  1. Agreed. Last year there was lots of signs. Miles heading into a big meeting. SteamDB showing it was being prepared. Staff on here. It was 2 weeks before too
  2. Exactly. Also in a week's time it will be the 19th. So almost exactly the same time. It will be next week
  3. AI squad building is something that I and countless others have been pushing for years and it never seems to get addressed. You get the old player bias as mentioned but you also still get teams buy a player for £60mil and play his 8 times over 3 years and then sell him on to another team to do the same. It's such a shame that this is overlooked again
  4. It's not worth a buy. They had 3 "standout feature's" Squad planner. Not needed or used and a worse version of squad depth. Manager dynamic timeline. Absolutely pointless and broken. UL/EL license. Nice but not enough to warrant a purchase
  5. I agree. Scouting is an absolute mess now. They have made it way more complicated then it needs to be. The UI in general has got worse each version for about 5 years now. The whole game needs stripping back and a new direction taken
  6. It's a really pointless "feature". It's incredible they spent time on this instead of things like Set prices or AI improvements
  7. Well, for the first time ever I've refunded it on steam. It really does feel like there has been so little improvements. CL/EL license is nice but it doesn't really add anything. Squad planner. Some people might use it I guess but to me it's a conveluted mess and I just felt like it would be too time consuming to use when during the course of the seasons players come and go anyway making the planning redundant. One glance at squad depth was all I ever needed. Manager timeline? What's the point? Seriously what a pointless "feature" The ME was pretty poor to be honest. Improved in some ways and worse in others. Top teams are conceding so many goals. Defenders ball watching balls of the top. I know it's beta and it will probably improve but not drastically. I feel really let down. All the bits that we are crying out for are still untouched (set pieces, player and press interactions, realistic ME, Graphics, AI squad building and Tactics) I also hate the incremental facilities upgrades. Why do I have to go from poor to adequate to good to top to state of the art. Why, if I have the money and stature, can't I go and build the top standard straight away. Stadium upgrades too. Stop closing my stand for 6 months to build 200 seats just because my club rep got a small boost. Again, areas that have been well vocalised by the fans but always ignored. I have played every version since CM98 and this is the first time I won't be buying. Really wanted to like it but felt like I was playing the same game with the same tedious and frusting issues and to be honest I've not been enjoying them as much for 5 or so years. So many of the features of recent years I just send the ass man or request to inbox. I feel SI needs a new direction as the franchise is getting really stale. I also have no issues with bugs in the beta because....beta, but the player progression bug and balls of the top issue's, seriously how did they pass testing?
  8. I believe the only randomisations are the potential abilities of players. Eg Jude Bellingham instead of having a set PA of say 180, he will have it programmed that his PA can be anywhere between let's say 180 and 195, and varies with each save. Beyond that obviously everything is dynamic, so every Transfer, Match and youth intake then changes the future outlook of the game
  9. SI. Realism does not always equal fun. Squad depth was so much better than squad planner. All that was needed was to make it customizable. I miss it and squad planner is a conveluted mess. Please bring the squad depth tab back. What's the point in spending ages implementing these squad plans for 2 seasons away when it changes so much each season anyway. Once glance at squad depth is all we really need. The UI is full of so many clicks and info and menus etc. We play the game for transfers and Tactics, not clicks. I like the fact that you make certain areas of the ui accessible from other areas now, but in all honesty as a whole it's a mess. Media and player interactions are such a chore and so repetitive. I get maybe that's realistic, but this is a game. Not to mention how broken they are. I told my CB who scored 2 goal in the previous game that his performance was great. He then got angry and stormed off because he didn't think so.... I along with many others just send our Ass man to them now. These player and media interactions were added to the game to increase immersion but actually detract from it by being so tedious and broken. Match engine is still broken. All the usual tactics from previous versions are still meta. The new "low block" and attack through the centre promises don't exist. Graphics. I don't care all that much for them, but they are tragically bad. There are mobile games with better graphics. It's 2022 and games from 2005 look better. I get you are worried about alienating areas of the user base without the hardware, but just make the graphics more customisable so they run better. Eg low settings or just 2D only for low hardware specs. It feels like you are using the "players don't have good pcs" as an excused to ignore it. Scouting. Maybe it's just me but it's just a mess. There so many tabs and assignments here there and everywhere. I think the way it was done years ago was better. Training, Set pieces. Why have these not been touched? Please give us a genuine reason as these are the biggest demands of the fans every year. I can only think that Set pieces are ignored because you are worried if you give the players too much control, they will then exploit the engine? AI squad building. This is still as awful as ever. Arsenal will spend £50m on a player and play him 10 times in 4 seasons. Again it seems like this has had no work. AI also low balls the user for offers. Pros? The CL license has been implemented well. This is what we want. Immersion without it being a chore.
  10. I heard. can't believe they changed something that wasn't broken and really useful and turned it into a conveluted mess
  11. Really? They actually got rid of it completely? It was so much better than the squad planner is. I don't need to have loads of tabs and plan years in advance for something that will change anyway. just a glance at the squad depth is enough
  12. I think it's an excuse they use now. There are mobile games that look better. Loads of games have graphics settings low/medium/high/ultra etc to accommodate different specs. As do FM. So no reason they can't push the envelope on it
  13. They always release hotfixes. I think last year they released one 3 days in to the beta
  14. I get what you are saying but that's essentially the Devs of a game saying "yeh our game is broken so just ignore the broken bits" It's a lazy excuse. Not saying this is the case with SI but it's my inclination, considering how many people have been asking for it for years and they ignore it year on year to do UI tweaks instead
  15. Yeh I've come across it. Although I've now sent all media interactions to my ass man. They are soooooo boring and repetitive
  16. Because they (and we) want the match engine to be as realistic as possible. If there are match engine exploits then thats a huge failure of their fundamentals. Remember in FM 2005 when there was a corner exploit. Jack Hobbs scored about 30 goals for me from CB. It's like FIFA/Pes having a way of playing that is unstoppable. like the goal from kick off on FIFA and diagonal running on Pes back in the day.
