  1. Don't wanna be an ass, but how are all these people claiming clearly something changed with the ME yet I don't see a single statistic being thrown out for us to see? If the "changes" were so significant and you have played that much in beta, you would have absolutely zero issues giving us some stats from your team (same tactic etc) and compare it to what happens in the current ME.

If we have to believe you based on your feelings, were getting nowhere.

Also ask yourself this, the ME has gotten a shitton of praise with barely any complains which is a miracle given the most critical FM users are on this form. Why would SI waste their time in a beta to somehow ruin the ME? Makes absolutely no sense even from the evil business wise perspective.

I know what you are saying, and it has been seen in a number of games. I just don't know if it is the sole cause for the changes to this year's UI. I think the major impact has obviously been coronavirus and the problems that lockdown has caused. It can't be easy to make a game under those circumstances.

As far as I am aware most developers will have teams focusing on PC and teams focusing on console. There may be overlap.

I don't want to get to insinuating that SI have skimped because they're making their game available on console. I understand the changes, I just don't like them.

Maybe it is my fault. My desire to see this change, added to the fact that my bug reports don't appear to have been dealt with, has led to words from me that may sound like I am seriously angry with SI. I'm disappointed. Disappointed because I thought the ME in 21 was fantastic and I'd love to be starting a new journey with that ME. I had plans and they're currently on hold.

I understand though, and I firmly believe we all should. I know they are under pressure. Let's just hope we see some changes soon in a patch.

I feel the same. SI are doing a fine job, but I cant help the feeling that they are a bit too relaxed knowing they have no competitor. Theres no reason for them to delay the game by even a week more to fix some bugs that werent fixed in beta. I dont even blame them for it, business is business. They killed the competition and are reaping the benefits from it. But as someone who plays games where bugs somehow arent fixed in years, im happy waiting for just months to get it fixed from SI. So its not that bad.

  3. To add onto all the UI issues, this seems to still be a problem after weeks. Small thing obviously, but the UI this year is truly weird.

I'm happy that we have 20 pages of mostly complaining about the UI tho, not sure how long this feedback thread would be if the ME was the bigger issue.

I almost feel like SI tried making the UI more modern but failed horribly at it.

Please stop about this hue-setting. What you do is, that you just neutralize the ghosting effect, because of the color of the ghost effect. That's not near to a solution.

The issue lays in the used font in FM21: GT-America<whatever>.ttf - The scaling of this font is bogus. If i use another font in the skin, the font is fine.

Oh so you found a fix? Which font are using? Got any screens to compare?

  5. Just to reaffirm a point I made before, the regen faces in football manager are awful. Yes I know they are better this year, but they are definitely not up to standard compared to PES/FIFA let alone other games.

Heres work from basically enthusiasts who have managed to implement something much better. Now imagine SI doing this with a professional team. Could be a nice major feature in 2022. Imagine having real looking faces that arent even faces from actual real people so you dont even run into legal issues.

TLDW: The video shows a program to generate faces based off the regen faces in football manager to create real looking people.

  6. I dont see any downsides in releasing patch notes for the release version. Like even if you dont want them ... you lose nothing by not releasing them? Even a more generic version without diving into the details is good enough for most of us.

The argument "its a release version" doesnt make sense to me. As a programmer I see enough software going from beta > release that release patch notes. So thats my feedback. You lose nothing by doing it and its pretty common, so maybe consider that for next year.

  7. Was doing some reading up on this option and I found on Reddit someone claiming it also changed some PA/CA distribution of current players under the hood along with some other details (the Reddit user didn't mention what these details are).

I thought it only changed the names of current real world players and didn't touch anything else under the hood as that would mess things up balance wise.

So does this option change more than just the names of players and staff?

  8. I would be very surprised if the UI doesn't get any fixes. Surely they have no reason to make the UI worse and then ignore all the feedback from users. This isn't an ME issue that's hard to fix, this is just UI. For which they already have a good reference from last year.

I just hope this doesn't become some kind of move where they reintroduce old UI elements next year and call it a new feature. Looking at you EA.
