Jimbokav1971
The striker opened his teams account by taking on 2 players before scoring a powerful close range header. Would someone care to shed some light on what this is meant to mean? How exactly do you take on 2 players and then score with a close range header:confused:
Ched
Bug i suspect, unless he outran 2 players to get to the ball?
Alurny
Chip it up and nod it in? Or nod it along the ground?
glamdring
It doesn't say he had the ball when he took on the two players. Mebee he took them on and then got in position for a cross and a close-range header. Or maybe he out-jumped 2 players to win the header. Or maybe he punched a defender and the goalkeeper first and then headed home!
jjwatson42
Maybe he was so good he hit the ball off the bar onto his head. it happens: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TSXjTn2lF8
tomtuck01
It's quite simpe really; He goes past 2 players, passes the ball, and makes a run into the box. A cross comes in, and there he is to head home.
postal postie
took on two players may mean that the ball was crossed and he was being shadowed by two players?
VonBlade
Or maybe it's just twaddle.
postal postie
Or maybe it's just twaddle. i guess we'll only know for sure if the original poster tells us exactly how the goal was scored.
philly_flyer10
Would someone care to shed some light on what this is meant to mean? How exactly do you take on 2 players and then score with a close range header:confused: Look at the famous Jamie Pollock OG. He beat two QPR forwards before heading it over his own keepers head from 20 yards to relegate his team. Now its never going to happen at the correct end though. bl0u6344
Maybe it was showboating. Took two players on before, on the goal line, getting to his hands and knees and rolling it in with his head
Amaroq
^^ A long ball. He beats his defender, gets clear away, rounds the 'keeper .. and the other team are so disheartened that they give up on the play and cease chasing him. Seeing this, he has enough time to stop on the six, lift it into the air for himself, and score with the header.
dirty1982dec
Maybe it was showboating. Took two players on before, on the goal line, getting to his hands and knees and rolling it in with his head George Best admitted that he tried to do this once, but the ball crossed the line before he could get to his knees
aaron1606
Maybe it was a seal dribble - wasn't Kerlon or Braaten was it?
