DoubleR
So picture this: I’m manager of club x and want to leave at the end of the season, my contract is running out too. Let’s say I want to move to club y at the end of the season. Is it possible to negotiate a contract which will then start when my current contract is done (meaning at the end of the season)? Or can you only switch clubs right away meaning you leave your club behind for the last few months instead of finishing your contract. In real life you here this situation so often: people announcing that they are leaving to a different club at the end of the season and already having signed. But in FM I feel like you can only switch immediately? Which means you have 3 options: 1) not finishing your contract 2) finishing your job and first be jobless or 3) not switching in between Edited January 3, 2022 by DoubleR
RealSmokePL
You can choose to join at the end of the league season when negotiating the contract. Edited January 3, 2022 by RealSmokePL
phd_angel
Yes, in some cases, the new club will ask you if you want to join right away or at the end of the season. (I always prefer to go immediately).

FrazT
I think that this option will only be offered if you have less than 6 months remaining on your existing contract
