  1. Have you checked in which minute the subs are used? I wouldn't count anything beyond 80th minute since those hardly contribute to the development of these players.
  2. I'm at the point where I'm using the editor to boost the CA of youth players of my competitors to make it somewhat enjoyable. Seeing all my rivals not ever using their youth products is such a dumb thing.
  3. Update regarding Bastien Meupiyou and Aleksander Hammer Kjelsen: Both now regarded a Wonderkid.

Wanted to include an aging Messi in the squad, which resulted in the AP on the right wing, he has now retired but I'm keeping the role as it seems to work well Wanted to include Hato as a Libero, which also resulted in an IFB on the RB position The two central midfielders provide movement in the center and also enter the box for a goal The DM is there to hold position and provide support in offense while providing mostly defensive stability In the formation above in possession, Hato will move forward next to Mannsverk, whereas Mannsverk moves a bit to the right Hilgers moves from DCR to DCL and Calegari moves from RB to DCR Wijndal provides support to Borges in offense and supports both Hato and Taylor in build up Sforza makes forward runs into the box providing an additional goal scorer for Muzambo to pass to. Muzambo mostly hangs on the right and performs the occasional dribble into the box. He is a bit further back and moves along with Sforza. Borges provides lots of dribbles into the box and provides assists and goals Marcos Leonardo roams from position to help in build up and lays off quite a lot. Scores goals, but not as many as a traditional striker.
  5. Yeah same. Just checked for that and found out that their top 3 earners combined earn more than my entire club .
  6. I checked and I believe that it is due to the fact that my bank balance is pretty high as I hardly buy any players and sell quite a lot. On the other hand Man City does buy a lot and has a lower amount on the bank. It does however not take into consideration the amount invested in past years, yearly income and expenses and the total worth of the complete squad. In a vaccume only looking at the bank balance the text string is right, but it does not make sense at all if you look at the overall financial picture which goes far beyond just looking at cash balance.
  7. Wingbacks overlap naturally. The instruction only makes the IF/IW wait for the overlap, which is not something you want. Edit: so current tactic setup makes sense without the instruction.
  8. I would say it is even more troublesome if some people experience something A LOT and others not at all. To me that would mean that the code is a true spaghetti bolognese. For example, I had no squad depth interaction issues for the first 2 seasons, and then in season 3 when I'm winning pretty much everything I suddenly get a revolting squad complaining about GK depth even though I have 3-4 capable goalkeepers, including possibly the biggest talent in the world. Please make that make sense.

  10. Pretty sure FM24 will be the last FM as we know it and next year will be like what eFootball is to PES.
  11. You either download a fix from the workshop and start over or recruit every single position yourself. I did the latter as there was no fix in the beta.

My Ajax game so far: Season 1 Won the Eredivisie Semi final in Europa League Was using mostly this tactic throughout the season, driven by the lack of an AMR and using Akpom as a shadow striker: Season 2 Won Eredivisie again in second season, but with lower amount of goals and points: Lost in RO16 in the champions league Season 3 Leading comfortably in the Eredivisie Current tactic and squad: Still a strong core of Dutch and own youth players with quality foreign additions added to it.
  13. I have started with Ajax in the beta and am now well into the 3rd season I'll be posting my progress up till now later.
  14. I used a HB for 2 seasons in combination with complete wing backs on either side, worked quite well. The HB does not get extraordinary ratings, but it does enable the wingbacks to do that.
  15. The thing is, you focus on the match engine, which is indeed better than it has ever been apart from the high amount of goals scored. It looks and feels much better than anything we have had before. The majority of the feedback here is however not about the match engine, but about the way AI does transfers, selects its squad and refuses to use its subs and rotation players. In addition to this there are also major problems with interactions. To remind you, these were headline features presented by SI itself and were supposed to be majorly improved compared to previous versions and in some ways it is now worse. Next to that the licensing issue with Japan is also not related to the match engine, but a highlight feature and important to many users. Your priorities are different from the ones giving feedback here, which is fine, but that doesn't mean that our complaints aren't warranted.
  16. Give them playtime and they will be happy. You don't have to always start your very strong first 11 every single game. You can on occassion swap in 1 or 2 of the back ups for a full match in games where you think it should not be an issue. Chances are that your backups are still better than most other teams when playing as Man City. Also sub them in around 60th minute if possible. Finally, make sure that the agreed playtime for each player matches the amount you actually think they can realistically get.

I'm just very curious at what stage in the development of FM24 SI decided to highlight AI squad building and player development as a headline feature, while they must have realized somewhere down the road that it is completely not working as intended. Surely the early access was not the first time this was documented right?
  19. Well, as the complaints of mine have already been recorded in the bug section with plenty of examples in the past few weeks I can only resort back to ranting here.
  20. Some examples: No or hardly any subs being used, which results in easy games midway in the season. Having to face Real Madrid with half of its squad jaded is not really exciting to me. Side-effect of above is that youngster are not getting game time, which results in players not developing. Completely ruins long-term games for me. I just had 22 players in mutiny because they felt that i did not have enough depth in Goalkeeping. Fair enough I thought and signed 3 goalkeepers, only to have 22 players wanting to leave after having broken my promise to strengthen it. I had to actually buy the ingame editor to fix my save game. They might not be gamebreaking to you, but they are to me.
  21. For a game that is supposed to be played for a year (until the next one arrives) it is actually criminal to have to wait so long for fixes for game breaking bugs. I knew this was gonna happen and I'm still dissappointed.
