10.4 vs FM 2011

SI need to make a game every year as that is part of the deal with SEGA.

They needed to make a game every year before the deal with SEGA. They wouldn't have survived otherwise. Only time they didn't was when they were developing CM4. Without SEGA they'd still need to make a game every year.

I don't think there will be any difference for SI. Patch 10.4 (IF there will be) is just an update of what SI will have done as usual and won't draw back the quality of FM2011.

The only difference is for the game buyers. If there is no Patch10.4 and you want an improved game version with major bug fixed in the future, you will have to wait for 8 months and have to pay for it. Your money for FM2010 has already done its job.

As SI have stated, if they make a 4th patch, it will take time and resources away from FM11, so it will make a difference.
