Kin
Sorry I am a beginner of FM and my dad just bought me a new PC but the display card is ATI Radeon HD 5450 1GB DDR3. Is this too weak for playing FM?? Which display card would you recommend to me in a reasonable price?
trekman
Sorry I am a beginner of FM and my dad just bought me a new PC but the display card is ATI Radeon HD 5450 1GB DDR3. Is this too weak for playing FM?? Which display card would you recommend to me in a reasonable price? That card will be just fine for FM. One thing I would suggest though is that you go to the ati website and download the latest version of its drivers. You should also make sure that you have the latest version of directx and java. You can get the latest directx from http://www.microsoft.com/games/en-US/aboutGFW/pages/directx.aspx Latest java from http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp
FrazT
That card is very much at the budget end of graphics cards and is not really designed for 3D graphics. I suggest that you download the demo and see how it goes in 3D.
acidmonkey
exactly as FrazT says your best and easiest test is to try the demo, before getting the full game to see if it runs ok, ive got a terrible GFX card but it runs FM in 3D quite happily (and only cost me £40)
dafuge
I'm no expert on graphics cards but I have an HD 4650 which gets a 4 star 3D rating and runs the 3D match view pretty well. I can't quite run it on the highest detail without a slight stutter but it runs very smoothly on the middle setting with stadia, crowds and weather all turned on. I'm assuming the HD 5450 is better than mine so it should be fine.
solstar
That Graphics card sounds ok, its not high end but it should be ok, may struggle with too much info but I dont see why it couldn't run 3D if at a stuttering pace. Why call it a display card? thought it was on promotion or something...

I have the same card as you and thats why I thought the op should be fine with the one he has as it appears to be better than ours.
Neji
1GB DDR3? Should be fine for FM.
FrazT
Interesting, I thought that as well but I looked up the reviews and it performed very poorly in all the gaming bench tests.
Kin
Cheers, mates. I will try the demo and see the performance of 3D graphics first.

stevio11
I have a HD3200 and have no problems at all with the graphics, Windows 7 will even look for new drivers if required so save s me the hassle as I don't always know which is the right thing to download when it comes to driver updates
