Wow, that's strange. I had my problems defensively too in the first season but most times I managed to outscore the opposition easily thanks to Ronaldo, Fernandes and Sancho.

I had problems with them too. Scamacca pimp slapped my defense a couple of times.

1. I make my own tactic and I suck at it by the way and I don't change it for a few years and still the AI is clueless and keep losing to it. I am 2 seasons in(in April) and I already won the league and the Carabao Cup and on the way to the semi-finals of the Champions League and the FA Cup finals. 2. I complained about the same last year and I got so tired of the same argument "FM22 is actually Low league FM" so I started as Salford in League 2, had 2 back 2 back promotions, almost got promoted to the Prem in my 3rd year but lost in the play-offs and after 4 seasons I got to the prem and was good, never struggled and I go bored after thr 6th season for the same reason. ITS TO EASY! 3. "put their details on none" what details are you talking about? Are you talking about the DB? what is that has to do with anything? After I'll get bored with this save I'll probably start again in some farmers league in Europe like I do every year and guess what? It's going to be to easy again and I'll be an established Champions League team in a few years.

I just conceded the strangest goal in my life and it clearly looks like a clear offside unless there is something about the rule I don't understand: Mara is passing to Adams who is clearly standing like 7 meters behind the defense and the goal stands. No VAR checks no nothing. Am I missing something here? Is the ref trolling me?

That's a big part of my point, United is no longer a "superpower" in the football world and should not win every cup in the first season and definitely should not score 4 goals after their only defensive midfielder was sent off in a game. But to your point, I managed lower leagues before and it was easy. The start is a little bit harder but after you get the wheels spinning it's just pressing continue, pay attention to the transfer market and that's about it.

Sure there is. Skyrim is a sandbox RPG and you can die and game over. it's not less of a sandbox.

His pace for a start. Sancho's pace is 14 I think and Ronaldo's is like 13. His consistency is not what it used to be for sure.

I don't feel restricted by the game to play a certain way. I can buy young players only, or I can say "screw that" and stock my team with superstars. If I don't like a certain player, I can just give him an extra long contract and let him rot in my reserve team and ruin his career potentially. There is so much sandbox elements to this game...And it comes from a guy who played RPGs and City builders most of his life.

There is not such thing as "anything" in video games, You are always limited by something. But FM gives you a lot of freedom, more than most games that I have seen, on how to start, where to start, how to progress and such. And there is a fact that the game is based on a sport that got tons of rules so it's mostly limited by those rules.

I don't think the two contradict each other in any way.

What is considered an overpowered attacking tactic? And if there is one like that it's SI responsibility to address it, fix it and balance it. It's like I read somewhere that praising players for training well is an exploit because it's massing with morale. Well...it's a game option that is very accessible, why would I not use it?

I dont have a "main" save. Last year I played as United(Twice), AZ, Salford and Anderlecht and I really enjoyed them all...At least at the start.

If you got time and patience, Buy a bunch of cheap youngsters(19yo and younger) with big potential, develop them as much as you can and sell them for profit. You can do it with any team in the big leagues and make serious bank. You can develop them by giving them game time or sending them out on loan if you are stacked with players. In 5-7 years you are going to be rich.

I encountered the opposite in my save with Manchester United, As it should be as United fans hate the Glazers. For example:

Poor or high morale is going to effect your result. Or at least it should.

If you are an amateur coach managing a top team the players basically not going to respect you in any way and It's going to have a major effect on moral. Its like: "Hey, good job on scoring that hat trick!" "Sod off!!!"

Yeah, and that's part of the problem with the game difficulty IMO. Harry Maguire is still a top Premier League defender in the game and it's embarrassing.
