Can I play the same save I currently have on steam?

On my current save on FM24 I have the director of football signing the players for me (Because I find the game too easy otherwise) so let's say I leave a position blank on the squad planner, It would be helpful if the director of football tries to sign a player for that position that isn't filled, however that doesn't seem to be happening on my current save.

If I do a recruitment drive via the squad planner (say I ask for a left back) will the dof actually try to sign one of those players that they find do you know?

Because I find the game too easy these days I've decided to do a save where the dof signs the players. Have any of you done this before? How did it go? Did you do anything specific to implement it?

Post your current Formation/Tactic and give a brief summary of what you are trying to do. I am currently trying to replicate Luciano Spalletti's 4-6-0 formation while at Roma, using the false 9 to drop into midfield, dragging opposition defenders with him and giving space to the onrushing central midfielders and wingers. We try to prevent the opposition playing through the middle and have defensive wingers out wide and wing backs on full pressing to try and create turnovers. We have the defensive wingers set to 'get further forward' so that they will perform like usual wingers in possession.

Pick a team for me, go on, I'll do a test save using a gegenpress, and I bet you any amount of money that I overachieve.

I don't disagree, but when sigames are constantly saying they want to be as realistic as possible, having high pressing like this doesn't match that. I don't personally use it, i just want the game to be the best it can be.

I don't use gegenpress, I refuse to use it, I just want the game to be the best version of itself it can be. To be successful with a gegenpress you should have to have specific players with specific attributes to be successful with it, and probably a very large squad for rotation, but that isn't the case.

I bet it still ends up being this way in a few years, they have known about it long enough anyway just from the above and nothing has changed so far.

Just set these counter-press higher defensive line high press press much more often step up more. and by magic you start playing better/winning more games, even if you don't have the players needed to play a specific gegenpress style. easy, game is broken, has been for years, just go watch all the FM youtubers/tactics in the tactics forum, It's all high press. say im wrong if you want, but you won't get the game fixed believing otherwise.
