Windows 7 with FM10

Hi all

I am planning a new pc purchase quite soon. How does FM10 work with windows 7? Is there any issues workarounds that need to be done to make the game run properly? Is it better faster etc using windows 7?

Nope, I have Windows 7 64bit and it works great. Couldn't say if it's faster than another OS or not , but it's certainly faster than FM09.

I bought a brand new PC with Windows 7 a few days before I bought FM10.

I previously played FM09 on XP!

The game is so fast and looks perfect on my new monitor.

It will run better on windows 7 then vista, as windows 7 has all the junk taken out of it to increase performance. and it use less resources than vista does which is a good thing

I use windows 7 professional 32 bit. Works fine, haven't had any problems at all. No crashes yet either (touches wood)

Adding windows 7 and an extra 3gb of ram has really increased performance, so much i'm on season 5 already.

Using Windows 7 64-bit myself, with 4GB RAM and a quad-core processor. The speed and performance of FM10 has been greatly improved, so it's naturally more responsive than FM09. However, I played the FM10 demo on both Vista and Win7 and the latter was much preferred.

I'm running it perfectly on 64bit.. So its not the operating system at fault I doubt

If I started a game with Vista and then upgraded to Windows 7 do you think that may affect the game?

Works perfectly and no, it won't affect your game if you upgrade later.

thats what i did and now the game wont work on windows 7, tried everything in the FAQ help guide, others seem to be playing fine so thinking its my set up somehow

Best bet is to save your game file on a USB stick before upgrading. Then if the game doesn't work reinstall it.

You should have done a clean install of Windows 7!

Only uses 2gb ram max since its a 32bit app

I don´t think there´s much difference between Vista and 7. I´ve got a i7 quad core 6gb ram. Everything was perfect in Vista and it was never any problems. I feel Win 7 is very nice to work in. Still playing FM09 since I´ve got a great career save going there, but ran the FM10 demo and it was quite fast. I feel that it´s not as fast as SI made it sound though. Overall everything is great.

I especially in Win7 like the small FM icon down the left hand side of the screen. Your girlfriend will never notice you´re playing FM. Brilliant!

Yeah vistas been cool since SP1, the people who complain about it didn't use it. Just read about it.

Works fine on Windows 7, although to take screenshots of FM on W7 you have to go to windowed mode! Really annoying!
