) - Only 3 appearances but with a fair few midfielders leaving at the end of this season he should get a chance next season. Peter Jansson (YP33) - A good 1st season 2 goals and 5 assists, should be a good replacement for Fredrik Karlsson (YP8) Finances - Only £69k prize money this season but I assume that's because we got promoted so we should ake in the cash next season. Wavelberry
Finally. Weird that you had a near enough similar record last year and didn't get promoted and this year you won it. Let's hope you can stay up.
SnakeXe
Amazing season, and a totally deserved promotion - a low points total just means the league is strong! Good luck in the top flight - any large financial bonuses from being involved like the EPL?
hrbfcrule
Post it in the bugs Flamers will do Well done mate, that's a great achievement reaching the top tier, hopefully you can stay up next season and build on it. Finally. Weird that you had a near enough similar record last year and didn't get promoted and this year you won it. Let's hope you can stay up. Amazing season, and a totally deserved promotion - a low points total just means the league is strong! Good luck in the top flight - any large financial bonuses from being involved like the EPL? Thanks, the tv money is just under double but the main thing is the attendances and season tickets. For example I just played my 1st home game and got a crowd of 3.5k whereas I get just over 1k in the 2nd tier.

hrbfcrule
Preseason Media Prediction: 16th Title Odds: 2000-1 Expectations: Attempt to Avoid Relegation Wage Budget: £16,176 (£7,887) Wage Bill: £3,980 (£2,888) Ticket price: £22.60 (£18.30) Season Ticket Holders: 868 (279) Season Ticket Price: £250.00 (£203.00) Key: This Season (Last Season) The youth academy is almost complete, the cost of it is apparently 450k. Also I got a new sponsorship deal which is twice as much as our last one We say goodbye to Isaac Blixt who retired at the end of last season, he made 246 appearances for the club scoring 13 times and creating 47 goals. He is now an assistant manager/coach but refuses to join Tord . That just leaves Johan Heinonen as the only player who has been here from the very start. The youth intake this year was insane and this was without the youth academy: Matthias Gustafsson (YP34) (DM, MC) - Report - Already rated as highest potential at the club Hakan Larsson (YP35) (DM, MC) - Report - 3rd highest potential at the club Daniel Ung (YP36) (GK) - Report - Will probably mean Niklas Andersson (YP7) will be on his way out Jorgen Melki (YP37) (DM, MC) - Report Only problem is that 3 of them are midfielders Friendlies S.C.Ashdod 3-0 Tord Al-Wahda (KSA) 3-0 Tord Jeju 1-0 Tord The Strongest 2-0 Tord Skijebo 3-2 Tord Forward 1-2 Tord
DSYoungEsq
Told ya you'd do it! Well done! I find it even more amazing since your players are hardly awesome in skill. ArWo
First comment here, awesome story on the way! When it comes to the new youth intake, have you considered retraining one of the new DMs to CB? Their stats look like they should be able to handle it quite well. By the way, how is Djurgården doing? hrbfcrule
First comment here, awesome story on the way! When it comes to the new youth intake, have you considered retraining one of the new DMs to CB? Their stats look like they should be able to handle it quite well. By the way, how is Djurgården doing? I have considered training Jorgen Melki (YP37) to CB the only problem is his lack of pace otherwise he generally looks like a good choice for CB. Here is Djurgarden's League History, they haven't done great. Their best finish has been 3rd place in the Premier Division. The cup has been a bit of a disappointment as well, once reaching a semi final and once reaching the quarters but thats it. Have been in Europe for 1 season and that was in 2013 where they got to the 3rd qual round of the Euro Cup. Amazing stuff on getting to the top! Matthias Gustafsson looks like he could become a star for you! Yes I have high hopes for him, I just hope he is loyal to the club unlike some of my other players. Well done man, good luck on staying up! Thanks Told ya you'd do it! Well done! I find it even more amazing since your players are hardly awesome in skill. My Prestatyn players are better than that, even the ones coming out of the Academy. Yer my players look terrible stats-wise but somehow they keep performing. Did you schedule difficult friendlies for money or were just crap? Not a pre-season to fill you with confidence otherwise. I took Flamers's advice and scheduled friendlies against foreign temas for extra cash. Thats why we got thrashed in the 1st 4. The last 2 were Swedish teams who we really should have beaten. hrbfcrule
