NepentheZ
Neppo's FM11 - Youth Player Project Youth Player Project - FM08's Illustrious Thread. Youth Player Project - FM09's Illustrious Thread. Youth Player Project - FM10's Illustrious Thread. Every year we get a new batch of youth players, and the Ass Man singles out the best one of them. (I'm assuming they have the best P.A of the group.) My aim is to take this player, give them some first team football, and track their career, be it at Real London, or should they move on. Each season I will add a new player to the reports, (naturally) and just think it could be fun, interesting and informative of what happens with them. Thread Rules : There are no real "rules" - as this is a supplementary challenge, and can be run along side many, or even ANY of the other challenges in the forum, but I will ask that participants provide as many screen shots as possible. Day 1 of the players career and end of season screenshots, with small reports are what I opt for, but you can provide as many, or few as you wish. There is no limit to this challenge, nor is there a finishing post. You may come and go as you wish, and do not have to follow my example with taking a player every season. Should you wish, you could take on the player every 2, 5, 10 or even 50 seasons if you choose. The most important thing is that you're enjoying and are dedicated to the challenge. And that you have fun. Of course, the mandatory house rules, still apply within this thread. Seasons marked with a "*" indicate the player was only on loan for that season If other wish to use this, or a similar method to denote which seasons the player spent away from the club for a season, be my guest. NepentheZ
Neppo's Youth Player Project's Hall of Fame Introduction : Welcome, to the Hall of Fame. Here, you will find the greatest ever players to have come through the youth ranks of clubs worldwide. These players spend a long time at each club, and deserve every credit for being entered into the HoF. It certainly takes a special player to get this far, and a special manager to help him. To be entered into the Hall of Fame is no easy feat. There is no specific criteria, but players will have broken milestone records, be it 500 club appearances, or 100 international caps. B.W.G
B.W.G's Welsh Youth Project Club: Bridgend Town Youth Player 1 - David Stewart (2015/16 Batch) Initial End of Season 1 His finishing stats have decreased but he still managed to put in the performances needed, mainly played in cup competitions to help give youth a chance in the team. With going professional and being on a full time contract, I hope the training will help develop him. hasdgfas
I will definitely be partaking in this as usual. Love this thread From someone who's been somewhat of a regular in the past couple thread, I have a request. Can we get some actual discussion on players going this year? I know that for me, this thread is much more enjoyable when I have others commenting on my players, asking questions, etcetera. Now, it's not fair for me to make that request and not actually do any of that myself, so.... BWG: Hughes looks solid. Although I don't know much about the quality of the Welsh Premier League. What sort of level are most of your players compared to him? A lot better, a little better? Brown has some pretty good pace/accel for 16, it looks like. Good luck to you
B.W.G
The Welsh Premier League doesn't have much quality. The other players are not much better then him at the moment and TNS who normally finish 2nd wanted Hughes on loan as a 1st team player.

