How do we feel after the update? I just went on a 7 match winless streak (admittedly that’s what to be expected of my team as we’re relegation candidates). Though not sure if I’ll have to adapt my tactic to the new match engine. I do have to say overall I do like it. The players logic seems far improved from what I’ve seen. My defenders have been passing back and actually playing it short with my GK which is genuinely something I can’t say I’ve ever seen. GK usually hoof it long.

Subscription model was one of the worst things to happen to Adobe / Creative suite. I think the idea that FM should go the subscription route is honestly a terrible idea in my opinion.

I’m expecting big things in this update. The fact that it’s taken so long makes me cautiously optimistic.

If it can help improve the god awful player interactions I’m in 100%. One of the worst parts of the game.

Funny. I have barely had any injuries in my 6 seasons in my current save. Sounds like you’ve just been really unlucky. How are your sports scientists?

Thought I'd share this absolutely absurd stat. 779 headers won in a single season by one of my central defenders.

I can’t believe this problem with headers has been allowed to go on for so long now. It effectively renders smaller attackers useless as it severally effects their match rating. My team, who are on the shorter side have been getting shocking ratings as a result. Losing 50 aerial duels per match (with play through the middle, cross less often, narrow). I really hope this is addressed in the next update. It’s extremely frustrating.

I definitely have found the balance of strikers scoring in the lower leagues to be over powered. I am regularly seeing players score 40 goals in the lower leagues.

When will the Jan transfer update be out? Also will it include changes to the match engine?

Has there been any talk from SI about the crazy amount of headers? It’s definitely broken and unrealistic. I am seeing players with 50+ headers per match. With work the box & cross less often. The league average was 180 headers per 90 mins. Surely this isn’t s realistic number???

Those stadium screenshots blew my mind. Wtf are you doing SI. How have we actually regressed so much??!

Yeah this is particularly annoying as I’m doing a Youth only challenge. It has pretty much ruined my save.

Okay fair enough. But for me it is game breaking. For example, an issue that seems to have been in the last 3 versions of the game (no under 18s in the Scottish leagues, not able to move players back & forth into under 18s, not able to hire under 18s staff) this has totally ruined my Youth only challenge that I have been playing. This is not the first issue I’ve encountered over this 2 week beta. Of course we’ve spoken about the player development bug. Again, a similar issue appears in every release. I just can’t believe the level of quality control that has been put in from SI. We flag bugs, and then flag them again and again. SI responds and then the same or similar bugs are just on the next version of the game? I’m so tired of committing my time to saves, only for big issues and bugs to ruin the save for me. I really think I’m going to have to take a break from the game for the time being. Looking forward to God of War tomorrow!!

Okay you say this, but there are the same issues that have been flagged for the previous 3 years. How can we be happy with that?

Is this issue going to be fixed? It’s a bit unacceptable, to be frank, that it appears this issue has been known & present in the last 3 versions of the game.

I have to say I find it strange that there is no update on launch. So the people who waited to play the game on launch are just going to be playing the same exact version as the Beta? There are so many issues still on the game. Just seems very strange to me to release the game with no change log or real update on the know issues.

Well this definitely sounds like the issue. I don't play/use the editors & I specifically tick the box to prevent the use of the in game editor for my save. So I'm just worried that this will be an issue that won't be solved until we a we get a proper update.

Yes, I’ve been having the exact same issues as this. I’m managing East Kilbride after they got promoted from the non-playable leagues. So I thought it might have something to do with that. But I see you are playing as St Johnstone who are in the SPL. Very strange bug.

Honestly, no. It’s a decent enough idea. But poorly implemented. The UI is really bad imo. It also doesn’t seem to work with my Under 18s & doesn’t take them into consideration for my squad plan. It’s also just straight up not available for international management.
