Trying total football w/ flat 442 on 14.3.0

Recommended Posts

Greetings everyone!

This is my first try to share a tactic w/ community and english isnt even near to my native so dont kill me pls

Ill try to make it simple:

1. Inspiration - MrHough's "beast 442"

2. Point of creating - a challenge trying to play total football using flat 442 w/ no special playing abailities needed (all based on teamwork)

3. Fluent movement w/ rigid tactic fluidity to make sure we dont need a Messi on each position

4. Counter-attack and control mix w/o any control or counter team instructions

5. solid defense (yes i dont like to win 5-3 6-3 etc)

So if u interested enough, plug it, train it, and try it! Do not use any OI. Training is up to u but id recommend using team cohesion - average in generak and teamwork in match preparation.

Good luck!

I said it in the Beast thread already and i will repeat myself now :)

I don't think it's a good idea to go with team cohesion whole season. It is meant to get the guys working together, but after they that has been accomplished, it only serves to hinder player development.

in my humble opinion there is nothing to affect player development since all my players got individual training for their roles in team and all i see is constant growing of their skills. I tried lots of different general shedules but had to get back to team cohesion. But still, its up to u to decide, mate.

Good thing in this game is that everyone can do things in their own style :)

I only use team cohesion on pre-season and when new players join the squad, but if that approach is working for you, no need to change :)

Gonna give this a go as logic is telling me those duties should be suicide for a season but your results are pretty damn sweet. And to be honest adhering to sensible roles and duties has gained me nothing but unspectacular mid table performance with EVERY team i use..real madrid fans dont like that :p

While winning every match in domestic league, my team has to meet Sevilla in Euro Cup Second Knockout and i was a bit nervous about that cause the press and even my fans were pessimistic about our chances to get through. still , it ended up w/ nearly same score that in matches agains OM :)

No rly need since there r roles in tactic and we can always see wich attributes needed for each role. Finding a players i never use filters. only scouting recommendations then manual checking each recommended player.

Edit: its k if u cant attract good players but if u can, there r some notes for attributes ur players better to have in additional:

dc: decisions, passing, teamwork

DLR: crossing, stamina, teamwork

MC: teamwork, tackling

MRL: first touch, crossing, teamwork

STC/RL : first touch, teamwork

Team cohesion is at least useful until the players are "willing to die for each other" (team talks screen). But using the "teamwork" focus on match training has the same effect.
