Im in late april 1st season on my man utd save and cent wait to get him back from Panathinaikos although looking at his ratings i dont see me fetching more than 10m for him on top form! I didn't really want to sell him but I had no choice so I brought in the younger Sergio Aguero for 32.5 million as a replacement. Any thoughts/advice greatly appreciated. Pathetically, I won nothing in my first year at the club, instead finishing runner-up in every competition I entered (bar the Charity Shield, which I won ) I feel a lot more confident this season, but failed to get a left winger to replace Giggs or a new GK before the deadline. Nani and Foster just aren't up to it . I now have £37m to spend in Jan and I think it's vital get it right. Any recommendations for said positions, bearing in mind I'm playing 8.02. Ta muchly. If you buy Ramos, he'll easily replace both Brown and O'Shea, but maybe keep brown on as cover for DR - apart from neville you dont seem to have a proper replacement - pique and vidic although you've trained them to play as full backs they are most certainly better of as centre backs. Squad: Can you think of anywhere I need to strengthen? I have £60 million to spend. Transfers: The board agreed a transfer for Nani to real Madrid for £16.25 million and Giggs is not good enough so I need to replace Nani at AML. I was thinking of Guardado9for £20.5 million) but have you got any other suggestions... I also want to sell Saha and replace him with another fast striker...Aguero has a min. fee release clause of £34 million, which I think is pretty good value... so should I get him or do you think I should get someone else... Transfers: I am playing with a 3rd party database so both Ben Foster and Gary Neville are fit. Didn't manage to offload Eagles before the deadline. Community Shield vs Chelsea vs Liverpool Plaing a 4-1-2-2-1 formation so Tevez is backup for Rooney but he's not getting a look in due to Rooney being on hot form, probably play him in Europe have Spartak Moscow, Valencia and Lazio in my group. SeanH91 Posted March 4, 2008 Share Posted March 4, 2008 Well I'm halfway through my second season at Man Utd and have decided to do a little review of how my first season went and how this season is going. First season was one of my best ever on any FM, won every single competition I entered, with Rooney scoring 56 goals in all competitions, 40 in the league. Only made a few signings for the future, including Saivet, Kroos and Sunny. I loaned all my younglings out to gain experience. Only sold one player, which was Owen Hargreaves, to a stupid Italian team named Fiorentina. After only playing about 10 games from August to January, Fiorentina offered a staggering £22.5 million for the hit and miss midfielder. It was a no-brainer really! So that's it for season one, now onto season two. This season I made quite a few signings and sales, some for the future and some for the present. The most notable outs were Michael Carrick, who went to Newcastle for £12.5 million, Darren Fletcher to Blackburn for £7.5 million, and John O'Shea to Blackburn for £5 million. I also loaned Nani to Juventus as I forgot how old Giggs actually was and thought he could play one more season, how wrong I was lol. I brought in a few regens for the future, and both Zaccardo and Pander for free, both of which are really good signings. To replace Carrick I brought in Miguel Veloso for £8.25 million. To replace Nani I signed Matias Fernandez from Villarreal for £10.75 million and I must say, I think he will keep Nani out of the first team when he comes back! And the last major signing I made was that of Lorenzo De Silvestri for £27 million, I know it sounds expensive, but most of it was over 24 months, so it ain't that bad. As for competitions, it's going amazing once again, however I did get knocked out in the League Cup semi-final by Chelsea after extra time In the league my record is Played 20 Won 19 Drew 1 Scored 59 Conceded 14.