He is also currently rated at 2*/4.5*. If he can continue to improve then there will be no hesitation of playing him. He also impressed me on his debut for Bridgend by scoring from 25 yards. I hope to get a feeder clun to loan him out to. Youth Player 3 - Hugh Drake (2017/18 batch) Initial Profile He looks like a good prospect for the Welsh level, will look to try and loan him through the season. B.W.G
B.W.G's Welsh Youth Project Club: Bridgend Town With the reputation of the Welsh Premier improving, there are only 2 players who will seemingly make an impact they are Youth Player 1 and Youth Player 1a, other wise known as David Stewart and David Hughes. If any others pop up then I will make them one of the youth project. Youth Player 1 - David Stewart (2015/16 Batch) Initial Profile End of Season 1 End of Season 2 End of Season 3 He went through a rough patch where he went 11 hours without scoring but still managed to score 18. He has formed a good partnership with the other centre midfielder in my team. A Wales call up may not be too far away has the average age is 29, so the squad is getting older and there doesn't seem to be any other prospects breaking through Season Club Division Appearances Goals Assists MOTM AV.R --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2015/16 Bridgend Welsh Prem 0 0 0 0 0 2015/16 Barry (Loan) Welsh Prem 30 5 2 0 6.77 2016/17 Bridgend Welsh Prem 8 2 2 0 7.31 2017/18 Bridgend Welsh Prem 27 3 6 0 7.16 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Total 65 10 10 0 7.08 YP 2 and Yp 3 are no longer have the potential has they are both now ranked at 1.5 * PA and there is none out of this seasons batch to worth mentioning. B.W.G
Yep, I think the problem is that during season there was a slight lack of harmony as my back up keeper, another youth player, and 2 midfielders were causing problems and seemed to dislike anyone who were Welsh. B.W.G
viiralx - The players were hating me as well and my nationality is Welsh as well B.W.G's Welsh Youth Project Club: Bridgend Town Youth Player 1 - David Stewart (2015/16 Batch) Initial Profile End of Season 1 End of Season 2 End of Season 3 End of Season 4 What a Season this kid had. He was that impressive he was called up to the Wales squad twice although he did not even feature on the subs bench. 36 in 49 was rather impressive and was in deadly form along sides his partner who hit 39 goal. Even though he is not technically the greast, he has an eye for goal. Unfortunatly, he now has an agent who is a money grabber..all I can hope is that Stewart sacks him quickly before disruption is caused. He was constantly impressive throughout the season, although he did not get called up to the Wales squad like Stewart, he was attracting alot of attention from Bohemians, Celtic, Blackpool and Wigan. He is coming along very well and with the facilities always improving, he should have a better chance of reaching his true potential. Top PA was 1.5* but with the Welsh Prem now ranked at 1.5*, the PA has been affected. I really hope the next breakout is a left mid who can play as an AML as that seems to be my weakest area. hasdgfas
Is Blackpool still in the premiership in 2018/2019? Their name stuck out to me as a bit odd to be in there. B.W.G
I'm doing Gundo's Challenge so I've only got Welsh league on but with that said Blackpool would maintain a place in the premiership listing. Indeed he is but sometimes confidence can be an issue when he isn't scoring.

He is such a physical presence in the area and defences can't deal with him. With his impressive scoring for the season, he is now holds the record for top scorer, he was only 4 off from getting the top league scorer record as well. Maybe next season. B.W.G
LLR - I like D'Eugenio looks like he could be a handyplayer when needed, specially with being able to play on the left side of midfield as well. B.W.G
I'm using 4-2-4. Tried to base it round creating chances from the AML and AMR for the strikers to knock in. Such a shame, he now has a bit of competition which I hope he performs to his best as I now have 4 strikers who know where the back of the net is. Had his best season yet. All I can hope his for him to continue to be his best. On an Internatonal front, its been more frustrating as he only gained 3 caps even though (my biased opinion) he is better then the centre midfielders who start. He deserves better and currently also has better fitness level so he can last or make an impact during the games. Introducing Jamie Davies (2022/23 Batch) Initial Profile He has 3* PA but with my current AMR being the only decent AMR in the team, I am glad he has come through as he can be backup for my 1st choice so he may get games this season. Also with my 1st choice AMR being 26, if Davies can develop and replace him, I won't have to spend a penny on finding a quality replacement

B.W.G
We had someone in Gundo's who had that problem due to them not having any youth facilities...is that the case for you??
NepentheZ
Yeah, quite possibly. Guess I'll have to wait 'till I get them then

He even hit form on the international level as well, ended the season on 29 Caps 11 goals!! Why did the season have to end!!!! He is becoming more recognised on the international front, he finished the season on 15 caps and 4 goals but had a much harder challenge to break into the squad then David Stewart. Alot of rotation was used as well so he did not play as any games due to the Euro Cup run. Won't be posting anymore new youth players till Jamie Davies has retired to give the AI the chance to catch up quality wise as any new youth are better off staying at my club then going out on loan. Also it will mean any new youth will get more chance of 1st team by being loaned out and developed as well.
NepentheZ
Stewart is really something You're slamming through the seasons, too. haha. B.W.G
That he is, although he has annoyed me by becoming a legend before me!!!! NepentheZ
That's why I love N. Ireland I I get knocked out the cups early, it's a 30 game league season, and FM11 is fast, so yeah.

He did not want to stop scoring and scored an average of 1.47 goals a game. This shows what happens when you have a star player in a rubbish league. At international he also hit form and finished the season on 40 caps 20 goals. Already a legend for Bridgend at the age of 24! Oh he can score in Europe as well as he hit 2 in a 4-1 victory over Real Madrid!! Guest roberto922
Roberto922 Youth Project Club: Everton FC Youth Player 1 - Jack Huntley (DC) Initial Looks like he has the potential to be good, problem is I have some great young CBs like Phil Jones, Simon Kjaer and a great Argentinian regen called Francesco Godoy so chances to prove himself might prove rare, will send him out on loan at first opportunity.
