  1. Just giving feedback, in case someone is looking for similar information. After much trial and error, I gave up messing with the "ui.main_content_margin" attribute - which, in fact, my poor skinning skills couldn't grasp how it works and what it does - and I started working and tweaking through the long way around: optimizing spaces and heights of containers and layouts as a whole in Team Squad.xml and such screen. By testing with the offset/inset values below - around line 20 of the file - and also the different container's height individually, I was able to achieve something I was looking for: <layout class="arrange_vertical_attachment" alignment="bottom, extend" offset="-8" /> <layout class="stick_to_sides_attachment" alignment="horizontal" apply_to_children="true" inset="-9.2" /> <container class="main_box" id="plti" alignment="left" force_title_borders="false"> <layout class="arrange_vertical_attachment" alignment="top, extend" offset="-5" /> <layout class="stick_to_sides_attachment" alignment="horizontal" apply_to_children="true" inset="0" /> Another positive side was that, when working the longer way, I came across and revamped to my liking the arrangement of the filters/views menus and compacted the screen space as a whole a little more, bringing it closer to the title bar. Playing in low resolution, every inch taking advantage of dead spaces is gold. Not the prettiest way to get there, there are certainly more assertive ones, but it worked for me. Thanks for the help offered here.
  2. Thank you again. I understand what you suggested, it makes sense. However, I still haven't been able to achieve a significant difference by just messing with the various values. The only thing that was actually effective was the suggestion given by @Olas Nick, to remove that line, that did have some visible effect, but messed up other screens. I'll keep trying to find a middle ground, I'll share if I get something.
  3. Thanks for the reply. Indeed, by following your tip and deleting the line, it was possible to make the adjustments that I mentioned previously, but at the same time, it impacted the layout of information on screens other than Team Squad. Anyway, I'm considering what to do, if I keep the screen the way I'd like it and adjust the ones that are impacted - which would be a bigger job, both to edit and to find out what each panel is. Thank you very much.
  4. Sorry to bring this back up and thanks for shedding light on this issue, I was looking for the same thing. I followed the instructions and noticed that the "ui.main_content_margin" appears a lot inside the settings.xml with different values. I've been trying to tinker a bit, but I couldn't see a difference, maybe I'm doing something wrong. Could you please tell me what values would be able to adjust both spaces below? I'm trying to make it more compact: in #1 bring it a little more to the left and in #2, compact the spaces in this box, in order to gain a little more space for the squad list/info. Anyway, many thanks again.
  5. Thank you very much, I am learning a lot following and studying your live version.
  6. That is so much better than the original, congrats. I've always felt that this screen had no "space to breathe" in regards of the info displayed, at least on my resolution, always so tight there. What is the name of this panel/xml, please?
  7. There is no better update than your work for those who like to play in Brazil, @adriano roberto. Absurdly complete and dedicated to the correct Brazilian reality. Muito obrigado, cara!
  8. Thank you both, for creating and explaining the panel and such changes, respectively. I will give it a go.
  9. I would love to learn how you achieved this adjustment, especially on the left portion, with the pitch and tactical instrucions. Since I play in low resolution, it would give me a little more space than I currently have to play with the right hand side. I imagine it's something in tactics overview side panel.xml OR tactics icon info panel overview, is it? Would you mind explaining, please? Thanks anyway.
  10. Oh yeah! I was waiting on this one. They kinda give a certain retro vibe to the aesthetics. Thank you!
  11. Yeah, I was about to also mention that panel, felt it was the one. I was thinking on what exactly to look for (or compare) there. Cuz I feel that this issue brought up by @the_hoyle is linked somehow to the space/height defined for this container, which is usually fixed. If you set a value, you only have that threshold to work with. For example: when I try to increase the size of my faces (playing on 85% zoom and resolution 1366 x 768), I never succeed without them cutting a little off the sides or ruining the kits I use behind them. It's like I if I had only X amount of space to use and that's it. But when you move the players across the tactics pitch, it kind of "frees up" that space more, so the faces increase in size or decrease according to the movement. I could be wrong, though, and I hope I am, so I can understand it for once.
  12. Once again, I'd just like to thank you. And in case other people are looking for this kind of adjustment, yes, indeed: changing things in inbox_title, inbox_body and text under /fonts will allow you to adjust font sizes around the inbox screens and several other panels, as well as many screens across the game (specially messing with the text file, so be sure to backup and observe). In my case, that was exactly what I was looking for.
