'Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all, but I keep coming back...again, and again. Then I lost again because Albania is bugged, now here I am with an Oceanic Perfectionist. (┛ಠ_ಠ)┛彡┻━┻

We came so close, and then an early red card blew it. I've decided that I am now going to end my time in Micronesia and I'm going to declare interest in any jobs that come up in Kiribati and Tuvalu.

Wallis and Futuna, officially the Territory of the Wallis and Futuna Islands or Territoire des îles Wallis-et-Futuna, Fakauvea and Fakafutuna: Uvea mo Futuna), is a French island collectivity in the South Pacific between Tuvalu to the northwest, Fiji to the southwest, Tonga to the southeast, Samoa to the east, and Tokelau to the northeast.

Its land area is 142.42 km2 (54.99 sq mi) with a population of 11,558 at the 2018 census (down from 14,944 at the 2003 census). Mata-Utu is the capital and biggest city. The territory is made up of three main volcanic tropical islands along with a number of tiny islets, and is split into two island groups that lie about 260 km (160 mi) apart, namely the Wallis Islands (Uvea) in the northeast, and the Hoorn Islands (also known as the Futuna Islands) in the southwest, including Futuna Island proper and the mostly uninhabited Alofi Island.

Since 2003, Wallis and Futuna has been a French overseas collectivity (collectivité d'outre-mer, or COM). Between 1961 and 2003, it had the status of a French overseas territory (territoire d'outre-mer, or TOM), though its official name did not change when the status changed.

Futuna is an 80 km2 island with 5,000 people and max. elevation of 500 m in the Pacific Ocean, belonging to the French overseas collectivity (collectivité d'outre-mer, or COM) of Wallis and Futuna. It is one of the Hoorn Islands or Îles Horne, nearby Alofi being the other. They are both a remnant of an old extinct volcano, now bordered with a fringing reef.

On the island is the place (where the cathedral of Poi now stands) where Pierre Chanel was martyred in 1841, becoming Polynesia's only Catholic saint. Futuna takes its name from an endonym derived from the local futu, fish-poison tree.

Armed Forces of New Caledonia is an interesting team to have in Wallis & Futuna 🤔😂

This is all I've found out about it:

In September 2001 there was a tournament called "Jeux Inter-Îles where Wallis island and Futuna island competed in seperated selections against each other and  a team by the name of Forces Armées de Nouvelle-Calédonie. This was a team comprised of New Caledonian soldiers stationed on Wallis and Futuna. In the end the army club went out on top as they beat Wallis as well as Futuna.

These bookies are rubbish, at 4-1, 7-1 and 20-1 you could arb them to death

You could, there definitely aren't many betting folk in Wallis & Futuna.

Wow that's pretty cool, thanks for the info! Unlucky not to win the league but certainly a good sign after not even a full season

Yikes, tough luck on Futuna so far... relieved at you finding a job at least!

Also I like how you were being seen as champions last season despite finishing 2nd  They must not like the armed forces very much, despite being the sole club with a logo.

Now I've just got to hope that it'll be a bit easier to get a job in Kiribati, thankfully there's a lot more choice in clubs!

Pesky other French, coming over here stealing our league titles! :lol:

You just have to manage my club there, BTC are truly the best club of the country. Say anything else and you're a liar.

Is surely the best option.

I remember them, they nearly ruined our playoff chances in the final match

Only to get spanked in the semi final by Abaiang, so not like we ended much wiser by reaching it.
