    Did you qualify for the European competition after that FA cup final appearance? I guess probably not, unless you mentioned it and I did not see it.. it would probably be a strain on a schedule, but the financial benefit and opportunity to rotate and give a lot of players games...

    Tough start, but to be expected after skyrocketing through the lower leagues. Avoiding relegation for a season or two sounds good enough I think. Given some of the results I wouldn't be surprised if next season already meant comfortable mid table.

    I think you definitely need to find a way to upgrade youth recruiting, youth coaching and facilities, as that will allow both players with better current ability and higher potential to come through the academy. Easier said than done, since it requires finances...

    Back in the CM 01/02 days, or maybe it was even 98/99, when I was a lot younger (I do still play CM01/02 from time to time) I had a similar experience where I had to explain to my mother that I was screaming (she already knew I was die hard United fan, and that I gave zero **** about domestic Serbian league and teams) because of the football game, but one that was on my computer.
