  1. Here stage 17 is the regular season (these are groups but the system is the same for a single league) from there the top 3 in each group qualify directly for the Quarter Finals (stage 19) then the next 2 in each group (4th and 5th) qualify for the Play-In (stage 18) then the winners of the Play-In join the teams already qualified for the Quarter Finals (stage 19)

  2. 1) Under Basic Rules it does so automatically if you ask for 6 teams for a Champion Play-Off. Otherwise in advanced rules you can qualify the first two teams by "qualification" for the semi-finals and the next four by "playoffs" for the quarter-finals. I prefer the second option for aesthetic reasons.

  3. This is because you have selected the last winners of the "Cupa Romania Judetul" as participants (288 teams=16x18 which is the number of teams in the divisions you have selected), but there are no former winners yet. One option would be to add a winner to each of these cups so that the editor can find a team to select. Otherwise we would have to go advanced ruled and establish a team selection for the first year.

    Try this:

    2. Go to C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2023\Preferences\version 1 and copy user_data_location.xml.

    3. Go to C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Sports Interactive\Editor 2023\Preferences\version 2 and paste the file.

    4. Go to C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Sports Interactive\Editor 2023\Caches and delete editor.skc file.

    5. Launch the Editor.

Hi @cleiria Sorry if I made a mistake.

    I have the same problem I can't find user_data_location.xml even after I delete editor.skc

  5. I did something like that last year but on a European scale (Iberica League, Balkan League, Visegrad League, etc.) adding restrictions on the number of foreign players, salaries and so on. It was great but the udate broke everything and I didn't have the courage to fix it.
But it's great and it gives a great variety of different matches!

If you use groups you can still "use other competition" at the top of the individual group settings. I realize that doesn't solve everything but might help with some of your issues that arise from switching to groups (like history)

Thank you @themodelcitizen for your answer!
    Are you talking about this?

I did but now it's a promotion/relegation problem I'm having. I feel like I have ghost teams coming out of nowhere :seagull:

But yes it's an option I'm thinking about.

you need to create 2 times the 1st division, 1 end year 2022 and the other start year 2023

2 times the second, 1 end year 2023 and the other start year 2024

2 times the third, 1 end year 2023 and the other start year 2024

4 times the 4th, 1 end year 2022, after start and end year 2023, after start and end year 2024 and the last start year 2025

4 times the 5th, 1 end year 2022, after start and end year 2023, after start and end year 2024 and the last start year 2025

    Thank you @cleiria
I will try to use this way. I used to use Valid Years like on this screen. It works from the first Division to the 3rd but below that it doesn't.

The answer to 1 is yes. This means two versions of the competitions, but it is doable.

I have a trouble with this :seagull: because the editor ask for rules for the one who left...

Number 2 seems doable with "store league history" but you might need to test various combinations of the options that come up when you check that box

Yes, that's what I thought, but it seems to work only for the top three in each group in the competition itself, otherwise in the team history their league history stops showing.

It is possible to recude the number of child competitions. Take a look at this topic for more information

Great thanks I will look it !

Edit: The @krlenjushka file seems to be a good basis, I didn't know that it was possible to anticipate the change to a different number of child competition in Child Competition/Regional Rules.

Thanks again for your help @crooy3 !

Can't you change max/min teams in the whole stage and in the early rounds, and/or use certain flags like don't set up round if not enough teams. Same way they do it in the default game. Or just use "runner-up as backup" in enough of the entries that it will find someone else to fill the spot if the UEL winner has already qualified otherwise

It might take too long to set up as I would like to use the classic continental qualification system rather than customise one which is very time consuming  :D

  9. 1 - Is it possible to reduce the number of child competitions from one year to the next?
For example, from 4 Child Comp in 2023 to 3 in 2024 (adjusting pro/rel. of course.)

    OR

2 - If not, is it possible to keep the individual ranking of each team in a competition divided into several groups. For example the 7th of group A will have in its history 7th of group A.
I manage to keep the ranking of the first three but it seems that after them the teams do not record their ranking.