April 2023 League: Tord 1-3 IK Sirius A very good performance to mark our 1st match in the Premier Division yet not the result we wanted. The stats were pretty much identical, same number of shot, shots on target, clear cut chances, etc except the one that mattered. We managed to take the lead when Anders Svensson (YP16) headed home from a freekick. But we collapsed just before half time conceding 3 in under 15 mins to effectively end the game. We couldn't come back from that in the 2nd half so ended our 1st match in the top tier with a loss. League: IFK Goteborg 4-1 Tord This could be a long season if we can't even find a bit of luck. Admittedly we were battered for 90 mins but depite the opposition domination they only had 4 shots on target in the whole match. Unfortunately all 4 of these shots were goals . Simon Berisha (YP31) did grab a consolation goal in the 80th min though. League: Tord 1-0 Hammarby Fotboll A win, A WIN!!!! We should have been ahead in the 33rd min when Jonas Andersson (YP27) missed a penalty. But luckily it didn't make too much of a difference in the final outcome because Tony Thoren (YP5) gave us the 3 points when he headed home 11 mins later. League: Kalmar FF 1-1 Tord Woooo more points, well more point anyway. We were pretty damn lucky to be honest. We went 1-0 down in the 16th min and then went a man down in the 69th min when Stefan Nilsson (YP13) got sent off. But in the 94th min Hakan Larsson (YP35) scored a deflected freekick to recue a point. League: Malmo FF 2-0 Tord I was bricking it for this match as I knew Malmo were a relatively decent side (as in I had heard of them before I started this save). My fears were confirmed when they quickly went 1-0 up. We regrouped well and held on till half time. It all went pearr shaped in the 2nd half when Anders Svensson (YP16) and Anders Axelsson (YP20) both got sent off, in the 58th and 62nd mins respectively. We hung on for dear life hoping for just 1 chance to steal a point, that didn't come and Malmo killed the game off with a 2nd goal in the 84th min. hrbfcrule
May 2023 League: Tord 0-3 Gefle Another battering, not much more to say really. League: Djurgarden 0-1 Tord Shock result \o/. We kinda deserved the win as well, Fredrik Karlsson (YP8) scored his 1st of the season just past the hour mark to seal a surprise win. Inflicting Djurgarden's 1st loss of the season. Swedish Cup 3rd Round: Vasteras SK e3-2 Tord Surprise surprise another away draw . We almost got past it as well. Both teams played terribly the 1st shot on target coming in the 72nd min. We went 1-0 up thanks to an own goal, the guy who scored the own goal then got himself sent off early in the 2nd half (I didn't bribe him honestly ). Marcus Johansson (YP22) made it 2-0 in the 72nd min. Then came a great comeback (not as good as Newcastle's against Arsenal) they scored in the 78th and 89th min to take the game to extra time. In extra time they proceeded to score the winner, injure two of my players and help a 3rd get himself sent off. League: Tord 0-0 Helsingborg A fantastic result against the league leaders especially considering we had a cup match go into extra time just 3 days ago. We even had a chance to win it at the end when they got a man sent off but Fredrik Karlsson (YP8) missed a golden opportunity. League: Trelleborg 0-0 Tord Woo another point. Trelleborg were the slightly better team but our defence was strong and we restricted their chance and pressured them into missing the ones they did create. DSYoungEsq
My guess: if you are EVER tempted to reload and re-try, it's to see if you can get a home cup draw.
