  1. It's morning, the Mrs. does snore, As I shiver and ache to my core. But I couldn't care less, There's no room for distress, It's Beta day; my spirits will soar.
  2. Agree with kevhamster there, but just from personal experience, I really dig BenQ monitors for the excellent price/performance. I do a lot of design work, so color accuracy is important to me, and they make some nicely calibrated monitors (I got the PD 3200U which is around your budget). That level of color accuracy isn't needed for playing FM of course and there are definitely good cheaper options.
  3. Yeah, it's something I've always wondered. Surely, not everything should be a blank slate just because of a change in management. Same with the training plan, though that one isn't as disruptive.
  4. If you're only looking for official SEGA partners, Gamesplanet has a 15% off deal, slightly better than Steam.
  5. In a moment of excitement, I pre-ordered CS2 and FM24 at the same time, as if there were enough hours in the day for both of them. Risky.
  6. The number of people who would genuinely enjoy such a neverending struggle isn't enough to pay for the breakroom coffee at SI Towers.
  7. I'm not sure even SI knows for sure. It probably depends on the quality of the build - they're not going to open the floodgates when it's not deemed ready.
  8. How could the "early access" version be any different from the one without? That doesn't make sense to me. If you have FM24 in your Steam library ahead of the official launch you should be getting the beta, regardless of what some 3rd party says. I think they're trying to milk a few extra bucks out of people with this and both versions are actually the same.
  9. I wonder how it will handle FM23 saves that use custom leagues that don't exist in the FM24 base game.
  10. That's the thing, though; these "exploit tactics" shouldn't be that effective. Why isn't SI fixing the engine to either not make these "exploits" (which look like they're mostly down to utilizing extreme pressure and aggression) so effective or, preferably, make the AI adapt better to these tactics, just like it would happen in real life? These tactics haven't even changed much over the past few years - I can still plug in an FM20 tactic and run away with the league.
  11. Well, it looks like in FM24 the dynamic TV deals might help with this (though I'm not sure there'd be any trickle-down effect in leagues where clubs negotiate their own deals like La Liga).
  12. I don't, but that's my point. He doesn't simply speak his mind.
  13. Except every year, the new release is fantastic, the best ever. It's only in the announcement of the next version that the previous one gets a more honest assessment. He'll probably say the same about FM24 when he does the media blitz for FM25.
  14. Yes, or at the very least make them truly optional. If I'm putting my assistant in charge of all the press conferences it has a negative effect when looking for a job. So now I have to attend them, and tedious doesn't come close to describing this torturous ordeal. It's incredibly repetitive, and the answer that gets highlighted at the end is always the one about the referee (who for some reason is always considered terrible).
