The FM24 Youth Academy Challenge

[FM23] Reymersholms IK - season 29 - 2051 Bunch of nice potential, Adam Larsson is going into starting lineup straight away because Ville Gefvert made no progress in 3 years (he was unambitious, just changed into balanced recently) Another solid outcome, we're still far behind top clubs but at least we aspire to be a established mid-table team. We also made it into semi final in Swedish Cup so it's definetely best season in clubs history. The big problem though is Olof Rosen going into last year of contract and he still wants to leave so I consider selling him now. Same thing will probably happen next year with Alfred Jändel-Holst which will make our defence a lot weaker. "Are you winning, son?" not much changed here, still quite usefull but could be close to retirement -

[FM23] Reymersholms IK - season 28 - 2050 Some nice talents, I like Lindgren a versatile offensive player and Nguyen Van Quan will get a chance at DR, my current ones lookes like they're at their peak which is only 2* so that Vietnamese kid can outgrow them We again got 29pts but this year few teams were significantly weaker so we had no problems staying above relegation zone. Our bank balance is safe and growing so the board agreed for more upgrades, training facilities twice and youth recruitment so just before the start of next season we will have max levels everywhere except youth facilities "Are you winning, son?" Davids experience got him a good amount of starting lineup apps with a nice avg rating -
Once I've tried the youth only save few years ago I don't even want to go back to normal gameplay After looking through all FM versions I have and lower leagues DBs I think it's best to do it in FM20 because of full structure down to tier 6 (or wait until FM25 as my team is likely to win promotion this season). If the save sticks for more than few season I can post some updates :)

[FM23] Reymersholms IK - season 27 - 2049 Yet again excellent intake with new starting DM Nice push in the second half of season to avoid relegation. Youngsters are improving, lots of upgrades, very stable finances so the future looks bright Finally next level of youth facilities but we're not even halfway through "Are you winning, son?" similar to last year but slightly more apperances -

[FM23] Reymersholms IK - season 26 - 2048 Some upgrades, reputation boost and here we are with a fantastic intake, three potential starters Great start and bad form later on but it was enough to survive in top division. Key players are happier now and will be given new contracts soon. With money from TV we were able to get multiple upgrades but still no youth facilities "Are you winning, son?" Looks like there's not much left, barely playing this season -

[FM23] Reymersholms IK - season 25 - 2047 Filip Olsson looks promising, nice potential and personality Playoffs again but this time we took a W and we're finally going to top division. 25 seasons is more than I expected but now the fun begins. On top of that we won our group in Swedish Cup and reached quarterfinals At the begining of the season we've upgraded our recruitment. I'm still not getting the youth facilities upgrade available and at this level it's just way to low "Are you winning, son?" Good season for David, a starting role, nice numbers -

[FM23] Reymersholms IK - season 24 - 2046 Average at most, all of them will stay in u19 team for now Somethings good happening here, Utsiktens BK were dominant but there was a pretty even fight for top 3 between almost half of the teams. A great stretch of unbeaten games in late rounds gave us a playoff spot. Unfortunately IK Sirius were too strong despite us winning first game. "Are you winning, son?" David fell in rotation to being just a deep sub, he eventually left and is now a free agent -

[FM23] Reymersholms IK - season 23 - 2045 Not many promising talents but I'm happy we got two DC's. Olof Rosen will be starting some games next season We got really strong start at cups group stage, we lost the 1st place to Kalmar just by one goal difference. In the league though a standard mid-table performance. I feel like being stuck here with not much room to improve currently. This is the year I'm moving our greatest scorer to bench. Eddie Nelen is 31 already, has some injury problems so I've promoted Dave Richmond who was massive in u19 team. I've decided to finally let Johan Sundstrom go. Last year of contract and not willing to sign new one, a lot of interest from bigger clubs. 35k upfront is not much, friendly game can double it, but I hope that sweet 50% clause will do the job eventually. "Are you winning, son?" Back into 3rd tier, starting almost every game but not performing too well -

[FM23] Reymersholms IK - season 22 - 2044 Those previews can be ridiculous sometimes, while the actual intake looks nice. Two goalies who can be a backup for Pafiakis or maybe even outgrow him in couple of years, left defender - potentialy a starter soon, because current one is 30yo, a center back to help our depth and some nice prospects on the attacking side That was a pretty horrible season, we were struggling a lot trying to get out of relegation zone. Eddie Nelen lost some time due to injury but he was still our top scorer (only 11 this year). Some best players are complaining they want to move to bigger club. I'm still able to survive transfer windows but I can't get them on new contracts so I may be forced to sell them after next season. "Are you winning, son?" David terminated his contract with Karlstad (where he was a strater) mid season and signed with lower division IFK Haninge -

[FM23] Reymersholms IK - season 21 - 2043 The preview was a little missleading, because actual intake was quite nice. Sabah and Axen will be subs next season Yet again starting good and declining in form later. We have decent starting lineup but something is not working. We might lose Johan Sundstrom soon, he's becoming way to good compared to rest of the team, some top flight clubs are showing interest and he don't want to extend his contract. "Are you winning son?" David is just a squad player now, doesn't look promising -

@TeoTimish nice to see another Polish league attempt. In FM24 my hometown team is finally available for this challenge and it has a pretty good starting setup. Too bad you didn't get them promoted. Good luck -

[FM23] Reymersholms IK - season 20 - 2042 That's a really nice intake. Finally I have a goalie who can replace my current one as Elliot Sommensjö is getting old. I think I'll switch them straight away, because Pafiakis is just slightly worse and he can catch up quickly. Also some decent sub for DR and two central mids + winger/striker. Next year it would be perfect to get some good DC We're feeling pretty confident right now, great start being in top3, then some sloppy games and we finish in a solid mid-table place missing playoffs just by 5 points. With the money left we upgraded training facilities again, but still can't get the youth facilities. I don't know if it's a reputation problem or just the board sucks. "Are you winning son?" David played his worst season so far, still has a starting spot but tier 3 is probably the best he could achieve. He left on a free transfer after contract expired -

[FM23] Reymersholms IK - season 19 - 2041 Very nice intake, lots of 1,5*CA players and Johan Sundstrom definetely is going into rotation Another survival, I'm just happy we avoided playoffs, because you never know. Eddie Nelen just keeps on with brilliant performance, I just hope that others will become so efficient and consistent. Just around summer we got the clause buyout available for 3,2m. It was around 1/3 of his value but when going through IFK's transfer history there was only one huge sell for 15m to Liverpool, other than that they got 3-4m max so it was no brainer. Rather slim chance to get more if they sell him and that amount of money will help us immediately. So we got some crucial upgrades and most important, the board agreed to turn professional. "Are you winning son? only 15 starts in his new team so rather regressing. In his age he won't become much better, I wonder if there's a lot of missed potential or maybe that's the best he could be?