  13. Did you manage to resolve this issue? I am also looking for this solution, if you can share, please and thank you!
  14. Oh, @_Ben_, you always come in clutch, mate. Thanks a lot, that seems to be the way. Now, a silly question: I imagine that the text sizes inside the various news_item and human xmls related to the inbox stuff will behave individually, or should I assume that adjusting as you indicated, they will all use only one size standardized? I don't know if I made myself clear, but in my case, I would like to make all the texts such as <real id="font_size_small" value="10.5" />, for example, should I have to go in each xml and adjust ?
  15. Indeed, @_Ben_. There are actually two "inbox" fonts under /fonts folder. Although, I gave them a shot playing around with the sizes, didn't see much difference in game while editing them directly. I will give it another go later on, with more time and care. Thanks for your reply.
  16. Hi mate, sorry to bump this, but did you manage to find and adjust the above? If so, would you mind sharing how to, please? I'm looking for the same thing, I got the headlines, but nothing seems to work for both the inbox text and the text on news items sidebar on the left. Thanks in advance!
  17. Hello all, Please, what files or configuration responsible for controlling the size of the text: both in the column with the list of news in the mailbox - headlines, for instance - and the text of the news itself? I would like to reduce the size, I feel its too big for the low resolution I play and I don't want to have to play in a different zoom % than the current one. I have a feeling it's controlled by something general within the FONTS folder, but I didn't want to screw other things up. Thanks in advance.
  18. Look for /panels/widgets/current game date widget.xml. There, change the colours as you like. First line controls the DATE, second controls the TIME, I believe. <widget class="text" id="dtam" auto_size="none" size="9" alignment="centre_x,bottom" style="bold, shadowed" colour="white" height="16"/> <widget class="text" id="dytm" auto_size="none" size="7" alignment="centre_x,top" style="embossed" colour="gray" height="16"/>
  19. The notification circle and the text colour for the numbers will be controlled by the graphic file AND/OR the button.xml inside: \graphics\buttons\custom\interface\notification I assume that in your case you wont have any of them, but you can just create a single button.xml and play around with the "values" of your liking. In my case, I use a graphic with a border, so you can understand what each of the values below will represent: <!-- image properties --> <properties> <!-- image borders --> <!-- these determine how many pixels any content is inset from each side of the image --> <!-- (for example, in the case of a button, the content would be the text label) --> <record id="image_borders" left="2" right="2" top="1" bottom="0"/> <!-- image slices determine the points at which the image will be sliced to enable scaling --> <!-- the image will only slice in the directions slicing values are provided for--> <record id="image_slices" left="8" right="8"/> <record id="font_spec"> <flags id="font" value="fonts/primary_button"/> <flags id="colour" value="bg darker"/> </record> <colour id="red_replacement" name="orange 600"/> <colour id="blue_replacement" name="bg lighter"/> </properties> button.xml
  20. I think these are the icons you are looking for. As far as your last question, these customs sidebars are tricky, they seem to have a life of their own, depending on how you managed to edit everything in order to make it match the colour of search top bar. In my case, after a lot of dead ends, I didnt use any config files to set the colour....they just kept the secondary one as I wanted: Anyway, I think wont hurt - and should work, lets hope - if you thow a couple .xml with the icons on such folder, just make sure you adjust the info below to your liking, give it a try: <colour id="red_replacement" name="XX"/> <colour id="blue_replacement" name="XX"/> If all that fails, check what you have on menubar/data hub icon and planner icon.xml, you should be able to set the colours from there as well. data hub.xml report.xml data hub icon.xml planner icon.xml
  21. If you of all people were not able to edit or indicate the file, I rest my case and understand that certain things are what they are and cannot be changed. Until someone else proves us wrong! All good, once again, thanks for everything.
  22. I remember doing something similar for another icon, but try putting the icon you want named "data hub" and "data hub@2x" inside graphics\icons\26px AND/OR graphics\icons\sidebar. I believe the small one needs to be 26x26 and the other 52x52 px. Clear cache and restart your skin, it should work. Me and someone else managed to solve that as mentioned here. If you dont have these icons, they can be taken from any skin around or even via Resource Archiver.
  23. Thanks for your reply. In my case, it is not 100% from WTCS5, so I dont have such thing. No problem, I'll keep searching, had hopes it could be the same for all of those "left" panels or have some directions to where I could adjust it.
  24. Hi mate, first of all, thank you very much for your work on this skin. Certainly inspiring, I've been trying to learn from the files and get inspired in order to incorporate some things for personal use. In that sense, please, could you point me which file would be possible to edit the text and spaces of that table in the image? I have the game in low res and I'm trying to reduce/squeeze a bit of line spacing, gain some space and avoid scrollbars, as well as testing some colors and contrasts for my staff names/tasks on the left. I managed to get a lot done on the bottom part playing around with team training coaches attribute panel.xml, but not the top part. Many thanks again, any help is appreciated.
