David Wilkinson on loan from Crystal Palace. Playing as AFC Wimbledon and brought him in on a season long loan as goalkeeper. So far man of the match in 5 games out of 5!

Also, could we make this the official non league players thread?

I'm managing Welling at the moment and desperately need a striker, either a loan or a freebie.

I've just posted some players on the - other - BSN/S & BSP thread.

I don't know if these players are on your game:

Getulio, Boliovian International.

Galuppo, Venezuelan Youth international.

They get w/p and, if they are on your game, they will score for you.

Look for Michael Reddy, 18 pace! doesn't look the best but a constant threat - hes free at the start of the game. i bought him for Kings Lyn...

I remember when he didn't seem to be half bad at all, was on loan at us briefly and played for Sunderland a few times in the Premiership. Playing in Greenland or somewhere strange like that now, I believe.

If you have the polish players loaded, go to a lower league team called Mieszko, they have three great defenders, especially Mariusz Wysocki.

I already posted this on the other thread FM 09 - Non-League Discussion hope someone can combine them both.

Playing Vauxhall Motors (BSN), hence any players I can get means anyone(almost) can. Media prediction 22nd, but currently sitting pretty at the top of the table. Most of these players have to be signed fast, but your wage budget can post a BIG problem. Most of these players are good enough to get you consecutive promotions.

Highly recommended

Free Players

GK - Henri Timmer

GK - Sven van Ommeren (Groene Ster)

SW,DC - Justice Ampah

SW,DC,DM,MC - Benjamin Prednik (Pohorje)

DRC,WBR,DM,MRC - Reagwich Slijngard (ASV) : super versatile

DC - Thanh Doan

DC - Arthur Gnohéré

DM,MRC - Ondrej Kral (Klatovy)

MC - Benjamin Mulamehic : good prospect, train him as DM and ST.

AMC - Marcin Morawski (Gornik) : amazing vision, long shots.

AMC - Jérémy Drouglazet (US Concarnoise)

AMR - Dave McClements

AMLC - Niels Gerestein :best played in DL/WBL role. Don't retrain him though, already 37.

WBL,AMLC - Rogerinho (Irakleio) : dominates the left.

AM/FC - Jean-Jacques Missé Missé (Rapid Leest) : Very old and selfish but still very good.

AM/FC - Boubacar Baldé (US Concarnoise)

ST - Tadeusz Tyc (Czarni Z.)

Transfers

D/WBL - Rennier Rodríguez (Caracas) 3k,Wp

D/WBR - Luis Lobo (Deportivo Anzoátegui) 1k,Wp (or %profit)

ST - Pierre Alexandre Pluchino Galuppo (Caracas) 1k,Wp (or % profit) : a goal a game guy, need some encouragement at 1st. Not the best stats but 12 in 10, rating 7.9. A lot of room for improvement too.

Keep a look out for Ransford Osei-ST, Paul Addo-WBL, Leozhinho-AMLC,FC.

Need a better AMR, any suggestions?

I LOVE suggestions like this, which players did you load?

I'm using the old ddt file from fm2008 + huge database. I didn't bother to count, but should be over a hundred nations loaded. To give you an idea, my saved game at the start is 258mb uncompressed.;)

Well, I actually am managing Stenhousemuir in Scottish Division 3, which is around Conference standard.

A really good striker at this level is Chris Joyce (Odd Grenland). He also improves with training quite noticeably. Finishing starts off at only 7 but in practice the man doesn't miss! Signs on a free.

He should be good for at least 2 divisions higher (ie Coca Cola League 1 or thereabouts) at a minimum.

He's English, so no work permit needed.

2 good defenders at this sort of level are Martin Ferry (Limvady Utd - pace 18, can be got for around £2k to £3k) and John Ovenstone (Stenhousemuir - really good in the air - jumping about 17, heading around 15, tackling 13 and long throws 18).

That is the best team name I've ever heard. Even better than Young Boys and Colo Colo.

Nah, nothing beats this team

A good player for BSS/N teams is Ronnie Bull

Name: Ronnie Bull

Has to be the best team name:

Onto business - three very solid signings for lower league managers. I had no problems signing these 3 for Montrose in the Scottish 3rd so I'd imagine Blue Square Prem shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks CPS, gonna offer Philip Craig a 4 week trial, as I chose to start in December 07, so got 9 months pre-season. Am in April at the moment.

Hope he does the business for you like he has for me DanG. His physical stats are excellent for an unattached player, in real life he was a regular in Portadown's team and a NI under-19 international and is only unattached in game due to him quitting football to go to Uni (I think). I guess his value would be around 5k if he was in the Portadown squad.

For me he has a 7.2 average from around 50 games. Make sure you get him in the box for set pieces too as he'll weigh in with a few goals. Let me know how he does for you if you decide to sign him after the trial.
