I thought we were done after the first leg. Honestly. I was prepared to write a eulogy for my team as we know it. But out of the ashes we rise to keep playing.

 

 

Off to the beautiful Florence, where we have been 16 years earlier and lost 4-2.

Our games were two days apart but we recovered better to go through to the last 4.

Into the final for the second time in 3 years, but we lose Stojanovic 12B* for the rest of the season with a torn groin. I guess it's not a massive deal as we have plenty of options, but his experience will be missed.

He crossed the ball in where it went over everybody's head. Except the unmarked Djuricic 18A*, who met the ball with his left foot......

What an amazing journey and what an incredible match! Here's the goal that won it for us, apologies if the quality isn't great, any advice to make GIFs come up better is much appreciated!

 

I'll do a full lineup post after this, but wow what a moment, I haven't won a continental tournament since FM 2011 with Limerick FC when I won the same comp in 2034!

Must be frustrating having all that money but not being able to spend it, what sort of transfer budgets does your board give you? Also, with your average attendances growing each year and all that cash in the bank, do you think your board will build a new stadium soon, have you requested one at all?

I've been thinking of starting a similar save, probably in Luxembourg. Never done youth only so might let myself take a couple players on trial each season or something to make it a little easier.

My transfer budget is 300 million and wage budget 5.2 million, of which I am spending 171k haha. As for the new stadium, we are 3000 off selling out every game and there's no room for expansion, so I keep asking the board for a new stadium but they feel it isn't necessary yet, no matter how many threats I make.

Luxembourg would be fun, because you can get all these second nationalities which could increase the quality of players, and there's nothing wrong with bringing players in, although if I did it I'd put certain restrictions based on scouting knowledge.

Played Inter in a friendly 7 years ago for a 3-3 draw.

But it's straight at the Chelsea keeper. A massive chance goes begging.

We head into half time of the Champions League Final with the score at Chelsea 2, Buducnost 2!

Buducnost's young keeper proving that although he can't score penalties in European Finals, at least he can save them!

The game enters the last half an hour with the score still even at 2.

Buducnost have a free kick in scoring position. The situation is almost identical to their first major chance of the game.

With a mighty leap from Vargec to meet it with his head!

 

The keeper stretches....

Buducnost have the lead once again!

With barely 15 minutes left it's Buducnost 3 leading Chelsea 2!
