Time to revive this thread considering the fix for newgens is out. Hopefully someone can look at this again. Maybe there would be even more world class players considering newgens spawn properly now?

I respect people like to see their team attacking
And thats another thing I think SI have also said. People dont play realistic in football manager. Everyone wants to attack. Now go watch actual real games and the majority of bottom tier teams dont play this super attacking game people try in game. A lot of boring defending, counter attacking, playing for a draw and so on. Nobody wants to play like that in the game, so SI already have to balance around an unrealistic player.
I cant imagine what will happen if they nerf conversion rate to a lower % to match reality. People dont want realism, at least not in a video game.

SI testing is based on stats. Not on playing seasons like we do.
And yes, if you're playing the games for so many years as me, you can spot changes in the ME. And you dont need stats for that.
I dont care how many years you have been playing this game or how many hours you have, you dont have the code and you dont have the sample size SI have. Saying you can spot big changes, but not being able to provide even a single stat is a plain lie. Simple as that.

So what the point of having 2D or 3D representation if what you see doesnt mean anything?
Im talking about sample size. What 1 person sees or doesnt see doesnt mean anything in the grand scheme of things. SI run a ton of seasons to test things out and check if everything is correct. Do you think 1 player watching some games can spot a significant change to the ME, but somehow not see anything in the stats?

So to conclude you have the same feeling now as you had in the beta when you watch a match? You don't see any difference?
What I see or dont see doesnt matter. You are dodging my questions. You dont realise "well thats what I see" feedback doesnt mean anything?

Football is not about stats and this game it is about enjoying it is art not stat. If you watch your matches you will see huge difference it is a fact.
So many people saw the same thing.
Football is all about stats. Have you seen the amount of data teams, scouts, mangement, trainers, fysio's, cardio's use to determine stuff? The eye can only see so much. And it is biased. Stats dont tell it all, but if you come at me with "a huge difference" and its not measurable with any stat you are simply wrong, dont have a relevant sample size or are biased.

I can't tell you anything about stats. But it's easy to see with the naked eye. The game is just not the same and it is easy to see.
For example with the same tactic in beta with weak West Ham i had 3rd best defence in first season in whole premier league. So with such a weak team 3rd best defence. And than after full version i started with Peterborough probably strongest team in League 1 i was 3rd worst defence on 21place. My free kick tacker scored 0 goals with free kick rating 17, Technique 16 and long shot 16 for League one he is Juninho Pernmbuckano in Peterborough. And in beta i had 3 direckt free kick goals against stronger keepers in first season. Of course in both saves i worked on set pieces for match preparation. And than passing, roles and how roles behave on the pitch are different. One on ones olso. Strikes can't score close to reality. I checked best five leagues after full version no one scored more than 16 goals, that is not possible. And in beta usually top scorers in leagues achieve number of goals around 26,27 or even more. Wingers don't assist like in Beta etc etc...
No it's not easy to see with the named eye. You don't have a statistical sample size and your human eye is biased. SI have a ton of data and the ME code. That's the difference between them and us. Hence why I find it so weird when people claim the ME clearly changed yet I get no proper answers when I start asking for stats.

what can i say that hasnt
ui is terrible
match engine was good in beta , now awful as per usual
yeah , fm hey 🤷♂️😂 typical oh well.
I find it funny how people think the ME changed when SI has already stated multiple times almost nothing changed. What change do you see that made it awful and do you have any statistics to support that? Wouldn't be so hard to find stats to support it if you think the ME changed that much.

I won't be surprised if the impact of Brexit on football (ergo Football Manager) is the first "personal" experience some people have of the situation.
That's a damn luxury position to be in if that's the first thing you notice from Brexit.

I'm usually pretty good at picking up satire and I must admit this one took me a while to realise it couldn't possibly be genuine. A really good effort, well done.
I particularly enjoy the bit where you think Brexit - a scheme designed to restrict access to the UK by those from abroad - is going to somehow benefit a football league obsessed with signing foreigners. Really, really, good comedy writing. I'll be keeping an eye on future posts for more of your stuff, keep up the good work!
Absolutely baffled how this got so many upvotes despite the person writing this obviously not understanding the impact of Brexit or thinking SI just randomly came up with the Brexit rules.
Even more surprised the mods let it up given its a straight political attack towards SI. Absolute nonsense. Who would change their minds regarding Brexit due to a video game implementing this?
Only thing I'm not surprised about is that this person voted for Brexit...

Excellent, hope they fix the AI while they are at. And we wont see Arsenal scouting 97% players that cant even get a work permit like @francis#17pointed out...

