4th season, got 2 more great talents: No superstars here but might become fine players if their potential is high enough

I think the huge price for players means the club will not sell them unless a ridicules offer comes in, Like Moyes did with Rice and said he will sell him for no less than 150 million. I did see lots of amazing players go for peanuts like this: Mind you, the prices here are in US Dollars and not pounds.

I experienced the opposite but maybe It's because I am playing with a big club. I got Vlahovic for less tan 60 Million pounds(was not transfer listed or unhappy and contract was not about to run out) and Tchouameni for less than 30 million pounds. That's a joke.

I just noticed how the transfer market AI is so poor, Miles worst than previous versions of FM. it makes the game very easy. 2-3 seasons with 50 million pound budget and you set with a team of superstars.

I witnessed some stupid AI decisions in the transfer market before but that one takes the cake. I am in January of the 4th season playing as United and one of my scouts tells me that Tchouameni, one of the best midfielders in the game is for sale for less than 30 million pounds. The reason for the sale is they can't find a place for him in the squad, despite the fact he played almost 30 games for them as of 30 of January and I checked, they use 3 midfield tactic and got plenty of them but apart from Camavinga and Rice, the rest of them are rubbish, at least compared to Tchouameni(the likes of 30 years old Naby Keita and Davide Frattesi) What the hell? If you can't find a place for him then why is he starting in every game and if it is the case why would they sell him so cheap? He still got 3 years left on his contract, it's not like he's going to leave on a free soon. No way they are so desperate for money, and if they are, why not sell other players who play little to none(like Frattesi) Alto I am fully stocked in midfield I could not pass the offer(Sorry Casemiro) and I will not let my competitors get this amazing player for pocket change. Also, 6 months before that I managed to get my hands on Vlahovic for less than 60 million pounds and he was not transfer listed or anything and had some time left on his contract. It feels like the transfer market is a joke compared to previous versions.

Thats actually not true. Determination is so overrated. If you got a model citizen or a professional or a perfectionist with low determination they will develop just fine. Also you can raise determination easily with a tutor with a high determination(I seen some amazing improvements, more then 10 points in some cases, with the right tutor). In my experience with youth development, if they got good personality and high enough potential they will develop just fine regardless of determination. Just make sure your training is good, you got some good tutors and you give them some game time while they still young.

I don't understand your point, If gegnpress is broken(and it probably is) it's SIs job to address it, Gegnpress is a common tactic today and claiming its exploitative is BS.

That depends on the roll. If you are looking for a defender Flair is definitely not the most useful ability but positioning is. When buying and developing youngsters, if you got good facilities, coaching and some good mentors I think high potential and a good personality is way more important than starting good attributes.

Ronaldo ruled the Premier League with an iron fist for 2 years in my United Save and retired after the second season unfortunately. He played till 39 years of age. He could easily play for another season.

Wow, cant say it ever happened to me. I had some talent coming from the academy in past years but as I said, last year I had a long save((15 games years or so) with United and my academy produced maybe 2 or 3 superior players. The rest developed to be average at best.

Strange, in FM21 and 22 I was getting average intakes too for the most part and I was getting a great youngster like every 5 years or less(and I played with Ajax, United and Barca). "That goes against all the feedback people have been posting suggesting there are too few high PA players after a few seasons on FM23." Maybe the distribution balance of said youth is rubbish?

Sure, you can't get "too many" great talented youngsters but playing 3 seasons with Manchester United I got one 5 star potential youngster in every intake, one of them was first team ready at 15 years old. Realistically speaking, how many "superstar" youngsters Manchester United's academy produced in the last 5 years except for Greenwood? Garnacho might be one from his form this season. In older versions with Manchester United I was getting a superstar potential like every 5 years or so or even less I think. In the first intake I got this guy who still got some way to go before some league action: In the second intake I got this guy who is first team(or at least rotation) ready: And just now I got this guy who is way off first team and probably will never be a star but could be a nice backup and fill the homegrown quota: Anybody else gets OP youth intakes or I just won the RNG lottery? The game is easy as it is without my youth academy producing me great talents every year.

Bad morale can definitely cause problems but I don't think it's enough to make a team like Besiktas to be relegated.

I played Ronaldo as Advance Forward and Bruno as a Shadow Striker and Sancho and Rashford as Inside Forwards and they scored butt loads of goals for me.
