Winto
i know red card overturns are rare (ive never had any) but if in the 3d view of the match there is a clear decision that has gone wrong could you get it overturned based on what youve seen? or would the graphics mean you wont be able to tell or dont represent what has actually happened exactly? just a thought... TomHAVFC
I would of thought that it would be easier to see if a bad decision has been made regarding a red card which means it is more likely for you to have a red card overturned.
RobertPBham
Interesting one - from all the blogs and forum threads I've read, the 2d/3d view are representations of the game and may not be exactly as it happened. However, if you look at the match report it normally explains quite clearly whether it was a foul or not, so you should be able to make your judgement to appeal against that. peter-evo
I think you could differentiate a foul from a good tackle but about the cards I don't know. Best to base it on what the commentator says, in a weeks time we will find out in the demo
lolgasm
I don't know if this is included in the game but in real life, the referee has to admit they got the decision wrong for it to be overturned.
Egon
I don't know if this is included in the game but in real life, the referee has to admit they got the decision wrong for it to be overturned. That's only if the sending off was for a second bookable offence. A straight red can be overturned by an FA disciplinary panel.
andrespringett
nope, a panel of the FA can overturn it.
YesYesOhYay
this is why i am looking forward to the 3D pitch!

Incorrect, the FA cannot degrade a red to a yellow, the only way that the appeal can be successful is if the referee removes all cards given.
CHARLIERODD
Yeah i hope we will be able to get a better idea whether to appeal or not because at the moment it's sooooooooo... difficult to judge, mostly i just don't bother unless it's an offside. SCIAG
Incorrect, the FA cannot degrade a red to a yellow, the only way that the appeal can be successful is if the referee removes all cards given. Incorrect, they can overrule it completely and say it wasn't a foul at all. See: John Terry, were the ref insisted it was (and it was).
nerner
I never thought of it that way. Could be good though.

The_Kreman
Yeah, two little circles squaring up to one another isnt much fun ..... but in 3D it should be interesting All in all, this is another one where the only answer can be "we'll have to wait and see when the demo comes out", no? iamweesel
I see this being a bad thing for 3D we might see graphical glitches, and people ,moan about it (OK,Sorry for being pessimistic)
PGB_SPURS_FM09
Yeah it is difficult. like can we see elbows when going for headers. Will players fall on the floor if been hit. Will kickers leg/head actually touch the other guy when kicked/headbutted! Will it look like players have dived! etc etc etc etc etc We'll just have to wait for the demo! See: John Terry, were the ref insisted it was (and it was). The only reason this got overturned was cos of who he is and the club he plays for! If it was someone like Michael Dawson at Hull City the red card would have stood!
ET-Taylor
That will be good seeing a wrestling match in the middle of the pitch