hrbfcrule
Thanks guys, I may be picking up points but I am getting really lucky in doing so. I am being played off the park almost every game, occasionally I can match my opponent and even then i'll need a bit of luck to win. My guess: if you are EVER tempted to reload and re-try, it's to see if you can get a home cup draw. That's the real challenge. Winning the Champions League is easy it's getting the home draw that's the main goal Also if I had won that match against Vasteras SK I would have been given another away draw:rolleyes:
hrbfcrule
June 2023 League: Tord 1-1 GAIS GAIS were the better team in the 1st half and got a goal to show for it. We came back into the game in the 2nd half but it looked like they would hold on for all 3 points until Peter Jansson (YP33)'s shot from the edge of the area nestled into the bottom corner in the 90th min. League: AIK 2-0 Tord We did reasonably well until the hour mark. We held them off very well but a couple of defensive mistakes allowed them to score twice in quick succession and get the 3 points. We were never in any danger of threatening their goal. League: Tord 1-1 Assyriska We conceded in the 6th min but our chances of getting something from this match was boosted when they got a man sent off in the 26th min. Anders Axelsson (YP20) being the kind player he is returned the favour early in the 2nd half after 2 yellow cards. We started playing better now that the teams were even again strangely enough. It all kicked off in the last 10 minbs where we twice hit the post in a matter of minutes before Fredrik Karlsson (YP8) finally found the net in the 86th min. SnakeXe
Keep it up hrbfc, so long as the points keep coming you've got a chance. hrbfcrule
July 2023 League: Orebro 3-1 Tord We started off the month with a disappointing loss to the bottom side. We started well but then conceded twice in 3 mins which really set us back. Johan Heinonen looked to put us on the road to recovery when he scored in the 56th min but Orebro scored again soon after to finish us off. League: Tord 0-1 Mjallby Really thought we would get something from this and probably would have done if the ref hadn't given the opposition a controversial penalty which they got the winner from. League: IK Sirius 0-1 Tord Phew. Really needed the win, our 1st in 9 matches. It was actually on tv as well . Fredrik Karlsson (YP8)'s early strike was enough for all 3 points. Maybe there's hope for us yet. League: Tord 0-2 IFK Goteborg We did so well for so long but it was all in vain. IFK Goteborg scored in the 69th min and then again in the 92nd. We had more than matched them up to that point. League: Elfsborg 0-0 Tord The aim was not to lose, we couldn't afford to lose against one of the bottom 6 clubs. As you can see from the table it looks like the bottom 6 will be fighting each other for safety.
EdSB
Wow, it's tight at the bottom! If things carry on though, you should just sneak it - at worst, maybe the play-off.
DSYoungEsq
I hate relegation battles like that. You are on tenter hooks for every game, and you rarely get to relax during a game. Even the goal difference can be crucial, so you worry about every goal you ship in a loss. Makes for a very nervy season. All the better reason to celebrate when you stay up! hrbfcrule
Wow, it's tight at the bottom! If things carry on though, you should just sneak it - at worst, maybe the play-off. hrbfcrule
August 2023 League: Hammarby Fotboll 1-0 Tord A disappointing loss, we really need to beat the teams around us. Unfortunately we got absolutely battered and ended up conceding just after half time. We had a few chances to snatch an equaliser but we didn't do so. League: Tord 1-0 Kalmar FF A shock win which makes up for the abysmal performance last match. Peter Jansson (YP33) grabbed the only goal of the game in the 10th min. It was very much a snatch and grab affair as we played off the park fo the majority of the match. A nice way to celebrate my 400th match in charge League: Tord 0-4 Malmo FF We did alright ntil we go a man sent off, our 3rd red card against Malmo this season. Even after we were down to 10 men we played admirably but Malmo had one of those days which everything they hit turned to goals. League: Gefle 2-0 Tord Another awful display, we conceded twice in the opening 15 mins which completely deflated us. It could have been a much worse scoreline if Gefle had taken their chances.