Its almost like SI have more information then us and all the idiots here who were complaning it isnt realistic not...

Yeah its a known bug and they are working on a fix.

Im just waiting for the AI to get fixed when dealing with Brexit like some others have said. That and youth regen and the game seems fine to me other than the UI bugs etc. Hope its soon...

At least this seems fixed so thats good news! Now on to when it will be rolled out. Given the Xbox release is tomorrow, it would seem quite logical to push this patch at the same time. Dont wanna bother those new Xbox players with bugs like this right? Or maybe its gonna be the christmas patch...

I personally wouldn't call it a bug. It's just a bit weird IMO. I mean, who knows what the future brings IRL? Maybe footballer are getting better and better, so there will be more Messi's Ronaldo's, van Dijks's , Neuer's and so on. I don't like it, so I changed it
Hmmm yeah, could use an SI answer on this.

What is youth intake bug exactly? I mean, I see regens already in 2021 but does this bug mean that the number of regens will drop in the future or perhaps there will not be any regens created? And if it is a bug when will the fix come?
Yes and no one knows.

I've started a sim to go about 10 years into the future so I can see the effects of Brexit on the games balance. Im currently in December 20204 and these are my findings so far for the Premier League:
- Foreign players are being signed by all Prem clubs, even some foreigners that are playing in second divisions and players that havent played much
- Out of the big 6 only Liverpool have signed regens. Those regens included a player from the Brazilian and a player from the Argentinian league. Both players were about 17/18 when they signed and had played 1.5/2 seasons of first team football but only had 2 u20 caps.
- I saw a few instances of players being signed and never playing for the club, mostly being sent on loan straight away to EU countries. These weren't young players so it wouldnt have been for playing experience. This is likely due to work permit issues and is a massive waste of the clubs money
- I added a manager to take over Arsenal so that I could see if the teams had adjusted scouting with the new work permit rules. This is only one club but it doesnt look good. Out of the 30000 players they had scouted who would need a work permit, only 1000 of them are likely to get a work permit. The problems with this are that it means they are wasting loads of money scouting these players and I can see it leading to team building issues in the future. Ill see how it plays out as on the other hand they might still pump this much money into scouting so that they can find gems like the Brazilian and Argentinian players I mentioned
This worries me the most. Not whether Brexit is implemented correctly or not, but that we have to deal with this terrible AI team building. Do let us know what you see in the future.

Its known and they are trying to fix it for next update.

Found a reddit thread from last year regarding this.
QuoteIt all depends on what leagues you have loaded, like if you've got any of the 'big' leagues loaded the teams in there all have great academies so there's bound to be a lot of good to great newgens.
This was an interesting comment and I think it might be true. Great academies to generate high PA players combined with great training facilities to actually reach that PA cause for "inflated" players in the long term? Just a wild gamble though.

already did
Maybe a bug report worthy? I thought the game balance CA/PA players based on who retired as to balance the game. Doesn't look good to me if there are so many inflated players.

@Jimbokav1971Thanks for reporting the bugs- just to clarify that the hotfix updates already released for the game will normally only be for issues that make the game unplayable. All other issues reported that will be fixed will be included in the first major update, so I don't think that your efforts are being ignored
Well the columns bug for views has been here for 3 years. So he's not wrong with saying some bugs arent fixed fast enough sometimes.

I think there's definitely a big inflation because im 2 seasons in on FM21, I don't check the potential of newgen but when I know im not going to buy them I see it sometimes, and even out of the 10 newgen I checked (who my scouts said have horrible potential) about 7 of them were 170+ pa so who knows how many of them are there.
I think one of the main marketing aspects SI uses is "find and develop a Wonderkid" so maybe the numbers are inflated in order to make the casual player find a Wonderkid easier? Idk.
But if you dont check it we dont know...
We need hard numbers here.

Would like to see more data on this. Especially with people that load all leagues. Maybe @Daveincidcould try? I know he loads up a lot of leagues with his saves.
You might need to look at how many high PA players there are at some date on the future and compare that to the starting date. If that's the same Im guessing it has something to do with the top leagues having better facilities thus actually being to develop those players to their max PA. Just a wild guess tho, definitely needs more research.

Was this issue fixed?
Im talking about the 1) scouting issues. Especially for the AI as https://community.sigames.com/topic/531862-brexit-in-fm21/?do=findComment&comment=12796040 mentioned here. Wouldnt be fun to see the AI completely mess up squad building with brexit.
