  1. That's really dIsappointing, it was the biggest thing that ruined FM22 for me. Criminal that it doesn't look like it's been addressed.
  2. The Champions League does have its own score area in game. No idea why it's not showing in your game. Are you using a custom skin? See here.
  3. The whole point of FM is you can take any team from any level to the top of the game if you're good enough. Whilst those teams you mention will probably never reach those heights, it should absolutely be possible for them to do so in FM, otherwise what is the point of managing a smaller team?
  4. Just had the Champions League playoff draw, and the person presenting it was called #person1. I know we're heading towards a dystopian future, but I'm only one season in!!
  5. I might be jumping the gun here, but did you suddenly switch to an OP downloaded tactic for the last season? I mean, you had six players score 147 goals between them alone. That's pretty outrageous, even for an OF team in the SPL
  6. Like every year on FM, I hardly get any injuries, and I leave all training to my assistants. I actually wish SI would bump up the amount of injuries to be more like real life (it's currently only abouy 80% of real injury numbers). Having next to no injuries plays havoc with my squad rotation.
  7. That's how it's supposed to work, you'll always get confirmation of the signing whether you appeal or not. The player will still sign for you, you just can't play him in any matches until you get a work permit further down the line.
  8. Yes, I had exactly the same issue with Brugge. Almost unbeatable at home, but looked a completely different side away. The issue had arisen from the fact I had tweaked my original tactic to be slightly more offensive. So I changed it so I use the original tactic for away games, with a balanced mentality, and my tweaked tactic for home games with a positive mentality. Ended up winning the last 6 games of the season and pinching the title off Genk.
  9. Can't wait for the inevitable posts about changes to the match engine when the match engine hasn't been touched. Every single year.
  10. How difficult is it for the graphics peeps at SI to make sure the sun isn't shining brightly in games where it's pouring with rain?

I thought the format was effectively four groups of nine teams playing each other once (hence the 8 games, rather than the 6 it is now), and this was drawn up beforehand, meaning you WOULD know what eight teams you would be facing? Maybe I've misunderstood though. EDIT - Actually, scratch that, just reading up on it just now, and you're right, there should be no way that's predetermined beforehand. 2nd EDIT - Now another source says the teams will be drawn beforehand, unlike the traditional Swiss Chess method. Who knows what to believe? Why couldn't they have just left it as is?
  12. One of the little annoyances still there, that I've fallen foul of again. When you go to 'clear cache' when installing skins etc, why oh why is the restore defaults option immediately above that? One misclick later and all my squad views, skin attribute colours, levels have all reset to default. It doesn't even give you a warning pop up when you click it. First world problems in the grand scheme of things, but intensely annoying nonetheless.

  14. Not sure stamping your feet until you get you own way is the way forward here, but you do you. People have tried to help you make the game harder for yourself, but you're not interested, so I'm out.
  15. Weren't you the one who didn't want to use the hundreds of in-game modifiers to make it harder for yourself because of 'realism'? Yet here you advocating for some sort of pointless bump in other teams attributes. Something that would unbalance the entire game. Instead of taking resources away from SI to work on actual parts of the game that need improving, why don't you just use the editor to lower the attributes of your own team? Not any less 'realistic' then bumping the attributes of other teams, and to paraphrase yourself, the beauty of it is, it will only affect your game and not involve large parts of the game to be recoded just because you find it too easy winning the league with one of the best teams in the game. But you won't, of course, you want SI to do everything for you.

  17. No, no, and thrice no. Not a single person who has mooted this nonsense has ever had a coherent explanation as to how it would work. Spoiler alert - It wouldn't.
  18. It's not a binary thing though. Playing players when they have low fitness ratings increases the risk of them being injured. In real life, there will be many players who start a game with (in FM terms) 'half a heart' of fitness and go on to play really well and not get hurt.
  19. 14th in the league in my save and Ten Hag has been sacked, and it's only October of the first season.
  20. The worst part is if you were managing one of those smaller clubs and put in a loan offer for him, they'd expect you to pay half his wages, and 150k a month fee!!
  21. Strange message this... For context, the player is 34, and has spend the last 9 years with Brugge in Belgium....which is right next door to his home country of the Netherlands.
  22. Just coming on to post much the same, except about the accuracy. Playing as Brugge against Real Madrid in the Champs League, and twice Toni Kroos played an aimless long ball to nobody. Which is twice more than he's done that in real life in his whole career. Also seeing a lot of long passes where the ball goes too high in the hair, like a big, looping pass that you amost never see in real life. It's a shame because forward play is outstanding in this year's ME.
  23. Yeah, doesn't happen in domestic cups, which is a shame.
